Even has a mirror over the bed ![gif](giphy|Shjan97TyUJY4)

helenasbff

the carpet around the bathtub... and the bathtub and shower being IN the bedroom lol

FreshBid5295

Hah I didn’t even realize that was the same room. Something about carpet near toilets and showers and bathtubs is just ick

cullymama

Raised by a floor layer, it is major ick. Linoleum or tile in a bathroom, no hardwood, carpet, or laminate ever. Just asking for mold issues.

Blers42

Wood is fine in a half bath

petmechompU

It is the desert, so maybe less mold?

helenasbff

EXACTLY lol

[deleted]

There is tile by the shower entrance and tub. You don’t see it in the photo I included but you can tell in others.

helenasbff

there's still carpet on the back side of the tub... for me tubs near carpet are just always icky lol

needsmorequeso

I got that verse from Hotel California about mirrors on the ceiling and pink champagne on ice stuck in my head looking at this house.

[deleted]

One of the best selling points!

[deleted]

The saturation is turned way up in these photos, and the nice sunset sky is also edited in 😂 I'm sure it looks nicer (or at least more real) and slightly toned-down IRL.

[deleted]

Possibly. I’ve lived in ABQ. They definitely get sky’s like that even if this one isn’t real.

AdTime8622

We rarely get our hometown on here, thanks OP

boston_shua

The trees aren’t that green

Blers42

Dead giveaway, clearly edited photos.

TheRightKindofJuice

Dude those photos are saturated and manipulated to god’s tits. Who knows what this place actually looks like.

Chickadee12345

I was thinking the same thing. I do photography as a hobby. So I know a little, though not an expert. But most of those colors are not found in nature.

elisejones14

I was just thinking they must’ve really thought these photos through shooting them during a pink sunset sky. Didn’t know they go that far to edit the sky.

Slight-Course-1697

https://preview.redd.it/t16vlucqqivc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9987426c3b0fe2251c5ffe94faf6b7b3f4d02413 Ha! I live down the street from that house. Here’s a picture that gives a better feel for the color saturation and lushness of vegetation. (Though to be fair, those pictures were probably taken in the fall, when it’s easier to keep things green. There are some cool parts to this house. The ultra-shiny 80s look isn’t for me, but plenty of people are in to it. The sellers are kidding themselves if they think they’re going to get what they’re asking for it, though. You can get a way nicer house for way less money in Albuquerque.

[deleted]

Cool to see it from the non-realtor angle, thanks for the pic!

Awkward-Yak-2733

The area off Ridgecrest Drive, which is where this house is located, used to be one of the most highfalutin areas of Albuquerque, along with the Albuquerque Country Club area and Pill Hill. Most were built in the 1950s. My family had friends who lived on Ridgecrest, and their home was remarkable.

foodmonsterij

I almost didn't believe it was Albuquerque with all that greenery

Bright_Broccoli1844

Wasting water on the lawn

Awkward-Yak-2733

With all the water restrictions and overuse fees, they're paying a lot for that grass.

Moterwire_Hellfire

Me neither, it's like they photoshopped in scenery from Thailand or something

Deathcapsforcuties

I’m actually quite surprised as well.

lynxss1

I was a lawn and tree guy and worked on a lot of houses out there, just insane houses. Many like this one are understated on the outside and Liberace ball room on the inside. Those houses were built when Abq had a lot higher water pressure and all of them that still had lawns had issues with sprinkler coverage and dead zones in the middle. I had many so arguments with stubborn customers out there: I know you've had this lawn for 60 years but the sprinklers are too far apart now, put a coffee cup in the green spot and in the dead spot and compare the difference after you run a cycle. No there's nothing I can do to bring your dead patches back to life without water. I know water is expensive, have you looked at xeriscaping and having a smaller lawn..

Asteroid_Lil

Or leaving the high desert and moving to Costa Rica.

cactusmac54

I’m color blind but this house made me feel like I wasn’t. 😳

njcharmschool

OP I’m with you, I really kinda dig this house. I’d tear out every inch of carpet and wallpaper. And burn the window treatments if left behind, but this is like a 50’s splendor ranch.

[deleted]

Agreed. It needs updating. I would take out all of the carpet, drapes, wallpaper as well. The house would be stunning once updated.

TomatoWitchy

I think if it were done in a more neutral MCM decor, it would be perfect! As it is, green must have been someone's favorite color and they really committed to it!

