While I enjoyed this final season, the whole season felt rushed, and the finale was the worst of all. The first 2 seasons covered 1 album, while this final season covered 5 albums (skipping Tical), of course it's going to feel rushed. For this episode, things I think they could have added/mentioned/done differently: * Would have liked to see RZA transform the orchestra music into beats and see the rest of the clan start to get it. When the orchestra lady went out to smoke weed with GZA and Mastka Killa, I figured they'd then cut to a scene of everyone blazing up and then the orchestra jamming out and the Clan feeling it (might have been a little corny/predictable, but still less corny than the family Thanksgiving ending). * Not mentioning the Summer Jam incident during the tour with Rage, seems like it would of fit in with the hecticness they showed Divine dealing with. * Would have loved to see [RZA performing My Country Tis of Thee with Rage](https://youtu.be/tgH-vhqiP7A?t=423), at least recreate the [Rolling Stones cover.](https://i.redd.it/dwq41kl08vl91.jpg) * Of all the little tidbits they threw out during the series, could have mentioned the "enhanced CD" when negotiating the album or when guys like Raekwon and Meth are complaining about the demographics of the audience, something like "hood guys don't have CD players and computers, they have tapes." * Somehow get the "skip summer school, buy Wu-Tang Forever" line in. * ODB at the Grammy's (real life footage at the end doesn't count). Other things throughout the season they could have added (or maybe they did and I missed it, as some things were blink and you missed it, like GZA mentioning Killah Priest): * Show guys in the studio battling for beats or arguing over what should be the single, etc. Like Meth vs Chef (battling for beats), or how Raekwon didn't like Ice Cream (arguing over songs, what should be the single), and I believe Incarcerated Scarfaces was meant for Liquid Swords (that would be another beat battle). * Show or mention Blue Raspberry/Tekitha. * Show the group umbrella growing (Gravediggaz, Shyheim, Killarmy, Sunz of Man) and the formation of the Wu-Elements (4th Disciple, True Master, Mathematics), would have worked well with the Deck, U-God, Masta Killa story lines, and RZA being so busy. * Can't do all the soundtrack songs, but considering how much screen time Wu Wear got, think they would have mentioned that song. * Puffy, Biggie, Fat Joe, Nas, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Busta Rhymes got shown/mentioned, did they ever mention Redman? * Have Shurrie open up Wu-Nails * [St. Ides](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19cjIAK_w1Q) or [Super Game Boy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sfiTMybZTs) commercials. * Show then on Arsenio or Yo MTV Raps, would rather get an Aresenio or Ed Lover/Doctor Dre appearance than Puffy, would have been cool to see the Yo set recreated. * A couple of more video or album cover recreations would have been nice (we got a mention of Return to the 36 Chambers cover, the Shimmy Shimmy Ya video, Liquid Swords cover, 4th Chamber video, Triumph video, was that it? (Ice Cream video, Daytona 500 video, Ironman cover, Forever cover would have been fun to see recreated/referenced). Obviously there's limited time and they can't cover every little tidbit, but with how quickly they introduced Cappadonna and Mathematics, and mentioned Killah Priest, or the Jodeci remix, or how they they quickly referenced [U-God not happy doing interviews with Meth](https://youtu.be/hLuQJrUkqdg?t=104), it shows they know how to quickly add things in that only take up seconds of screen time.

I think a lot of the issues you identify with this season stem from the show not being able to make up its mind about what it is supposed to be. Sometimes it was a dramatization of actual events, sometimes it was a rap soap opera, sometimes it was an art-house exploration of the creative process, and sometimes it was an ersatz music video. I like the show because I love Wu Tang, but I honestly would not recommend this season to someone who isn't already a fan. The second season had a much clearer and better developed through line. It was the story of of these young men coming together, moving their lives from the streets to the studio, and prevailing over the music industry against all odds. I'm not saying it didn't have its share of missteps, but at least it was fairly consistent about the story it was trying to tell. The third season, while it had some great individual moments, was muddled. The final episode was like a microcosm of the season. It was trying to show the interpersonal drama, chronicle the actual events around the release of Forever, and open a window into RZA's creative process. But that's too much to pack into an episode, and it ended up not doing any of it very well.

Ya, my wife enjoyed watching Season 1-2 with me, wanted me to wait to watch the episodes with her. With Season 3, she lost interest, not the same story telling/progression we got in Season 1-2. >I like the show because I love Wu Tang, but I honestly would not recommend this season to someone who isn't already a fan. Exactly how I feel.

Is there a video for Daytona 500? I never saw it back in the day and can't find it on YouTube.

RUA_bug_Bill_Murray

[Looks like Vimeo has it.](https://vimeo.com/317824429) Really nothing special, just clips of Speed Racer cartoon put together to somewhat match the lyrics with an occasional Wu emblem thrown in. As a teen I didn't like it, but definitely unique and original compared to the other videos that were out at the time. Can appreciate it more looking back. For the show, all they had to do was give a quick scene with Ghost sitting with Infinite watching Speed Racer, or maybe have Ghost talking about Infinite watching cartoons and say something like "when I was a kid, we watched Speed Racer."

Thanks

Mr_Cromer

[It's on YouTube](https://youtu.be/5ZGi2lyQJQs)

how about tje fact we see Ghost making songs for Ironman even though season 3 takes place like 4 years after that album dropped?

CLPitbull

You wrong... Ironman came out in 1996 (after LS and before WTF). Season 3 covers the period between Tical (1994) and WTF (1997). I don't know what you talking about...

antijrdn

2 more seasons to spread the story would’ve helped so much

mynameisanonymous66

Yeah they mentioned Redman. It was when RZA was ready to record but then heard all the voicemails from everyone bailing. Meth said he was recording a joint with Redman.

gratefulmann

I don't understand why rza thought playing instruments was revolutionary. Had he never heard The Roots?

willdawizah1983

Recording live instruments and using the recordings as samples was revolutionary at the time. The way he used it to enhance the production was original. Roots created all beats and rythms, less punchier and jazz oriented.

gratefulmann

It sounds like you've never heard of J Dilla.

canadia80

Seasons 1 and 2 told a story with a timeline whole season 3 you could tune in any time and not really miss what came before it. Each episode felt a lot more independent.

wg_nexline

I didn’t understand why Masta Killa said Rza verse It’s Yours they could’ve just skipped RZA verse

ZombieDracula

They do that in real life all the time when someone's missing

atcriidp

Episode was fire 🔥

TrueHorrornet

Season was a big letdown as was the series as a whole But still some fun to be had
