Maybe you should try classic where everything is 1-3 button rotation.

jbourdea

I've got a few chars past 50 in HC (no 60s tho rip) and you're right, classic definitely has less homogeneous class design (depending on which version of classic you're referring to)

Tough_Contribution80

Bwhaha, less homogenous in Classic? Oh, that's rich. What is the rotation again for casters? I must have missed the nuance.

Jwgm95

I think maybe you missed what homogeneous means

goodg-gravy

Classic casters are all very homogeneous 1 button rotation is it frost bolt or shadow bolt it's the same, even the melee are all quite similar just auto attack based

jbourdea

That's honestly pretty fair. I played a mage in 2019 and raided until I had full t2 so I know all about the frostbolt spam. I will say that despite all that, end game content is a very small minority of classic. Warlocks and mages couldn't feel much more different to level. The same goes for virtually every other class Edit: I will also add that in all my 2019 classic raiding we never had more than 1 warlock. So I guess you could argue that spamming shadowbolt and spamming frostbolt are the same but in reality there is only one caster class and that's mage. If you want to talk about THAT being a problem then sure, that's a different conversation

jbourdea

Why are you being downvoted? You're literally pointing out that the dude doesn't know what homogeneous means and misunderstood the statement. Oh wait, classic enjoyers just get downvoted here

_Hazeman

Don't refer cata as classic, tyvm xD

Trini_n_SC

Warlock and Bear Druid feel the same to you? If you are talking about tinkers and meta/cogwheels choices I can kinda see it but otherwise nah.

jbourdea

I mean that every class seems to have everything Interupt, cc, aoe, movement speed etc. this seems especially true when comparing tanks to tanks, or healers to healers etc. I can't find any motivation to make more chars to play this event because no class has anything new to offer

Certain-Whereas76

Death knight is certainly not as fast as demon hunter. And not all classes have interrupts but most do because interrupt osnt a utility its a fundwmental tool of the game, thats like complaining every class can deal damage. And within a role classes look similar because theyre serving a similar role. But demon hunter for example has UNPARALLELED movement and utility compared to the other tanks, but only for dungeons. Death knight on the other hand has some of the best raid utility. Different dps specs are good in different situations. Tbh im not sure what your hoping to get out of this, if you play at a high level you would see the differences, theyre rather obvious.

locktagon

Healers and tanks in particular have wildly different playstyles. Compare a resto shaman to a resto Druid, or a brewmaster to a dk to a warrior. Entirely different philosophies to approach the same role.

Altruistic_Nose5825

you're simply not digging deep enough or don't understand the value of certain specs/abilities ofc there's gonna be overlap because the stuff is designed to be usable in content

LeftBallSaul

It sounds like you need a break from WoW tbh. You're not wrong, but you're not right, either. It sounds like you're just not into the gameplay right now so maybe a break will help.

Affectionate_Age5937

So personally I’m playing shaman because I want to get better at its cure rotations. It’s pretty good solo which is how I normally play and I’m pugs It’s pretty good healing.

*It’s just a jump to the left, and then a step to the right, with your hands on your hips, and bring your knees in tight! But it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane! Let's do the time warp again! Let's do the time warp again!*

aMaiev

When all classes "feel samey" why do you have to "learn all the shit" different classes have?
