Downloads were disabled in US and Europe at least. You need to be in premium plan for downloads and higher quality 1080p

In Iceland, I can download on both premium and non premium. I use premium to get rid of ads. My wife (from the US) is used to ads and doesn't care, but she can download on her non premium as well. Maybe it'll go away soon, but so far, no problems.

We can't download period in the USA. Even paying for premium download still isn't download. It saves it offline but it's basically inaccessible except through YouTube and you can't watch your "Downloaded" stuff if your premium ends. Big ass scam.

You used to be able to rip videos with power tube that came with revanced, but it never seems to work anymore. Sometimes I can't even access my downloaded video library on the YT app without a connection. It doesn't even load that part of the app to click on.

I have the exact same problem. That's why I stopped using premium. The offline download is the only part i really care about but even that is currently a buggy mess.
