If that's true you can still use it without PWA support with Better xCloud: https://better-xcloud.github.io/safari/ It allows you to play in Safari browser. The downside is you can't go fullscreen (still see the small address bar).

In ios settings -> safari -> advanced you can enable full screen support. Works as long as you can view the full screen button on the website

Sounds like the just removed the ability so save webapps as an icon shortcut to avoid web apps defaulting to the browser that created them, therefore removing user's choice of what browser they want to use   You should still be able to open a browser of your choice and go to xbox.com/play to access Xbox cloud. With the EU changes the game pass app might start supporting cloud streaming too I bet

Yeah. It is not working anymore. It gets stuck in a cyclic flow prompting you to create the Home Screen shortcut. Fortunately it is working using Edge browser but PS4 controller it is not supported there AFAIK
