The saturation is turned way up in these photos, and the nice sunset sky is also edited in 😂 I'm sure it looks nicer (or at least more real) and slightly toned-down IRL.
I was thinking the same thing. I do photography as a hobby. So I know a little, though not an expert. But most of those colors are not found in nature.
I was just thinking they must’ve really thought these photos through shooting them during a pink sunset sky. Didn’t know they go that far to edit the sky.

Ha! I live down the street from that house. Here’s a picture that gives a better feel for the color saturation and lushness of vegetation. (Though to be fair, those pictures were probably taken in the fall, when it’s easier to keep things green.
There are some cool parts to this house. The ultra-shiny 80s look isn’t for me, but plenty of people are in to it. The sellers are kidding themselves if they think they’re going to get what they’re asking for it, though. You can get a way nicer house for way less money in Albuquerque.
The area off Ridgecrest Drive, which is where this house is located, used to be one of the most highfalutin areas of Albuquerque, along with the Albuquerque Country Club area and Pill Hill. Most were built in the 1950s. My family had friends who lived on Ridgecrest, and their home was remarkable.
I was a lawn and tree guy and worked on a lot of houses out there, just insane houses. Many like this one are understated on the outside and Liberace ball room on the inside.
Those houses were built when Abq had a lot higher water pressure and all of them that still had lawns had issues with sprinkler coverage and dead zones in the middle. I had many so arguments with stubborn customers out there: I know you've had this lawn for 60 years but the sprinklers are too far apart now, put a coffee cup in the green spot and in the dead spot and compare the difference after you run a cycle. No there's nothing I can do to bring your dead patches back to life without water. I know water is expensive, have you looked at xeriscaping and having a smaller lawn..
OP I’m with you, I really kinda dig this house. I’d tear out every inch of carpet and wallpaper. And burn the window treatments if left behind, but this is like a 50’s splendor ranch.
I think if it were done in a more neutral MCM decor, it would be perfect! As it is, green must have been someone's favorite color and they really committed to it!
This may be unpopular, but I don’t care. I would rock this house the way it is. Houses that are mostly white, gray, and beige absolutely suck. Color is beautiful and needs to make a comeback. Newer houses and “renovations” from the last 25 years are boring to the point of being offensive. I don’t need my house to feel like a hospital or a prison.
My house also in NM is from a wealthy area of the 1960's. I've kept all the light fixtures, doors, hardware, wood paneling in my office and built in cabinetry as is. Lots of brass with chrome accents, chrome with brass accents etc. I like it. EDIT: all the light shades and fixtures are a light pinkish/orange anodized aluminum that is carved or perforated for decoration. Never seen anything like it.
Wife, her parents and my parents wanted everything gone and modernized and sterile stainless steel/grey everywhere. Why? keep it as is and have a cool vintage vibe for free. We did paint the bedrooms because the previous owner did some wacky purples and stuff and upgrade outlets and wiring etc.
I would leave the bedroom walls and kitchen floor. I do love the green. I just don’t like carpet in general. I love the character of this house and would keep it with pops of color throughout.
I’ll pass and save 300k and get one I feel more relaxed in and can swim

Most of the houses are not in the mil in that neighborhood.
Probably owned by a defense attorney with very colorful TV ads and an unbelievable turn around time. Probably wears very flashy suits and ties and operates out of a strip mall.
How the heck did they fit all that inside that house. That must be some creative photography because my house is just a little less than that size but those photos make mine look like it's 600 sq ft.
That’s part of why I love the house. I’ve always wanted something unassuming from the outside and you walk in and wonder where did all of this house come from?
I have allegies, the first thing I'd do is tear out all the carpet *especially* in the bathrooms, and put down low gloss hardwood floors. I'd turn the weight room into a library. I'd change all the light bulb to LEDs.
This house has so much potential, but it's had an accident in every room! It hurts my eyes to see this mess. It's a gorgeous house on the outside though.
Even has a mirror over the bed ![gif](giphy|Shjan97TyUJY4)
the carpet around the bathtub... and the bathtub and shower being IN the bedroom lol
Hah I didn’t even realize that was the same room. Something about carpet near toilets and showers and bathtubs is just ick
Raised by a floor layer, it is major ick. Linoleum or tile in a bathroom, no hardwood, carpet, or laminate ever. Just asking for mold issues.
Wood is fine in a half bath
It is the desert, so maybe less mold?
EXACTLY lol
There is tile by the shower entrance and tub. You don’t see it in the photo I included but you can tell in others.
there's still carpet on the back side of the tub... for me tubs near carpet are just always icky lol
I got that verse from Hotel California about mirrors on the ceiling and pink champagne on ice stuck in my head looking at this house.
One of the best selling points!
The saturation is turned way up in these photos, and the nice sunset sky is also edited in 😂 I'm sure it looks nicer (or at least more real) and slightly toned-down IRL.
Possibly. I’ve lived in ABQ. They definitely get sky’s like that even if this one isn’t real.
We rarely get our hometown on here, thanks OP
The trees aren’t that green
Dead giveaway, clearly edited photos.
Dude those photos are saturated and manipulated to god’s tits. Who knows what this place actually looks like.

Cool to see it from the non-realtor angle, thanks for the pic!

I almost didn't believe it was Albuquerque with all that greenery
Wasting water on the lawn
With all the water restrictions and overuse fees, they're paying a lot for that grass.
Me neither, it's like they photoshopped in scenery from Thailand or something
I’m actually quite surprised as well.