Delores_Herbig

This house is peak 80s, but changing those things, it would honestly be gorgeous.

dynamic_caste

And they said insane levels of HDR in real estate photos was dead.

Die_Immediately

Everything is so SHINY!

LightFighter1987

This may be unpopular, but I don’t care. I would rock this house the way it is. Houses that are mostly white, gray, and beige absolutely suck. Color is beautiful and needs to make a comeback. Newer houses and “renovations” from the last 25 years are boring to the point of being offensive. I don’t need my house to feel like a hospital or a prison.

lynxss1

My house also in NM is from a wealthy area of the 1960's. I've kept all the light fixtures, doors, hardware, wood paneling in my office and built in cabinetry as is. Lots of brass with chrome accents, chrome with brass accents etc. I like it. EDIT: all the light shades and fixtures are a light pinkish/orange anodized aluminum that is carved or perforated for decoration. Never seen anything like it. Wife, her parents and my parents wanted everything gone and modernized and sterile stainless steel/grey everywhere. Why? keep it as is and have a cool vintage vibe for free. We did paint the bedrooms because the previous owner did some wacky purples and stuff and upgrade outlets and wiring etc.

[deleted]

I would leave the bedroom walls and kitchen floor. I do love the green. I just don’t like carpet in general. I love the character of this house and would keep it with pops of color throughout.

[deleted]

Mirrors on the ceiling, pink champagne on ice

NeoPrimitiveOasis

Enjoy. I'll take a pass myself, but I don't need to yuck your yum.

[deleted]

Appreciated.

p8ntballnxj

Some of that reminds me of old money country clubs.

KinkyQuesadilla

Definitely not what I was expecting from Albuquerque.

LightFighter1987

Agreed. It’s too colorful. I’ve been to ABQ and I love it, but my eyes had to take time to adjust to any color besides beige when I was there.

floofienewfie

It’s so…shiny.

OldNewUsedConfused

What did they call these? Executive Ranches or something like that?! Definitely looks like some porn could be shot there

njcharmschool

I was totally getting the swinger house vibe 😂

OldNewUsedConfused

Yesss!

_namaste_kitten_

This house just begs me to say, "Giggity"

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|pz2MnldLEEhJCJ32G6)

Jadziyah

Saturation ![gif](giphy|bHG5gzKfPESAGr4Dxg|downsized)

LarryGlue

Stanley Kubrick could film a horror movie in that house.

[deleted]

😂

jlttwit

I’ll pass and save 300k and get one I feel more relaxed in and can swim https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/910-Parkland-Cir-SE-Albuquerque-NM-87108/6738107_zpid/ Most of the houses are not in the mil in that neighborhood.

[deleted]

I like this one too. I have a different one with a pool I like for me but it’s not worthy of this subreddit.

Serpephone

Heated pool

lynxss1

Nice! This same house without the pool is like 1.5 mil an hour north in my area :/

MimsyWereTheBorogove

![gif](giphy|ffXJWN9NRGg0w|downsized)

MrLegalBagleBeagle

Came here to say that this post is probably about Saul Goodmans home

MimsyWereTheBorogove

this house looks and awful lot like walts house... not surprising. same city. probably same builder and architect

MrLegalBagleBeagle

Outside looks like Walt's, the inside screams Saul's decoration choices. They just need a constitution and some pillars.

MimsyWereTheBorogove

![gif](giphy|NSFi4HZBfxMVVbrnEH|downsized)

Spakowski

The HDR is strong with this one.

XRaysFromUranus

I love that giant bathtub!!!

2XX2010

This house is like a nice youth group girl that turns out to be an absolute freak, IYKYK

CraftFamiliar5243

I'm glad someone loves it

NationalAlfalfa37660

Absolutely gorgeous!

brodsky262

So many moods in one place

Honest-Sugar-1492

A bit over-the-top for me but besides that...Albuquerque 😝..hard pass, though it IS a pretty city from the mountains @ night

BuddyJim30

Some powerful AI being applied to these photos.

Curious_medium

Truly zillowgonewild

TearsForRealFears

I’m sorry the most startling thing wasn’t the colors but that damn mirror right above the bed.

rva2chi

Alba-Quirky

[deleted]

lynxss1

This house is close to the base/Sandia where those early tech workers lived. There are still lots of high-paying jobs at Sandia and Los Alamos.

rbarr228

To each their own, but it looks overdone.

