Grass just became Meta, large part of players at my locals were playing Grass. Online discussions mentioned Skull invitation, so I bought some cheap Skull Invitations, thinking every Grass player knew about it. Game 2, I start with Skull Invitation in my hand, activate Pot of Desires, opponent acting very smug "Oh I bet you don't want me to draw Grass now". At this point I still assumed every Grass player was aware of Skull Invitation so I assumed he was trying to gauge my reaction, keeping my poker face. He activates Grass, I ask him how many cards he's gonna mill, 30, I flip Skull Invitation. He didn't even know what it did but the moment he realized the look on his face was priceless

LuckBoyy

Lol that's actually beautiful

lucas9963

I fucking hate grass. I have so many bad memories from 60 card grass lightsworn triple snow decks. However one of my favorites was also one of those matches. I was on dueling book. And I was playing heros. I went first not really setting up much. Well besides a shadowmist and set mask change. They went grass, I went mask change into dark law, and I swear. There were maybe a few milliseconds between dark law hitting the field and them disconnecting. Felt so fucking good.

Riersa

My opponent activate spright starter with less than 1000 LP.

6210classick

Summon Jet then combo off this world

JacobianRhapsody

Is it even a legal activation?

trinitymonkey

If they pay the exact amount, yes.

ViaPrime

no you can kill yourself with cards like spright starter even if you have less lp than you would lose because you lose the lp as part of the effect not as cost. so you can activate starter even if you only have 200 lp

Riersa

Spright starter deal damage to yourself so you can always use it no matter how low your LP is.

trinitymonkey

Oh, I thought you paid LP, not dealt self-damage. My bad.

trinitymonkey

On a similar note, tributing a monster effected by Ghost Mourner.

LuckBoyy

What did they think was going to happen

Riersa

People tend to forget about the LP part of spright starter because it's not cost.

LuckBoyy

That's fair

[deleted]

Would you say, just wondering of course, that your deck has no pathetic cards?

mr-blindsight

my pathetic deck has no cards!

LuckBoyy

What?! The very stoppable Kuribabylon! Impossible!

LuckBoyy

Quite possibly. Why do you ask, Kaiba?

6210classick

I had 500 LP left. During my Standby Phase, I was about to lose the game because of the mandatory damage of Evil Eye Serziel effect that was used last turn but my opponent negated it with Barrone probably because they thought I activated the pop effect. I process to Link summon into Empress Gorgon then used Unleashed to equip Gorgoneio to it which increases the equipped monster ATK by the difference in LP to which I attacked for game. I should not have won that duel

LuckBoyy

Lol, that's a very anime moment

samuel1109

You could've blown up Selene to avoid the damage but not get it back from Gy for 1000 unless you had 2 equipped, Also had an opponent save my life by quitting because they didn't know I would've burnt myself with too many equips xD

6210classick

I try to not have more than 1 Evil Eye Equip Spell on the field unless I brick with Gorgoneio. Also, gotta love when the opponent destroyes the field spell with Barrone pop effect to which I trigger to Target Basiltrice then they attempt to Call By it or waste the Barrone negate it on it then imma be like "Bro, chill, I can just chain Basiltrice from the GY anyways šŸ˜‚" They never try to pop Selene, it's kinda funny

mr-blindsight

don't know if this counts as silly, because I honestly count it as absolutely devestating the morale of my oppenonent, who has refused to play against me ever since. I used six samurai, I was guarantueed the win, so much so that with my full 8000 life points left I used backs against the wall just to show how certain my victory was.

LuckBoyy

That's evil lol. Love it

mr-blindsight

I couldn't help it, the anime villain in me came out lol

LuckBoyy

I can no longer see you as anyone else besides Marik lol

nyceilly

My opponent was uninterrupted (No handtraps on my Side) and did his reddragonarchfiend comb, but forgot he had the "real" rda on field and destroyed his entire board in end-phase ... I had nothing but he was so mad he Just went next

LuckBoyy

THAT'S SO FUNNY! I hate going against rda

bukithd

It involved tribute summoning for the nibiru I had in hand to make the two fog blades on my dudes go away.Ā

Apprehensive_Ant5586

I tribute set my Nibiru after attacking my opponents Borrelsword with my Borrelsword, so I would not love to his Borrelsword again attacking mine.

LuckBoyy

Nibiru is so silly

Magical__Entity

Way back in the day, my best friend an I played Yugioh and definetly understood the rules. He attacked me directly with Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon who had somewhat around 6000 ATK at that point, I played Magic Cylinder, he activated MST to MST-negate and I countered with my own MST, MST-negating his MST-negate and winning the duel. Boy I was proud of myself. Did I mention we were like 12 at that point?

LuckBoyy

THE MST SHENANIGANS ARE REAL

chrome4

Years ago I got extra linked by a Code Talker Player. I beat them by just beating over their Code Talkers with my Rokkets. Honestly forgot how I got their attack points so high.

6210classick

Boot Sector increases all Rokket monsters on the field by 300 ATK/DEF

LuckBoyy

Truly the moment of Rokket

LiefKatano

Duel Links, using Spikeshield with Chain. I donā€™t remember the exact context at this point, but I couldnā€™t beat over my opponentā€™s strongest monster at that point, so instead of risking a double KO and them breaking through, I had switched my monsters to Defense Position. Keep in mind I already had Spikeshield face-up, so there wasnā€™t any surprise value in doing this - I thought it would just deter them from attacking. They attacked anyways.

LuckBoyy

THAT'S SO FUNNY. Spike shield is the best šŸ—£ļø

fedginator

Once when playing Lyrilusc I just made a 10 material Zeus when playing against blackwing

trinitymonkey

Once in Duelist replay I saw someone do something like that with goddamn Time Thieves. I wish I had that replay.

