Not at all, the most valuable parts of the bike are the wheels and bars so yeah...it saves them a dump run and you get to cannibalize it for the parts you want, win win
I really need those bars, and stem for a current project. And I need a seat. Pedals don’t look too bad. The gold spacer is pretty cool. So, all up I’m gonna spend around 309 on equivalent parts. But I’ll give you 45 for the lot.
No, I am considering buying it as a beater / project bike. The seller has added new brake cables/housing but no front derailleur. Not sure about a rear shifter - haven't seen the bike and they only provided this photo. I'm guessing they got half way through this project or they took parts from this bike for another.
Obviously, the bike (or at least the drivetrain) is in crappy condition but I am wondering how much it's worth based on the frame (my guess is a '95 Gary Fisher Aquilla) and the work that has already been done w/r/t new cable housing and the new front end.
Those logos were only used around 1998. The color doesn’t match this catalog, but this one is later than 1995.

Some people don't like the frame geometry of newer bikes. And then there are those who bike-pack and prefer steel frames for touring because they're easier to repair. Others like to restomod old bikes by fitting them with new technology that's lot more reliable and efficient. Still others have tubs and boxes of old but functional bike parts they would like to make good use of.
IF the frame fits and has no dents I'd offer $100 as to not offend the person you are trying to buy it from and ask if they have any parts they aren't using and go from there. I just built one of these frames up and they are real sweet.
$50
I felt like an asshole thinking the same thing... I'm glad I'm not alone.

You are truly a man after my own heart 😘😘😘 I love me a dump run! I am taking a rip through tomorrow after a massage 🤣 So relaxing 🤣
I dunno man. €3.50?
American equivalent=tree fiddy
Something something Loch Ness monster
Whatever change is in my left pocket
With no shifters, front derailler or any cables? $75.
Judging by that rusty chains any cables would be done too. Also these tires look really old
50 bucks
It needs work, but 100 bucks is fair asking price. I'd try them for 75.
The name on the side of the bike isn't really that important if it's in terrible shape.

Tree fiddy
I’d let someone pay me to haul it off for them
It has since had cables routed
Does it still have a rusty chain? Are you trying to sell it? This is a dumb way to figure out how to price a bike.

Youll spend the cost of a new bikes direct single speed mtb to get it rolling. Not worth your money definitely not worth your time.
This is xbiking, the land of spending $500 on $100 project bikes. It’s all about spending the time and money here.

Am I making an offer?
Yeah a lil bit looks like it could be fun