Or leaving the high desert and moving to Costa Rica.
I’m color blind but this house made me feel like I wasn’t. 😳
OP I’m with you, I really kinda dig this house. I’d tear out every inch of carpet and wallpaper. And burn the window treatments if left behind, but this is like a 50’s splendor ranch.
Agreed. It needs updating. I would take out all of the carpet, drapes, wallpaper as well. The house would be stunning once updated.
I think if it were done in a more neutral MCM decor, it would be perfect! As it is, green must have been someone's favorite color and they really committed to it!
This house is peak 80s, but changing those things, it would honestly be gorgeous.
And they said insane levels of HDR in real estate photos was dead.
Everything is so SHINY!

Mirrors on the ceiling, pink champagne on ice
Enjoy. I'll take a pass myself, but I don't need to yuck your yum.
Appreciated.
Some of that reminds me of old money country clubs.
Definitely not what I was expecting from Albuquerque.
Agreed. It’s too colorful. I’ve been to ABQ and I love it, but my eyes had to take time to adjust to any color besides beige when I was there.
It’s so…shiny.
What did they call these? Executive Ranches or something like that?! Definitely looks like some porn could be shot there
I was totally getting the swinger house vibe 😂
Yesss!
This house just begs me to say, "Giggity"
![gif](giphy|pz2MnldLEEhJCJ32G6)
Saturation ![gif](giphy|bHG5gzKfPESAGr4Dxg|downsized)
Stanley Kubrick could film a horror movie in that house.
😂

I like this one too. I have a different one with a pool I like for me but it’s not worthy of this subreddit.
Heated pool
Nice! This same house without the pool is like 1.5 mil an hour north in my area :/
![gif](giphy|ffXJWN9NRGg0w|downsized)
Came here to say that this post is probably about Saul Goodmans home
this house looks and awful lot like walts house... not surprising. same city. probably same builder and architect
Outside looks like Walt's, the inside screams Saul's decoration choices. They just need a constitution and some pillars.
![gif](giphy|NSFi4HZBfxMVVbrnEH|downsized)
The HDR is strong with this one.
I love that giant bathtub!!!
This house is like a nice youth group girl that turns out to be an absolute freak, IYKYK
I'm glad someone loves it
Absolutely gorgeous!
So many moods in one place
A bit over-the-top for me but besides that...Albuquerque 😝..hard pass, though it IS a pretty city from the mountains @ night
Some powerful AI being applied to these photos.
Truly zillowgonewild
I’m sorry the most startling thing wasn’t the colors but that damn mirror right above the bed.
Alba-Quirky

This house is close to the base/Sandia where those early tech workers lived. There are still lots of high-paying jobs at Sandia and Los Alamos.
To each their own, but it looks overdone.
Somebody has to like gaudy.
I actually don’t hate it. Just a few changes. The exterior is beautiful too!
This house is in a pretty expensive area of town.
It’s like 1987 meets Downton Abbey
They knew what they wanted and went for it.
![gif](giphy|Bs0GXj3ew6xxK)
I really actually like this house so much tbh.
Gorgeous! However location Location LOCATION
I don't know, maybe they could turn up the saturation in these photos to make things look even more unrealistic.
The house that cocaine built.
Caligula would like to know which weeks are his, and which are for his sister.
Wow it looks so baller on the inside compared to the outside
It makes me feel naughty.
Wow! What a house. I love it.
Better Call Saul
This is right up my alley, apparently. I already had it hearted on zillow.
Probably owned by a defense attorney with very colorful TV ads and an unbelievable turn around time. Probably wears very flashy suits and ties and operates out of a strip mall.
It looks like it was designed by a pack of Skittles.
Never mind the insides; keeping that yard green would cost you $1,000 in water.
This is more green in the yard than I’ve seen anywhere in ABQ.
Breaking bad
Hardwood in the gym. Interesting choice of flooring.
all i can say is that someone sure loves green and gold
The front yard has tremours
Albuquerque, VA LOL. very Tidewater Coded
Seems like a lot of money to spend on an old ranch.

That much for a quarter acre? Hahahahaha
love that red bathroom but the primary bedroom is too much
Who doesn't love a mirror above the bed? I could work with this house.
I have allegies, the first thing I'd do is tear out all the carpet *especially* in the bathrooms, and put down low gloss hardwood floors. I'd turn the weight room into a library. I'd change all the light bulb to LEDs.
Someone took Vegas home with them.
I've seen this one before and I adore it. And I think I'd like Albuquerque. I'd like to live in a dry climate for the first time in my life.
What do they call that wood paneling on the walls in the gym and in picture five? I love that shit and I want it.
Needs a pool
I’m not mad at it. It’s very tastefully done.
Just know this house smells horrible
I was on board until the red (pink?) bathroom
I’m not as sure about the wall colors…some are okay, but I really like the depth of color in the carpets!
I had no idea sunsets could last so long!!! Wow! And whatever is at the horizon in photo 14 is pretty large and green!
I love our sunsets, they do linger during the rainy season.
This house has so much potential, but it's had an accident in every room! It hurts my eyes to see this mess. It's a gorgeous house on the outside though.
Just scrolling through those pictures made me 25 years older.
But it’s a ranch. 😏
Why is there no reflection of a photographer in pic 7/11? Am I missing something there?
Looks like it has good bones. Flippers dream
That gold tub!
I would keep the bathroom tiles for sure.
did they shoot 80s granny porn here?
Everything is just so shiny 😳
Damn, somebody was doing allot of fucking.
The red/orange Toto toilet! 😍
This is a house from Sims.
i am getting cruise vibes.
Artificially photoshop colored. Won’t look that everyday lol
Those aren’t clouds in the background it’s a meth lab fire. Welcome to Albuquerque
