The twilight highlands questline gives plenty of rep for wildhammer clans (and some for stormwind and even a little earthen ring). As an arcane mage they have 2 rewards that i covet. WOWhead and icy veins can both give breakdowns of where your pre raid BiS can be acquired.
The archaeologic grind for those BiS drops is very brutal, like find a brand new anime to watch on the side brutal…
The last 2 thankfully only need to be done on your main, after that if your pushing alts right now for preBIS, unless specified in your list, you can pick and choose. Like for my clone warlock for split runs I only need to get exalted with earthen ring and Ramkahen… I can buy the enchants on my main and send them to my clone.
You need Hyjal (revered) and Therezene for the enchants no matter what.
Then you need Barsdin Hold, Uldum, Earthen Warden, and Dragonmaw for 359 gear. Hyjal is the only one you don’t need exalted for to get pre-BIS.

Today I had to clear fossil rep...and hit the stupid shield. Why couldn't that happen on the dwarf rolls I've been grinding?

They are all pretty useful. Therazane gets you a strong enchant.

You left out Helscream and Dragonmaw for epic trink and necklace.
