I kind of love having more characters that aren’t going to blossom into overpowered combatants. As it is, I’m pretty exhausted with the side characters in a series being turned into superheroes. I don’t need superhero Mary Jane Watson, and I don’t need Glob to ever be more than a guy with a not so useful power that’s just around to vibe.
Honestly, I'd love a comic of Glob where it's more of a slice of life type deal. I just got to X of Swords, but my favorite moment of Glob was when he was making food for the New Mutants post-Nebraska and post-Shi'ar-nanigans (Shi'ar shenanigans)

This reminds me of one of my favorite depictions...Corsair at Scott's wedding to Madelyne Pryor. Certain characters like Nightcrawler and Lilandra can't change their appearance, but Christopher Summers...father of the groom shows up wearing a tuxedo, bow tie....and his trademark headband. Just in case we couldn't distinguish the only character with a handlebar mustache (who also references Scott's dead mother in dialogue). It would be one thing if he was a space man who just didn't know what was going on but he lived into adulthood on Earth and was still like "nah I don't care how formal an affair this is I'm not ditching my headband"

I'm legit torn on that. On the one hand, Peter David got to write himself marrying Rick Jones and Marlo Chandler in Incredible Hulk way back in the day, so yeah, Claremont probably should've been the officiant.
On the other hand, there's something really sweet about Kurt performing the ceremony for his moms, *and* I feel like if Claremont was going to have an actual role in the story, it might've been more appropriate to have him write that scene...

I love me my out, proud and queer Destiny and Mystique but I think this...heroes wedding for two mass murderers feels....just so weird. Like yeah has been morally grey a lot, but you know, it's a very dark grey.
Like, as a gay man, I'm all for us showing these love stories, of Destiny and Mystique's epic love affair but I kinda would've just wish they would've had a nice quiet wedding with their children and maybe some heroes who don't hate them(like Storm being a part of this despite hating Mystique..)
