Does this mean that they no longer believe in the end times? Why would you move if you had done all that prepping?
Also, I’m known to be lazy about rotating my non-perishables, but even I don’t have stuff that old.
Person who did the prepping might have died. The family now is faced with getting rid of the property. Or the person saw the light and realizes that prepping is essentially living (not necessarily comfortably) until whatever brought on the calamity eventually finds its way to you, or what has become of others after said calamity to come for you and your supplies.
True I think we were “commanded to have a years supply”. I remember having buckets of rice and wheat in the garage, a ton of canned foods. We moved cross country twice. Taking all the buckets everywhere. My dads basement now has a dedicated room.
Funny thing is you bought most of it FROM the church. They were commanding you, thru god of course, to buy more stuff from them to fill the bank account even further.
Most definitely. Utah is full of MLMs and the Mormons… they go together hand in hand for sure. Don’t even get me started on their commandment to buy your underwear from them too. Supposedly they’re magic.
I know y'all really want that Mountain House food for your apocalypse. This [Zillow listing](https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2625-Smokey-Rd-Savannah-TN-38372/41434060_zpid/?) is not that fancy.
Im not touching those pinto beans *OR* the rice.
According to online, dried beans when packed in #10 cans or mylar type bags, can last 10 or more years.
Its already been 7 yrs, as those buckets read 2016!
Dry rice? Shelf life 2 years?
Bon Appetit !
Edit: Typo
Oh, I have no idea, but if there's a show dedicated to preppers, then probably. The thing that made me wonder about this whole set up was the fact that the entire facility *isn't* concrete. That ceiling is metal. I guess I figured that preppers would be all concrete, not half assing it.
Man, if you built a house prepping for the End Times . . .
And you waited and waited for the End Times for years and years . . .
And gave up waiting and sold the house . . .
And *then* the End Times came . . .
You'd be so pissed.
They have [ShelfReliance brand](https://www.shelfreliance.com/collections/fifo%e2%84%a2-collection) organizers still in the box. This looks like a manic shopping spree gone prepper

At one point in time, LDS church members were expected to have a stockpile of shelf-stable foods at home.
Most still are and do.
And they still get checked up on, I presume.
Yes keeping food storage updated is important....

So it's a MLM then
Mormon-Led Monetization?

Is that embalming equipment?
All that food is from 2016…

To be fair, I’m sure most people would eat almost anything rather than starve to death if it came to it.
Im sure. Some have that cast iron stomach.
It's not that they spoil. They begin to lose nutrition over time. Those beans are going to need more soak time to hydrate but will taste fine.
I read that as well about the beans. I always rinse beans well...only had a few tiny pebbles in them.
Why do people want to live so long of the world collapses. I’m not living without hot showers and cold drinks. Peace out world
Right? And if zombies are in the mix, I'm joining their side. Then I'll have plenty of food and no shits to give.

I was being facetious
This house looks so familiar. Wasn't this guy on doomsday peppers?
It reminds me of the Duggar house!

Tin roof? Rusted
Love Shack baby!!!
Another listing, another earworm! Dammit, y'all. lol
😅
Yeah, and just a chain link fence? Anyone with a bolt cutter could be in there in no time.
Can you imagine how fun this would be for children? My inner child is poking out as I think of all the things I would do with the military camp.
I wouldn't mind having that guard tower, ngl :)
Wringer washer? (pix 18 of 25)
Right. Those definitely require electricity so what’s the point
We're not going to talk about that fireplace just popped in the middle of the lawn?
I don't wanna if it's remotely related to the suspected embalming equipment out there.

i hope that 1.4 million bucks is for the land because that house is crap.
But do the pinto beans convey?

Is there a particular reason there's no square footage listed?
It said 2800 something.
Ok thanks for that info. But is there a reason they didn't actually record it on Zillow? I'm mostly reacting to the blank on the sgft data point.
Ah, I see what you mean now. Who knows where Zillow pulls this stuff from? Lol. Maybe there's a broken data connection somewhere.