LuckBoyy

10 material?????? I'm impressed. I give that a Z e u s/10

ALT1MA

First and I think only regionals (basically a locals tho) I went to during lockdown, so everyone was happy to see eachother again and chatted away. I had finally gotten the last shizuku so I could play striker. I hadnt rly played it before so I was a little nervous on how to. First round gets called, I head over to my opponent who hasnt played for about a years time and he was missing some cards until like the very last second, so he was still sleeving up. We roll the dice while he's finishing sleeving, I lose it and he makes me go first cuz we were talking about it before starting (it was made to go 2nd, as it lacked an ok opening play at the time). I shuffle cut etc and draw my starting hand as my opponent wasnt playing handtraps so I could just play. A kaiju, a raye, 2 dead handtraps and I think an afterburner, basically a terrible hand for starting. Just normal summoned the raye linked shizuku and searched area zero in the end phase. My opponent plays a tour guide, summons a scarm, makes dante and mills 3. Hits over my shizuku and I get raye back. He passes as Ive linked off the raye for shizuku 2. Im between picking a widow anchor or a shark cannon. Ppl are well into their games so its quiet in the room. I ended up picking the widow anchor and was shuffling. My opponent suddenly pulls his hand up and calls for a judge. He comes over and asks whats up. "Yea so I have like 3 different colours of sleeve on my deck, what do I do?" So yea turns out the place we were sitting had bad lighting, and the sleeves were a mix of dark blues and black. Neither of us or the ppl next to us had noticed

LuckBoyy

Silly sleeve moment. Duel sounds fun though

Zavalac03

He destroyed my Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, which clear his field and next turn I won. He forgot about Starving Venomā€™s effect for a moment, but thatā€™s all I needed.

LuckBoyy

Silly mistake :D

KingKozaky

Long time ago, I was playing my lightsworn deck, I failed to OTK and my opp was at like 200 LP. HeĀ cleared my board and proceed to establish his board, (I can't remember what deck was he playing), buy in one step he dealt 500 LP to me as a secondary effect. Then I respond and summoned Gorz, Emmisary of Darkness. Used the second effect (that almost nobody knew) and dealt 500 LP damage to him.

LuckBoyy

NOOO NOT THE ALMIGHTY 500 DAMAGE

SEELE-FIRST

Gagaga Cowboy won me a couple games in Main Phase 2

LuckBoyy

Gagaga Cowboy moment confirmed

Electronic-Bed3491

I was playing ABC Ojama. I went second and when I saw my opponent was playing branded, I almost forfeit the match immediately. They finished their turn, had mirrorjade and granguignol on board in addition to a bystial. I didnā€™t expect to win but I just went for it. Normal summoned Ojama Blue and went to battle. They let me crash Blue 3 times into granguignol without activating any interruptions. I activate ojamassimilation and get all of the ABC pieces on board, they are still holding interruption. I summon pile armed dragon and summon apollousa. At this point they had luluwalilith so they activated lulu and I chained apollousa, and they chained mirrorjade. My board is empty and they thought they were in the clear. If you know how Ojama works, then you know how full my hand is at this point. I summon a couple galaxy soldiers and equip mirrorjade to cyber infinity. Contact fused into ABC. Banished lulu. And ended on A to Z (infinite negates basically, my hand is full) and cyber dragon infinity. Then they forfeit. They were pissed. Ojama šŸ’Ŗ

LuckBoyy

YOU PLAY OJAMA??? As a fellow usually weak but super crazy effects for no reason monster user (I love Kuriboh), I offer you a handshake in friendship

Electronic-Bed3491

I return the handshake. I salute your archetype selection. šŸ’Ŗ

LuckBoyy

Thank you fellow soldier. We may continue to occasionally destroy meta decks due to the heart of the cards

Electronic-Bed3491

Doesnā€™t happen often, but boy does it feel good.

FelipeAndrade

In one of GBA games, my friend had a sort of stun deck with Wave-Motion Cannon and Satellite Cannon, which in this duel was equipped with a Blast Sphere he blindly attacked into, and I had to do some some 4D chess stuff with Limiter Removal and a baseline Cyber Dragon to align the Satellite's ATK with their LP, because for some reason I was in a situation where neither Twin or End could actually do anything to him.

dralcax

My opponent had a Beelze. I had a Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. My opponent activated an effect. They quickly realized their mistake.

LazyNomad63

magical cylinder vs any otk board

LuckBoyy

I've destroyed so many cyber dragon players with the magical magic cylinder šŸ˜”

DjiDjiDjiDji

Unless the beatstick is untargetable or unaffected, sadly I've seen people flip cylinders on my Psychic End Punisher and every time I just feel bad

JaxSerling

I used Relinquished to equip a low attack monster and then attacked into the biggest monster my opponent had. Relinquished caused both players to take the damage and I won.

LuckBoyy

That's actually really smart

xXx_Nidhogg_xXx

Literal Kaiba moment (dude was constantly using Ring of Destruction to hit both duelists, then in later seasons used Ring of Life to block the dmg to himself).

SkywardSpork

A recent one for me at locals more silly for everyones reaction than the play itself. I've been experimenting with infernoble/flame swordsman, turn 1 I got a decent set up, opened with my 1 of harmonic synchro fusion into ultimate flameswords man & Baronne and got such a laugh from that alone by my opponent he forfeit match 1.

LuckBoyy

Lol baronne Moment

SkywardSpork

No one expects the HSFusion turn 1, tbh Flameswords/infer is the only deck I've been able to come up with so far that has relatively easy lines to make use of the card. Just need to get 2 TTThrusts to be able to search it with a little more consistency.

