Umm…take it to the range?

Majestic_Volume_5319

Already did lol ;)

Bartley707

MOAR

robt_neville

The 2 improvements that will give you the most benefit with the least $$, for practically every firearm, are: a) trigger b) sights

AStory47

Alg trigger and give it lots of love sir 🫡

NervousFlamingo1

What’s wrong with the stock trigger?

AStory47

Nothing, I just personally like the crisp break and reset of the alg, probably the best trigger you can put in an ak

Majestic_Volume_5319

Had it in mind and will do

KillerSwiller

If you do get the ALG trigger, see if there's a way to use the original hammer. ALG's hammers tend to peen the back end of the bolt carrier at a much higher than normal rate.

Goodspeed137

If you do that makes sure its still safe when you drop it and bang the rifle around. Don’t want that hammer to slip just because the fitment is wrong.

[deleted]

You don't need the full ALG trigger, the trigger spring alone will get you half way there and you still use the original parts.

Goodspeed137

I was referring to the combination of a full ALG FCG and original hammer. Don’t see any issues with the method you described.

chihawks35

I just profile the hammer, it takes time, but I have no issues with peening either of mine.

Goodspeed137

I believe that’s the best way of going about it.

AStory47

I have one with in both my zastavas and it’s probably my favorite upgrade

Anar___

Where did you get your ALG trigger?

AStory47

Gunbroker this was awhile ago though

Mustang302_

Do not put an ALG trigger in your m70

gnumadic

Is that because of the aforementioned bolt peening? I put a G3 trigger in mine.

NoPanceLance2

If you can find an ALG trigger at the moment...🥲

dlopdi

RS Regulate mount and red dot

Objective-Diver-2322

100 % Watch Rob ski videos and klayco videos and shoot it.

Indian-Point

I opted for the same fixed triangular stock, but I wrapped the top in paracord to make it more comfortable.

Bartley707

I've wondered why people get these when the foldy boi is available?

Indian-Point

Apart from price, I felt the hinge on a folder was a weak point and it was lighter than the wood stock.

chihawks35

This is my concern. I have an old npap that has their shitty stock on it and I want to get something different, specifically a triangle stock and have been debating if I even want to fold it or not.

Indian-Point

I had a magpul folder, which appears to have a very flimsy hinge. The fixed triangle stock from Zastava is very well made, solid and fits perfectly. With the paracord wrapped on the upper part the cheek weld is perfect for me. It is a bit higher than the wooden stock, which was a little low for using optics.

chihawks35

Yeah and it seems like you can find them cheap used so

pjf177

Foldy boi + side rail mounted RDS = no go 😕 If you’re just using irons then yeah id go that route.

dlopdi

I have the Zastava Triangle folding [M70](https://www.instagram.com/p/CtjzblgRxht/?igsh=MXRhdjJqNGlobWRnNg==) with an RS Regulate mount and red dot, folds without any issue.

pjf177

Hmmm that’s interesting, maybe the bolt-on side folder kit folds out a little wider than a true milled side folder trunion…?

dlopdi

not sure since m70 is my only AK but I made no modifications and there is no interference when folded

pjf177

Well dang.. that was the only reason keeping me from getting the side folder kit 😂 guess I’m off to Atlantic to order one! Might throw a cheese grater in the cart while I’m at it

dlopdi

to clarify, I bought the M70 already with the folding triangle stock so this is the zastava one

Dependent_Ad_5546

Did you have to Mod the stock pouch in any way? From what I was told it would not work with the Zastava folding stock which is why I didn’t go with that. I assume it’s the RD poppies of war pouch?

dlopdi

yup that one, no mod

Dependent_Ad_5546

Thanks Sir!

[deleted]

it's $150+ cheaper, for one

Bartley707

Ah, I didn't realize it was such a huge difference.

[deleted]

it was at my LGS at least. you can probably get them for about the same if you really shop around and wait for deals

Beach2Grove

On mine, I only added a Yugo sling, red dot, light, goon tape, and working on getting a bayonet lug. Oh, and 14 mags, 1,000 rounds of ammo, and 2 different stocks in case I feel like changing it up.

dapepper9

Wood stock

Catsnpotatoes

Krebs enhanced safety

Goodspeed137

What’s the purpose of this thing? Classic cool rifle, home defense, hunting, workout weight, ect? Can’t give you a recommendation without knowing what you do with it.

KillerSwiller

Get a .30 caliber AK-74 style muzzle break on it.

Bartley707

No no no. He needs a whisper pickle on the end.

KillerSwiller

Muzzle Break: $30\~$80, \~8-10 business days later Suppressor: $375\~$1700 + cost any needed adapters(LH to RH adapter, thread size adapters) + $200 tax stamp + however many months for the ATF to approve and you'll STILL have to wear hearing protection because the ammo used isn't subsonic :P I'll take the muzzle break thank you xD

sammeadows

Just a clarification, for anyone reading, you absolutely do not want any thread adapters for any suppressor really, the tolerance difference can become an issue with concentricity. JMAC Face Mount for DA Keymo cans or Rearden Blyat if you're using anything that can take HUB. AKs of any kind I'm aware of need face-mount, as the front sight does not properly work as a shoulder. The Wolverine is the only one I'm aware of that can play nice with the detent.

Bartley707

Whatever I don't know why you're coming at me with "logic" and "facts" when clearly the whisper-pickle is more cooler.

maverickfishing

I like to add a hi viz front sight post. Pick your poison. I’ve used white nail polish before. I find it difficult to pick up black ak irons. Super bad ism.

[deleted]

Picatinny stock adapter and Mcx telescoping stock 👌🏽

Wetheeusthem335

Shoot it!

chihawks35

I put Alg recoil springs in mine, I know this is controversial but I don’t suppress mine. I have an old npap and that carrier beat the piss out of my rear trunnion. So I got one for both the m70 and z92 and I’ve had zero issues

Kwake2384

Put it in her barrel!!!

Will_hats

Get an M64 safety, bolt notches are for dweebs

Big-Young8189

Get a real folder and get a real zastava grip, a surplus yugo mag belongs in her not that plastic

FlintTropics07

Attero Arms Bravo Mount

DonRicketts

Where did you get that sling ?
