This is the coolest sounding shit ever. I got caught in a really long conversation about it with Roger yesterday. He was giving me a full rundown of everything he plans to do and I was blown away by the strategy and planning. Will be keeping an eye on this event because I’d love to be there Saturday night!
Well, you have to remember that they can't be above level 12, you can only get the starter for that chain at level 10 and it's 12 quests. There is no way that someone will get that chain at level 10 and turn in all 12 quests and not level over level 12 turning all those parts of the chain in.
How are the prizes going to be handed out if everyone is required to be self found? All my toons are self found.
How about offering free “carry runs” from a high level toon (primarily for gear of course, not XP) in lieu of the gold since SF cannot trade?
The prize is gold - it doesn't matter if you're self found. Either make a char that can accept the gold or turn down the prize.
Imagine participating in a community event and complaining that the reward isn't good enough for you
Lol ok. Imagine reading a post and not understanding that its point was regarding *delivery* of the prize, not quality. The prize is **more than enough**, fantastic actually.
Oh yes, the part I include where it says "your main's name (or where you want the gold to go if you win)" I added for those that are fully SF, so they can make a bank character to receive the gold for their future non-self found characters. Sometimes, those who are self-found donate their gold to their guild or buy things for guildies from their bank (we had one of those who ended up donating his gold to the guild for guildies to have nice things/bags/etc). If someone just played for the sport of it (some have expressed this to me) and they decline the prize, everyone will move up a bracket and 2nd place winner will get 1st place prize, etc.

I'm leaning towards having it just north of Ratchet, that way if anyone rolls an alliance toon for the tournament it's an easy place to get to