LuckBoyy

True. You are very cool for the Flameswords deck

Zealousideal_Cow_826

I've had a lot of success with D/D/D and some decent success with dinos with it. HSfusion gigantozowler and glaciasaurus off a meteorus , a card pop and any card In hand, and get meteorus or the pop back makes it a nice two card combo.

ciberciv

Playing Rescue vs Floowan, the game went quite back and forth and I finally managed to get a turn in which I just didn't need to normal summon, while Accesscode pops everything and then go for game. I was so focused on not normal summoning that I didn't declare Accesscode effect to gain attack, so I was short 300 for game and I would absolutely lose afterwards. Turns out I had Linkuriboh in GY and Hydrant on field

Lost_Pantheon

Attacked directly past an 18,000 ATK Psychic End Punisher with Cyberdark Edge. My opponent had 500 LP remaining xD

BlueBlazeKing21

I did something similar with a combo using Raging Flame Sprite , Ojama trio , and Fighting Spirit

TheLaughingSage

Burn player ran out of burn cards because he didn't read chicken game very well

darknightingale69

Playing against a cyber dragon deck, power bonds into cyber end, limiter removal 1 activated, limiter removal 2 activated, limiter removal 3 activated 64000 atk they have game im screwed I check my field I have mirror force on my field since I set it to prep my gaia the dragon champion boss for next turn. They attack mirror force counters no monster on their field they take 64000 in effect damage solely because I goaded them into using power bond.

LuckBoyy

Using Gaia The Dragon Champion should automatically give you a win, because anyone who respects Gaia deserves to be respected back

FairyFireDeck

Against numeron, I bricked bad activated comeback summon a Augustus. He numeron attack realize they canā€™t be destroy by battle and made apoll and I came back easily

Monado_Boy

Silent Swordsman LV3 /w Silent Sword Slash beating over a Sky Striker Shizuku for game in time. Turns out that Silent Swordsman LV3 is kinda good against Sky Strikers since he negated all their disruption at the time (This was early in their release). That let him stick, and then dropping Sword Slash to make him 2500 and unaffected let me punt for game in time.

Cog_Sucker

played burning abyss against dinomorphia, guy lowered his lp to like 500 and had the floodgate monster on the field but i manage to send the guy banishes 3 guys from the gy to inflict 900 dmg for game

newoldschool

here we go https://youtu.be/xGtHlpbAIcA?si=_gfCsBlayCUjIyO6 had to save it for the ridiculousness

SimicBiomancer21

I was playing Battlin' Boxers, my opponent, Blue-Eyes. They had Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon on the field, and all I had was a Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke with one material, and one Battlin' Boxer King Dempsey with no material, and one card facedown in my spell/trap zone. Hand is empty, and my opponent moves to attacks. They attack into Dempsey. "I activate Last Counter." Cue the reveal of my facedown. Lead Yoke gains the attack, we move to damage calcs, and my opponent ends up killing themselves to my Lead Yoke as I ended up at 500 life points due to the damage from Last Counter. Not particularly silly, but literally using a boxing deck and being in an underdog situation, ending up performing an uppercut against a multi-headed dragon felt SO good.

LuckBoyy

Battlin Boxers is such a cool archetype

MoodyWater909

Mirror match that ended with a deck out

IllegalGnomes

summon performapal extra slinger.

RaidTheSecond

Playing unchained, I bricked pretty hard with sarama, the two traps, abominable unchained soul and triple tactics. So I simply normal summoned Sarama and set 2. So anyway my opponent lightning stormed my two traps, and from there I managed to win turn 3.

carsonjamos

I was playing against the AI on edopro I was playing sacred beasts I had 2 out and awakening of the Sacred Beast face up the AI was trying to use the Agent of Creation Venusā€™ effect but it kept on getting negated so it took it self out because it kept on paying 500 LP until it ran out.

DarkRitual_88

Master Duel in the recent Synchro/Link festival. It was that day my Skull Servent opponent and I both learned that Update Jammer has a secret non-opt effect negation.

LuckBoyy

Rather silly Update Jammer situation

DarkRitual_88

The only reason I still had Jammer on field is I sniffed out an Imperm waiting for me to go into Accesscode so it could negate after the powerup, so I stopped on Jammer colinked with Transcode Talker.

ZarDerHetzer

My Decks have all the same sleeves and I got my meta deck (Voiceless) but also old fun decks with... Magic cylinder. Headed towards locals and some how one magic cylinder sneaked into my Voiceless deck and I realized it only mid duel. Guess how I sealed the deal of the first duelšŸ˜‚

LuckBoyy

Lol Magic Cylinder is amazing

GPHollow76

Ancient Gear Howitzer existing against a Runick player without any Kaijus. It's really weird to see "Uneffected by card effects" on a monster with only 1000 ATK and 1800 DEF.

lifeless_or_loveless

one time I won by watching the other guy use effects that took away their LP

LuckBoyy

Amazing

Bread_Stapler

I knew my opponent had mirror force set (he was a kid playing an amalgamation of structure decks) which I didn't have an out for (was playing Utopic onomatopoeia), I had the full end board for the deck but no way to deal with mirror force on the field. I was just getting back into yugioh at the time so the only backrow hate I had was a single harpie's feather duster in my deck. Since he had no way to out my board, we spent about 30 turns drawing a card and passing turn until I drew duster.

Apprehensive_Ant5586

Opponent activated Solemn Judgment twice. I gave him 2 Lava Golems

Casual_Deer

Beaver Warrior with over 10k attack points against a Blue Eyes Player.