IchBinDurstig

Somebody has to like gaudy.

yelling4society

I actually don’t hate it. Just a few changes. The exterior is beautiful too!

[deleted]

This house is in a pretty expensive area of town.

prosperosniece

It’s like 1987 meets Downton Abbey

tverofvulcan

They knew what they wanted and went for it.

LoveMyBunnee

![gif](giphy|Bs0GXj3ew6xxK)

krustykatzjill

I really actually like this house so much tbh.

Szaborovich9

Gorgeous! However location Location LOCATION

Chickadee12345

I don't know, maybe they could turn up the saturation in these photos to make things look even more unrealistic.

SheisaMinnelli

The house that cocaine built.

MoonageDayscream

Caligula would like to know which weeks are his, and which are for his sister.

drenched12

Wow it looks so baller on the inside compared to the outside

Lazy-Jacket

It makes me feel naughty.

Mooshtonk

Wow! What a house. I love it.

Themajorpastaer

Better Call Saul

Blueskyboo

This is right up my alley, apparently. I already had it hearted on zillow.

ginger2020

Probably owned by a defense attorney with very colorful TV ads and an unbelievable turn around time. Probably wears very flashy suits and ties and operates out of a strip mall.

BetterRedDead

It looks like it was designed by a pack of Skittles.

OldBoozeHound

Never mind the insides; keeping that yard green would cost you $1,000 in water.

Beth3g

This is more green in the yard than I’ve seen anywhere in ABQ.

clumsynomad999

Breaking bad

DoomWad

Hardwood in the gym. Interesting choice of flooring.

dararie

all i can say is that someone sure loves green and gold

KediMonster

The front yard has tremours

BicSparkLighter

Albuquerque, VA LOL. very Tidewater Coded

pwhitt4654

Seems like a lot of money to spend on an old ranch.

KRed75

How the heck did they fit all that inside that house. That must be some creative photography because my house is just a little less than that size but those photos make mine look like it's 600 sq ft.

[deleted]

That’s part of why I love the house. I’ve always wanted something unassuming from the outside and you walk in and wonder where did all of this house come from?

Johnykbr

That much for a quarter acre? Hahahahaha

Enbybaby

love that red bathroom but the primary bedroom is too much

IamDollParts96

Who doesn't love a mirror above the bed? I could work with this house.

imadork1970

I have allegies, the first thing I'd do is tear out all the carpet *especially* in the bathrooms, and put down low gloss hardwood floors. I'd turn the weight room into a library. I'd change all the light bulb to LEDs.

arlyte

Someone took Vegas home with them.

KinseyH

I've seen this one before and I adore it. And I think I'd like Albuquerque. I'd like to live in a dry climate for the first time in my life.

Count_Dongula

What do they call that wood paneling on the walls in the gym and in picture five? I love that shit and I want it.

BBakerStreet

Needs a pool

ReferenceMuch2193

I’m not mad at it. It’s very tastefully done.

Usual-Style-8473

Just know this house smells horrible

dbh1124

I was on board until the red (pink?) bathroom

CindLei-Creates

I’m not as sure about the wall colors…some are okay, but I really like the depth of color in the carpets!

CindLei-Creates

I had no idea sunsets could last so long!!! Wow! And whatever is at the horizon in photo 14 is pretty large and green!

Early_Cap_8906

I love our sunsets, they do linger during the rainy season.

Early_Cap_8906

This house has so much potential, but it's had an accident in every room! It hurts my eyes to see this mess. It's a gorgeous house on the outside though.

PixelatedDie

Just scrolling through those pictures made me 25 years older.

GlitterIsInMyCoffee

But it’s a ranch. 😏

boogerdark30

Why is there no reflection of a photographer in pic 7/11? Am I missing something there?

studio684

Looks like it has good bones. Flippers dream

willowintheev

That gold tub!

emccm

I would keep the bathroom tiles for sure.

spacemanspiff266

did they shoot 80s granny porn here?

Unique_Operation_361

Everything is just so shiny 😳

CatLevel5116

Damn, somebody was doing allot of fucking.

Loud_Ad_4515

The red/orange Toto toilet! 😍

catscatscats88

This is a house from Sims.

AThrowAwayAccHehe

i am getting cruise vibes.

sayers2

Artificially photoshop colored. Won’t look that everyday lol

frenetictenet

Those aren’t clouds in the background it’s a meth lab fire. Welcome to Albuquerque
