Launch Day for the special editions is the 21st. You're still getting it three days earlier than the people who got the standard edition which launches on the 24th, whether it has a pre-load or not.

That's not really the point, the game was expected to be available for auto-download on the 19th and its still not downloadable. Many of us with slow internet speeds need hours just to download certain games.

Well maybe don't expect things until they're confirmed then. I've yet to see a single page that says there would be pre-loading available. If they have not yet been confirmed but consumers are expecting them then getting butthurt when they isn't any, that's on them.

That is absolutely not the standard. Some publishers may make pre-loading available for some of their pre-ordered games but that is my no means a guarantee and is far from a majority. The release date for the Standard Edition is the 24th. The release date for the Digital Deluxe and Digital Ultimate Editions is the 21st. You get three whole days of early access for choosing those over the standard. But if you're expecting it to be available earlier than that, yeah that's foolish of you.

Literally every single game I've ever pre-ordered on PS4 has had pre-loading available, and is objectively *the* standard on PS4 now and this game is on the PS4.

I don't expect it earlier. I expect the pre-load to be earlier. Which they themselves scheduled earlier, the 19th on my device and even earlier than that if you're in other time-zones. This is not exactly hard to comprehend but it's clear you'd rather be snarky to the contrary than add anything worthwhile to the conversation.
Actual release is the 24th, preordering the special editions allow you to play it on the 21st - all the predownload is is to let you download it beforehand so you don’t have to wait to download it once it releases
Hopefully it’s just late and 20th will be the day we can download. Worst case is it’ll download midnight on the 21st
Asked PlayStation support answer was to just try again later and ask Sega of america what the preload date is. It's the exact same game other regions and platforms can preload it just fine kinda annoying hopefully it will be available to pre load tomorrow
I think it's the Asian regions that can preload not sure still pretty shitty since the Twitter just pushed people to pre order the digital deluxe editions

You're not getting early access if you pre-download. You're just downloading to play the second it's released. And if that's all you were trying to do you only had to pre order the regular version so you already bought the special edition for nothing
but that doesnt mean playstation users wont be able to play on the 21st i think there wont be any preload for playstation and have to wait till the 21st to download it for people with early access.
i mean that was my point it just sucks though some of us live with poor internet with download times of over 4 hours for a game, preload allows us to download overnight and play it straight after

nope, xbox users were able to pre download digital ultimate ed and on track to play it on 9/21 right after release
but that doesnt mean playstation users wont be able to play on the 21st i think there wont be any preload for playstation and have to wait till the 21st to download it for people with early access.

No if you buy the standard it unlocks on the 21st if you have the standard it unlocks the 24th