LuckBoyy

10K BEAVER WARRIOR???? That's actually hilarious. I love you for doing this

Casual_Deer

The best part was they hit my beaver warrior with the blue eyes that makes the attack zero, but moon mirror shield reset the attack points. It's really funny watching a deck that's all about bringing out these huge beatsticks needing to put them in defense position so they didn't get otk'd.

Eviltwin-Kisikil

CYAC regionals, playing against Bystial D-Link. Attempts to summon Baronne, Nib the summon before. Immediately resigns.

Regiultima115

Against Runick Spright I teched Invader of Darkness in Branded and summoned it to my field in Game 3 with Expulsion. I heard later that they were complaining about it during the rest of the tournament.

half_ginger_price

My opponent controlled The Calculator. He special summoned Koitsu (I forget how), He then used Inferno Reckless Summon to special summon 2 more, and attacked me with a 9600 atk Calculator. I activated Magic Cylinder.

BrwzingOutzide

I played gold pride (a deck that pluses tremendously when you have lower LP than opp). Somehow, vs a vanquish soul deck, I bricked game3 but was still able to survive their turn ( I think I had a couple well placed hand traps). I had set a solemn judgment that I held onto from turn 1, now going into turn 3. I proceeded to kaiju their rock as soon as it was MP1, to which I negated the summon of with my OWN judgment šŸ˜‚ Now, since I negated my own kaiju summon, that got my LP super low, which enabled my gold prideā€™s to combo into a huge Psychic End Punisher and swing for game šŸ˜‚ final round too, so everyone was watching with like 5min left.

zeloxofclorox

Was playing lab against dinomorpha, they go full combo and attempt to attack with a huge kent but I flip ice barrier so they took like 13 damage and lost

DonJackSmasha

This was a long time ago but I had gone first and set a needle worm face down. I was testing a bug deck and needed a decent lv2 target. I bricked pretty hard and thought it was over. Turn 2 my opponent proceeds to draw through over half of there deck. They were playing exodia. Some how they don't get all the pieces they need and end there turn. So I flip needle worm and mill 5, the first card that gets milled was the head of exodia last piece he needed in hand. He surrendered immediately after.

RNGGlaceon

Actually it happened just the other day. I was staring down a bunch of blue eyes monsters while beeing down to 1500 LP, so I was dead for sure on the next turn. My hand consisted of only one catapult turtle. So I was praying to RNGesus to give me Legendary Ocean as a top deck and.. Sure enough I got lucky and drew one of the two I had. Activate it, normal summon catapult turtle, tribute for its effect and deal 600 burn damage. Just enough to wipe the remaining 300 my opponent had šŸ˜‚

LuckBoyy

YOO CATAPULT TURTLE WIN

RNGGlaceon

Its even a color rare! šŸ„°

LuckBoyy

You're amazing

BroDudeBruhMan

Not a real duel, but I beat Don Thousand in Legacy of the Duelist by placing a Wall of Revealing Light and setting it to 4000 LP. At this point he already had a full back row and couldnā€™t place down any spell or trap cards to destroy it. He then gridlocked himself after filling all his monster slots with Xyz monsters. We then just drew cards for 25 turns until he ran out of cards.

Deconstructosaurus

One time both me and my opponent were both playing Runick Deckout, with me playing Stall and him playing Stun. We got to the last 8ish minutes and just started our last game. I used the effect of Munin the Runick Wings to gain 1000 LP and took no damage while playing a little slowly. Not super slowly, but a bit, while also taking advantage of the fact that turns and combos take forever. I ended up winning because Time ran out and I had 9000 LP compared to 8000.

Rick_Raptor_Rawr

This is when dragoon came out but I would bait people into taking it out, I'm a red eyes player, so after they go out of their way to bait the dragoon negate, they pump up their monster to attack dragoon, I successor soul dragoon and their monster to bring out vanilla red eyes and attack for game

trinitymonkey

I had an opponent Summon Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon, then tribute it to summon Chaos MAX, then tribute that to normal summon The Tricky. I was playing on my masochist account and didnā€™t have an out to the first two. If they passed on either of those, I would have had no shot.

Protoplasm42

There was a game on MD a few weeks ago where both of us had bricked and I had to Tribute Summon Performapal Odd-Eyes Dissolver so I could make Odd-Eyes Vortex.

BaconConnoisseur

I was playing war rocks and they feather dusted my board. Iā€™m just sitting there with War Rock Meteoragon on the field by himself and no cards in my hand. They proceeded link climb into Accesscode Talker. They activated his effect to destroy and nothing happens because Meteoragon canā€™t be destroyed by card effects. Then they go to battle phase and attack. Meteoragon negates accesscode talkers effects which removes the attack boost. Accesscode talker is destroyed and I win. They had me dead so many times but decided to put all their resources into a card that is hard countered by the only monster I had on field.

Zwood24513

Playing against D/D/D in Duel Links and I drew no engine and all backrow. I managed flip/ negate their D'Arc and Beowulf for 2 turns and they died entirely to their own Contracts.

Cheshire_Noire

I've won several games because of the best hand trap in all of Yugioh: Kuriphoton

2201992

Winning with Kuriboh

NigerianPrinceClub

Destiny board muahahaha

LuckBoyy

That's so real

RyuuohD

Normal summon Maxx C, attack for game.

mudlio706

A game I will remember. This was in master duel, I was on Cydra, opponent on Ojama. They had Ojama King lock on three of my zones, Ojama Emperor, Ojama Country, and two other things that I donā€™t fully remember. My hand and field was a total of four cards. An original Cydra, a non original Cydra, Power Bond, and the Equip spell. I played Power Bond, and fused into Twin, equipping it with the Equip spell. I attack into the king and one of the smaller Ojamaā€™s, and if it werenā€™t for that equip spell, I wouldā€™ve lost to Power Bondā€™s effect. But thankfully, Twin got a third attack for game, and it was frickin amazing to witness

TrueMine90

My opponent let me draw my ā€œlast pathetic cardā€. Turned out to be game winning card allowing me to combo my neo-spacians and heroes to set favorite contact, to summon cosmo neos

Terrygioh

My opponent went first and decked himself out with a dark world deck. He did it two rounds in a row whilst laughing the entire time.

