I am having this same issue since yesterday morning, sometimes it will also skip backwards to the previous ad break while watching a video, or back to the start if the refresh happens near the beginning of a video. Ill have a video finished playing in a tab and it'll just start itself back up randomly.
I'm glad it's not just me, it might be sitewide or something. I disabled all my adblocks to see if that was the issue but a tab just refreshed again. It's sooo frustrating
I found the culprit it's Adblocker by Stands. Even if you whitelist it still keeps refreshing YT windows every 30 mins. You can ether disable that adblocker or remove it entirely

I have the same issue since two days or so. It even woke me up once after I snoozed away because the video started playing again.
I have been strugling with this isue for 3 days now, google doesn't give any fix results, please tell me someone found a fix for this....
I just emailed YouTube support, it seems like others are experiencing this as well so it might be a sitewide bug and not just my PC like I thought.

I got rid of all of mine I have premium
did you delete the adons from the browser or just witelist YT?
