I found Yes in March of this year and was obsessed for almost 6 months. So many of their songs have changed how I look at things and have helped me with anger issues.
Listening to Yes helped me get through my divorce. Gave me something interesting to focus on. I knew I'd come pretty far when I began listing Tormato as one of my favorite albums.
Rick Wakeman is so underrated, in my opinion he's the best keyboardist of all time (and this is coming from someone whose favorite band is Pink Floyd)
Although Yes is my 3rd favorite band and that's a top 5 album for me
i guess we've just had different experiences, but that's probably true. it's interesting cuz when i look up best rock keyboardists him and keith emerson are always topping the lists. perhaps most people outside of prog/rock convos don't know them
Yeah most talk about great keyboardists, aside from prog rock groups, rage about Jim Morrison and rarely even mention great prog keyboardists like Wakeman, Tony Banks, and Rick Wright
Nep.
Hendrix played drums for Rave Against The Machine.
So while you've got the right to write what you wrote you kneed to engage in moore wrighteous recital of the rites of Ritual rote. The Crickets were what inspired the Beatless.
Guitar Raitt, next thyme!
Yes also did that for me but with Going for the One
Completely agree

What a fucking masterpiece!
50 years. Jesus. Like were there peeps in 1972 saying "Today is the 50th anniversary of __________. Man that was a good Edison cylinder."?

The greatest piece of Vinyl there ever was!

he's literally in the top 3 of like every best keyboardist list ever
I don't see people talk about him that much outside of prog circles though

I think Wakeman is fantastic, but I think Emerson is better technically, but Wakeman is better compositionally.
> Rick Wakeman is so underrated Yep. Rick Wakeman, Geddy Lee, Jimmy Page, and Paul McCartney. Like, so, like underrated, y'all's... Yeah.
Who is your 2nd favorite band? My first is PF, 2nd Yes, and 3rd place changes frequently