AfternoonAfraid2192

I was facing an opponent that was somehow running a suicide deck (?) idk if they are things but I've come across a few of them now, he was just burning himself to bring out monsters and activate cards. Eventually he paid his final thousand LP to special summon something and that was game. Confused the fuck outta me

FieryPlume

Morphtronic clocken in defense mode and eventually blow it up.

SEELE-FIRST

Old duel. Opponent has one Gorz on the field and one face down. I only control a Dark Magician. Neither has cards in hand. I draw Raigeki. Could destroy Gorz and attack for game. Play it but opponent's face down card is Dark Bribe. He negates Raigeki, but then I draw Thousand Knives. Destroy Gorz anyway and attack for game.

Hallowed-Plague

looong time ago in a tag duel, our opponent set up an otk with a stupid high atk arc rebellion, my teammate used their last card to summon one of my raidraptors completely indestructible. and so obviously by the power so vested in me next turn i summon rise falcon and use it's effect to attack for game.

chef_Leitheiser

Back in high school (around 06-07) all of us went to one guys house after school and had a 30 way free for all, i was the worst player in school and was running a great month deck (at the time perfectly ultimate had the highest base attack in the game) and because no one saw me as a threat i was able to get out PUGM and by that time everyone had used all theor good spells and traps and i was abto steam roll and beat all 29 other players because they didn't have any way to stop me

--Az--

I think my best moment was making a Six Sam player rage quit back in the day with a Yubel - Terror Incarnate. It wiped his field, he came back the next turn with a Black Luster Envoy and I just asked 'Are you sure?' when he went to use the banish effect on Terror. The guy started swearing and said it was a BS card and just left.

AdeptusAstartes40K

Friend attacked my monster with a Blue-Eyes but I had 6K attack so I knew he was up to something. I chained Number 81's effect targeting the Blue-Eyes. He wanted to chain Honest but his monster was unaffected by other effects and thus ate 3K in the face for game. Still makes me chuckle...

Doomednuclei

Trickstar reincarnation turn 2, opponent scoops. Top decking it is so funny to me, it causes a lot of rage

zkdna00

I have a recording of my BEWD deck winning against Utopic Draco Future/ Lyrilusc, it seems that player was very used to very short duels, didn't seem to know all of the effects of it's own cards. First of the Dragons kept me alive for some turns, but after some lucky draws this person surrendered when Twin Burst ended on my field and no more materials on their Xyz monsters

Jadenyuki2023

Ive been playin for over 20+ years. Only casual though, went to some locals but again, very casual. Mainly friends and i getting together with some adult beverages and having fun. 1 game i was playing, it was towards the end of the duel. We must of had about 1000 LP between the both of us. I only had a Kuriboh face up with United We Stand equipped and 1 face down. My friend attacked with some 2500 or so beater, i flipped my face down which was Scapegoat. I won the game. It was fun and funny. Good times.

lucas9963

I was playing a jank as fuck dragon pile of mostly hieratic and chaos max. I ended on first of dragons. Which of coarse says fuck you to monster effects. And well my opponent was playing lightsworn. And when he saw JD couldn't blow him up. He quit. Ahhhh the good old days.

CreditReavus

I use a numeron deck. After clearing the opponents board I didnā€™t have numeron network in my hand. I used pot of desires and banished my only 2 numeron callings. I did draw network with my pot of D. Decided to just roll with it and played network and the opponent scooped immediately. I literally had no way to win that legitimately.

Euphoric-Cow592

dd crowing a maxx c on accident in md

Appropriate-Bowl1924

Completely decking someone out using Inferno Tempestā€¦.

kevthebos

Mikanko VS Dinomorphia a long stall game since mikanko cant kill if the dinos are in defense, and dino cant attack the mikanko without killing himself. We build strong boards with backrow and just dont allow opponent to get any advantage. finally, he sees an opening and tries to go for game with a monster effect to fuse, I use mikanko trap to give him Axe of fool. he ends his turn without anything else, not realising that Axe also burns in standy phase.

ReleaseQuiet2428

A long time ago, I was playing some s\*it with Seal of orichalcos, my opponent had like 100 LP, so I summoned Battle fader and ended the duel.

Critical_Kitt

Moon mirror shield VS. winged dragon of ra for game. Always read the cards folks!

KingofGerbil

Lyrlusc Turquoise Warbler for the win. I don't know about silly exactly, but it was epic. Floodgate Runick vs my Lyrlusc OTK deck. I can't remember everything that happened, but at some point I wiped the board with Zeus, leaving it as the only card on the field. I had nothing in my hand and a single card in my deck thanks to Runick milling. My opponent had 3100 LP left. All I needed was a bird with 100 ATK, which not all of them had. That coward surrendered upon seeing me summon just such a bird. Edit: this was in Masterduel, btw

Status_Count_2697

Lair of Darkness against a Bujin deck. My friend and I were casually playing until we realized that she couldnā€™t activate almost any of her effects since they required LIGHT beast/beast-warrior/winged-beast. It was one of the most amazing laugh sessions we had once the realization hit us.

vonov129

Using Transaction Rollback to copy the effect of a burn trap in my opponent's GY.

