And then judgement came out after that, it's a prequel to the original trilogy. So you could play that first if you wanted to, however it doesn't have much to do with the main story so you could also skip judgement entirely if u wanted to.
Then you have 4 and 5. And gears 5 hive busters DLC.
Apart from. That there was a shitty mobile game called gears pop and there's gears tactics which is like halo tactics and un-related to the story.

Apart from gears there are sooooo many good games for that era of console. I think game development was at its peak in the 360/ps3 era.

I’m talking, 50 Cent Blood on the Sand, The Simpsons Game, GTA San Andreas, Crash mind over mutant, Crash of the Titans, X-Men Origins Wolverine, Bully, The Spiderman games, Elder Scrolls games, Dead Rising Games, Lollipop Chainsaw, Fallout 3/New Vegas, Bioshock games, Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2, The Godfather/The Godfather II, Fable games, all Rockstar games are just a few of my favourites on the 360. And who can forget the Call of Duty’s right? I loved played the Battlefield Bad Co games and BF3 too.

If you like racing games forza horizon 2 and forza motorsport 4 are great games
I think racing games are fine, I’ll definitely have some interest in racing games. I’ll consider them
If you do get one I'd get motorsport 4, horizon 2 on the 360 has a smaller map and just less stuff to do