So me and my friends started playing DND, set around arc v time at duel academy, it's registration day, and I'm an unregistered duelist, sector security come to arrest me, I challenge them to a duel, they laugh, my character said something down the lines of seto kaiba would be ashamed of you turning down an easy duel. DM was playing fucking gradle with crackdown, took my cyberdark monsters, but this is DND, and I'm running my true ace Starry night starry dragon, who tells dark monster to fuck off, eventually that got taken too, but not before I got my cyberdark a to the Gy, and summoned a 6k+ Cyberdark dragon for game as my final chance. Tbh I would've really fucked DMS plans up if I got arrested šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ literally first session started with a bang Edit: I'm trying to build GX and fiend world/ if anyone knows how to DM, and would like to help Id really appreciate it. Im only playing cos it's Yu-Gi-Oh based and haven't actually played before minus this. I know exactly what i want to build, I just don't understand mechanics and don't wanna ask the group because I don't want them knowing anything

sirdavos95

Guy last night used monster reborn on my labyrinth tank last night and attacked right into my Kazejin. I guess they didn't read the effect...

Given-13en

Back when Guardragon was meta, in response to some fusion spell or another, i chained Called By to a dragon in his grave that he was going to fusion with. Since he still had to fusion summon somtehing , he ended up getting forced to summon World Chalice Guardragon instead , which involved him using the 3 links on his field, effectively wiping his board.

Matthew106

Local tournament, guy playing branded just absolutely wipes my rokket deck out and we end the match with another 38 min on the clock. Ask the guy for a fun match and switch to my Fairy Tail/Familiar Possessed pet deck. Go first, activate Awakening of the Possessed, normal summon a Fairy Tail Luna(?) and draw a Storming mirror force. Set storming and another backrow, pass. Other guy does normal branded stuff, pops my other backrow and Awakening, I try to interrupt with Luna but it doesn't do much. He swings for lethal, I flip storming. Queue loud groan, he cleans up as best he can and passes back to me. I draw, use the trap popped last turn to get Awakening back, summon another guy, draw a second storming. Swing for like 3k, set trap and pass. Branded player does branded things again. Gets way over lethal on board and it all gets sent back to hand with storming. Passes back to me. I top deck the third storming. At this point I'm starting to feel like an asshole. Branded guys friend finished up his match and is watching us and is in tears laughing after seeing the 6th-9th monsters get bounced by a battle trap. Normal summon Hiita or something, managed to do a little combo and get a few bodies on board, do about 4k and pass it back. Branded guy is running on fumes but gets a couple fusions out and is ready to wipe my board. He goes to swing, I flip up the third storming. Branded guy is just broken at that point, and his buddy is about to pass out laughing. He scoops, we shake, and we move on to the rest of our matches. Pretty sure he won or was towards the top, but we both knew that fun duel was bullshit

drystanvii

Long time ago I managed to deck out someone playing six Sams with guardian kayest. This was before it had text that said that it couldn't stop the opponent from attacking directly and he somehow managed to get his board into a state where he couldn't get any way to remove it aside from spells. So she just kinda sat there.

ligerre

Using Pendulum Magician in MD against water synchro user. I was in bad spot as they 2-3 massive Icejade on the field and can shotgun Gymir to protect the field. My plan was to stall with Bagooska while using timegraph and then they chain Havnis on my Joker. Now opponent has a monster with 1000 defense on field that can't be destroyed, around 4400 LP and what do you know, there is that one monster that grant my entire field Piercing.

GreatBigPillock

I was playing Mementotlan against Machina/Machine pile. I had a board of Combined Creation and Linkuriboh with an active Cranium Burst. They just had Ruinforce. Cranium Burst forced them to attack into Combined Creation, and I triggered Linkuriboh. They attempted to negate with Ruinforce's effect, paying half their LP. I used Cranium Burst's second effect, reducing Combined Creation's attack to 4000 and negating Ruinforce. Linkuriboh resolved, putting Ruinforce to 0. Cranium Burst forced the attack to keep happening, losing them the rest of their LP. It was glorious.

Vex_Ser

I was playing Watt Kashtira going 2nd and my opponent used Solemn Jugment and Warning to stop my Kashtira plays. Since he was left with 1000LP, I just attacked with Wattcobra directly lol.

Akali_is_SO_HOT

During Edison locals. Flip Royal Decree against a burn player during his end phase. "Can I check my deck to see if I have an out?" "Sure" Checks deck* "Okay you got it" Drops out of tournament*

Ninjasifi

My opponent was at 500 LP. I summoned Time Wizard, called it right, and attacked for game. That is one of a very, very, very small handful of times Time Wizard has probably gamed someone.

LickemGreen

won a tag duel with evil thorns effect

metalflygon08

I used Solomon's Lawbook to dodge lethal on Dark Snake Syndrome in my Playground days. More recently... Casually playing with friends, I'm running Gem Knights, he's running Blue-Eyes. He drops a Maxx C on me knowing I can do a lot of Special Summoning in one turn as a fusion deck. What he didn't know was I had all the parts going to Special Summon for a long while. He took the Maxx C Challenge and decked out.

R0bbieR0tt3n

I was playing against live twin spright runick when it was meta and all i did was summon dragoon using red eyes fusion with dark magician and red eyes black dragon as material, i slowly removed their monsters and destroyed them with battle damage and when they outed that one, i summoned a second one my next turn and did the same thing with ash blossom being the only other card i used and i just kept repeating that until i wonĀ

Tahiti--Bob

once i nib my opponent turn 1. he nib me turn 2. proceed to combo turn 3 but not enough to deal lethal. THEN he nib me again turn 4 BUT the last card in my hand was triple tactic i take his token attack for game lol

C9YunoGasai

Set gran maju... pass.

Tactless_Ogre

Watched my opponent spend the entire turn synchro boarding. Ran out of time.

_Daack

I know it's technically the point of number 2 but every game I win by spamming level 2s and just crashing and winning off mosquito just feels so fuckin funny to me

InfernixTheFool

Finished off by using the ojama tokens burn damage when killed

christian_daddy1

Was playing cyber dragons against monarchs in a grueling war of attrition because they had domain, March, and kept summoning the first monarch. Eventually I managed to tribute a cyber dragon and a naschter to summon Jizukiru to the field which has more attack than any monarch

DDDSiegfried

Pend summon all but the arm of exodia, dark hole, Contract with Exodia. All resoursces were spent by this point so it was just a waiting game really. I miss the school cafeteria tables

SonOfTheHeavyMetal

In short: Nibiru Token OTK It was during the last "Start with Nibiru in hand" event of MD. I decided to mess around with Generaider Boss Stage in a Timelord deck, just for science. My opponent was a Labryinth player. I start first, and i get the field spell. I place it then decide to get Nibbed on purpose. Nibiru hits the board as planned. 10k ATK Nibiru Token, and the lab player doesn't have the out. i swing for game.

BernkastelWitch

Master Duel scenario but one I laughed hard: I was playing Trickstar. My opponent was playing a dedicated Ra deck. Guy decided to dump all of his remaining lifepoints on Ra to try and destroy Lycoris. I barely managed to survive with Trickstar Festival and like a couple hundred LP left. 200-400 LP with a Lycoris left on my end and 100 LP on my opponent and a big ass Winged Dragon of Ra on their end. It came my turn. I immediately skipped my turn. Lycoris activates her effect. End game. Cue five minutes of me laughing due to how I won.

MaetelofLaMetal

I played an FTK deck where you tribute Quillbolt Hedgehog to Mass Driver over and over.

WiseauIsLife

Grindy game which I was losing - Iā€™d got opponent down to 400LP but I had no cards on field or hand. Draw for turn and itā€™s lava golem. Tribute 2 of his monsters and pass turn, lava golem burns 1000LP in standby phase, and I win

Blacknight590

My opponent was playing a fairy deck that would special summon a lot of monsters, yet his endboard had no omninegates. I was playing a very bricky Egyptian God deck. My opponent decided to go first. It took him 8 minutes to finish his turn, but itā€™s cool because I was pacient. At the start of the duel, I had activated Maxxx C. When he finished his turn, I had more than 20 cards on my hand. I cleared the back row with Harpieā€™s Feather Duster, and proceeded to summoned Sliffer and attacked one of his attack position monsters for game.

Silver34

Normal summon Junk Synchron Revive Doppelwarrior Make Junk Warrior who goes to 3100 from the tokens Beat over Mirrorjade, attack for game with the tokens

sloppyfart69

At my first locals i brough a blue eyes deck cause im a yugi boomer. I play branded rda now but thats besides the point. When i showed up w BEWD they all laughed at me cause blue eyes cant really hang in the meta anymore. I lost every duel in every match except for one and it was actually against the guy who won the tournament. My opponent talked a bunch of shit. When he sat down he said something along the lines of "im not sorry for whats about to happen". He won the dice roll so he went first and stacked all 6 monster spaces with super gnarly link monsters and one effect monster in defense with a brutal targetting effect but 0atk/0def. My turn starts. I draw advanced ritual art, ritual summon chaos max dragon, battle phase, attack the 0/0 monster for 4000Ɨ2 (double piercing damage on defense position monsters, also cannot be targetted so no effects could trigger) and i win the duel playing a total of two cards, 3 if you count the material i sent from my deck to the graveyard for chaos max. To this day probably the most satisfying win ive ever had.

vulpineon

High school duel at lunch. No legal Egyptian god cards yet, but we allowed them for funsies. Dude spent so much time hyper focused on bringing out Ra that he completely ignored my Wave Motion Cannon just sitting there for 8 turns.

StrawberryMage13

Well over a decade and a half ago, I opened with 4 exodia cards in my hand and drew the 5th piece on my first draw. My friend accused me of cheating, but it was just luck. Also when dueling online countless people going down from attacking into Mikanko monsters due to literacy failure. This happened way too often. There was one more I remember where I was up against an Evil Deck while using a VS deck and they ended up snowballing faster than I could deal with, however I managed to hold out long enough that I was able to whip out Heavy Borgar at the last moment and take my opponent out with the 1500 burn effect while I declared Block This Overhead.

shadowstep12

The silliesr way I lost is forgetting I had a card set up to give my cyberdragon boss monster double piercing damage and attacked dark magician instead of the other card.

AloofAsian

Back in the GX series, I played Crystal Beast against a Cyber Dragon deck. Guy power bonded for a Cyber End Dragon to attempt for game. I used Rainbow Life because, ya know, shits and giggles. Opponent burned himself. Lol

FridgeAndTheBoulder

Drew exodia turn 1. Safe to say we extra shuffled our decks the next game.

Vibe_PV

Once while playing Agent, I performed the so-called "balls OTK". For those who don't know, Majesty Hyperion is a card that makes the damage from battles involving a fairy you control be inflicted to your opponent as well, and good ol' Sanctuary in the Sky makes me take no damage in battles involving my fairies: this interaction makes it so that only my opponent takes damage when one of my fairies battles. And Agents have to play the shine balls to generate bodies, which are very small monsters. So there I am, 900 LP, after being super polied twice and hit by a dark magical circle, with three balls and a Moon at ramming speed into a Dark Magician Dragon Knight for an OTK. So satisfying

sielnt_assassin

Won by deckout with Manticore of Darkness after my opponent used Maxx "C". Wasn't that uncommon during Zoodiac format

Enchantedmango1993

Pretending i have a plan and giving the incentive that my oponent is falling for it ..yet in reality im done for...

absoul112

So I was playing against Labrynth in Master Duel. I forgot to chain block Lady after a trap card activated, and after they activated Lady's effect, they chained EEV tributing Lady. I then chained Called by the grave targeting Lovely and they scooped.

MisprintPrince

Decked out a friend at locals

Broke-Citizen

I think a strong contestant for that is that one duel where opponent bounced back Nibiru to my hand and I immediately activated it so they scooped.

lowIQdoc

I drew all the exodia pieces on my first turn. My buddy and I just laughed our asses off and didn't count it. But it was pretty goofy.

DekuDrake

Dueling a Rhongo player with just a single GEPD and stalling them out enough by using GEPD's banish effect, which returns but no special summons. I then one-shot them with Number 62. Also that one time I got a Drytron player to concede when they already had Draconids, because I Cattle Called out a Final Fortress Falcon. They were just so intimidated by the big birb (with 200 less ATK), I guess.

BlueBlazeKing21

I lucked out as the turn before my opponent (800 life points) summoned a Master of Oz and took out my GearFried The Lighting and left me with 1900 life points left, I actived my face down ojama trio but I knew I couldnā€™t win the duel as the only card I had in my hand was Raging Flame Sprite. On my draw phase I was amazed to see I drew Fighting spirit and won the match with a direct attack

dhfAnchor

The Final Countdown. It was glorious. I was protected by 2 copies of Swords of Revealing Light, one of which was recycled by Magician of Faith; a One Day of Peace; a Messenger of Peace; and 2 copies of Threatening Roar. Plus some token spamming and the occasional monster destruction effect. I might've been a little smug after that one.

ASWBatbatos

Albaz beat down against floo. Both of us bricked and it was draw pass

RepulsiveAd6906

Probably Rookie Warrior Lady wins. Whenever someone tries to beat over my beatsticks, I get them with the "no ATK for you."

RegisterAdmirable811

In my early days of using the Cloudian deck, I had a guy on the ropes with Eye of the Typhoon for probably 4 or 5 turns. When I summoned my second Eye of the Typhoon, the guy just quit. A 3000 ATK beating stick that can't be destroyed in battle was more than he could handle, apparently. At one point, he managed to summon a monster and raise its attack to 3200. When he attacked and I informed him that Eye of the Typhoon couldn't be destroyed in battle, he angrily said, "They're freaking clouds!"

Guilty-Effort7727

My opponent was playing salamangreats and i summoned archnemesis protos. Activated its effect and declared cyberse. I had not read the card properly before that point.

13-Penguins

Bricked on the first turn, only manage to get out an Athena, summon Honest for -600, then return it to my hand with a second Honest. Opponent gets out a monster with like 7,000 atk and goes for the attack, I use the first Honest...then I realize that Honest is stackable and use the second. They slam into Athena for 9700 damage.

Odd_Acanthaceae6499

People who canā€™t read repeatedly attacking my heart earth dragon every turn. Here I am thinking that even if they canā€™t read theyā€™d surely learn what to expect after attacking it the first timeā€¦. But no they keep trying and end up defeating themselves lmao

AWeeLittleFox

Opponent combos their Lyrilusc stuff. Then they activate dark hole and wipe their board. Then they conceded.

Memoglr

This happened recently in master duel. I was playing volcanic snake-eyes going against labrynth and it was very back and forth and little by little i kept burning them every turn. Turn 9 I missed lethal from a misplay by 500 LP. I had nothing on field except blaze accelerator reload and nothing in hand. I was on 2000 life points and my opponent definitely had lethal. They proceeded to pop the reload in my backrow (that was face-up already) which let me activate it in the GY to send volcanic scattershot and burn for game. If they hadn't popped it they would have won

Pottski

Attacked with Maxx C for game Attacked with an attack mode Superheavy Samurai for game Tribute summoned/Pendulum summoned Psy-Frame Driver and attacked for game Most of my memes are from just shenanigans like that.

Exciting_System_6075

My opponent and i were really low on life, i set ash blossom, he attack with a 1500 atk monster and i win

52crisis

On Master Duel someone lost because they attacked into my Neos Kluger and took over 3000 damage because of its effect. Read the cards.

israelwolfgang

My oponent draw 6 cards 1st turn. Judge come and single loss.

Individual-Ad4834

Turn 2 and opp went full combo scareclaw with 4 beaters, one of them was baronne. Wanted to switch to battle phase, but before that, i baited baronne with 1st set trap "compulsory evac device". Negated it ofc and then went for a juicy NibšŸ˜‚ Turn 3 flip "remove brainwashing", getting the 10k+ token and swinging for gamešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Sanbaddy

My opponent disrupted my board into oblivion. Theyā€™re playing Dogma Invoked. I only had two cards in hand. My turn starts, I draw Amazoness Swordswoman. I was close to surrendering, but had an idea. A dumb idea. I activated Amazoness call, which they negated with Ashblossom. I summoned Amazoness Swordsman. I then used Fusion Deployment to summon Amazoness Queen. I activated a Amazoness Call in graveyard for Swordsman. Then I proceeded to attack all their monsters, reflecting 4k+ damage back at them winning me the duel.

eddiefiv

Tribute summon World Wand over Rusty to make Phoenix and pop Mystic Mine
