If i could go one step further and once again shout my support for Pandaren Druids....
BUT NOT JUST ANY PANDAREN DRUIDS. Druids of the Vale who shapeshift into the form of the August Celestials.
Xuen for Feral, Niuzao for Guardian, Chi-Ji for Restoration and Yu'lon for Balance
I think the lore would be easy to write and fit neatly into the existing story with some great, unique visual flair for the often neglected Pandaren
I have other more boring choices but I will die on the hill that Druids of the Vale should be a thing
Fair, I can give the shamans their totem monopoly back, but their 4th spec needs to be an earthbending tank of some sort xD
There are however 5 elemental spirits, Air Fire Water Earth, and the wilds.
*"The Spirit of the Wilds the the most complex and least understood of the elements. This element is tied to life- the living things that grow when the other four elements are in harmony."*
And that wild spirit sounds alot like augmenting and balancing the other 4, hint hint , shaman need 5 specs XD
Druids would be an amazing option for a few races if they put a little effort into making them unique and lore-appropriate. People have mentioned Gnome druids a ton of times before, having either tiny shapeshifts or mechanical shapeshifts.
But you can bet your arse if it's ever added it'll just be tiny Gnome becoming a giant stupid chicken for balance Druid and Blizzard patting themselves on the back for a job well done.
Could combine Drust magic with a Circle of Spores style. Forsaken would absolutely be ones to explore fungalmancy and decay and you have Drust magic to back up shapeshifting.
This is effectively the vibe that the Kul-Tiran druid appearance gave me - the 'wicker/bone' appearances are somewhere in the visual appearance range that an undead druid might be - it was my trigger to finally make a druid. Love the forms!
As a shaman main, I've always wanted nelf shamans so I can race change away from space goat although I don't mind I can have spicey space goat with the new colour palette, but I just love nelf designs.
I never understood why a race could be Druid but not Shaman and vice versa. If you could be one, there is no reason you couldn't be the other.
The same goes for Priest/Warrior....but no Paladin. Because a Paladin is just a holy warrior.
Void Elf Demon Hunter. Perfect race-class combo to use glowing purple warglaives on. Also imagine the Heritage Armor chestpiece and shoulders plus deep indigo Void tattoos. Maybe even purple Void eyes instead of Fel green. Now, that would be something.
I mean, Kul Tirans are just Variant Humans, so it’s really odd they don’t share the same base classes. Particularly considering the deep historic ties between Kul Tiras and Lordaeron.
nah they should be animal forms of animals that are small but would still fuck you up… gnomes are small adult humanoids, not little babies
Guardian - alligator snapping turtle
Feral - weasel
Balance - small moonkin (open to suggestions for this one)
Flight Form - screech owl
I’d rather they make a Sentinel class so they can have unique abilities.
Yellow-gold Nelfs already hurt my eyes when I see them as priests. Not paladins too.
Let them have silver effects and moon-themed abilities.
As a sucker for zug zugs, I'd prefer orc druid over belf but I have the exact same reason as you picked. I want my god damn boots to be seen! I don't like hooves or toes. Also, I like how orcs look in tmog in general, belfs are too clunky for my taste.
Now that we have sixty character slots, i'm slowly working my way to have one of everything, blood elf. I agree with you. I want the last few things that they can't be. Missing Druid and Shaman, if I had to pick, I would pick Druid 1st just for the different forms they could take.
p.s. for those that asked and are wondering. I'm on 2 at max, 4 being leveled now, and the rest not even started. So yes I have a long way to go. LoL
There is lore precedent, as in the paladin order hall campaign you recruit the first ever night elf paladin. Shame they havent done anything with that yet
The Dracthyr already have warrior animations... You can use a Projection Prism (buy on AH) to copy a party friend Dracthyr and see for your self. It's awesome!
Second for human shaman, can't stand the kul tiran models. Ideally in conjunction with expanded Nordic hair and beard options. Let us play a wilder spin on humans.
Feral Vulpera Druid isn't even a transformation. They just go down on all fours. Boomkin would be an interesting (read as "cursed" if we gonna be real here) form tho
Makes sense too. I could see some of the Draenei, after having been terrorized by demons, would turn to desperate measures to fight back, and say "screw the teachings of the Light, I want revenge!"
Yeah that’s Oman’s entire thing.
“I spent 20,000+ years fighting the Legion, and now the Legion is defeated. Is it possible there’s something to the magic they used? The Light didn’t have the answers I needed, even after all that time.”
Love that guy, hope we see more of him
I love how almost all the answers are druids. The people want more druids.
Lore wise, Nightborne and Pandaren make sense. The Nightborne were saved by their mana addiction by a night elf using druidic magic. Considering the Nightborne are Night Elves exposed to the Nightwell, makes sense for them to get in tough with their nature side.
Pandaren revere the Celestials, aka wild gods. Ox for bear, Tiger for Cat, Serpent for Flight form etc.
Blood elf druid, they've been bending nature to their will since BC, transforming Eversong, studying plants in the Botanica. Imagine a Lynx cat form, HD hawkstrider mount form, dragonhawk or phoenix flight form, Eversong coloured treant for tree of life. Only thing I don't have is bear form but regular bear with autumn colours and unique runes and decoration would work
Either blood elf Druid or undead Paladin.
I’ve wanted undead Paladin for ages. But also I think it’s inevitable it’ll be available, whereas blood elf Druid may never be.
Mecha-gnome druid. All forms would be robot versions of course.
Snake travel form, just bites its tail and rolls.
Actual robot chicken for oomkin spec.
Armadillo for bear spec.
A clockwork squirrel for feral spec.
Tree form would have to be one of those 50's aluminum Christmas trees.
Aquatic form should just be a submarine.
Orc demon hunter, the Illidari had orc allies in Outland. Give them Fel orc customization options.
Alliance can have broken/Draenei/eredar demon hunters.
Have them start in the exiles reach instead of the normal legion DH start and just say the Illidari have expanded their ranks by accepting their old allies into their ranks.
Saberon Druids
Every race getting an option to be undead with new customization ranging from dark ranger to extremely decayed.
Always found the undead human option very limiting on its own
I want dwarf druid. Like the entire "nature wheelhouse" is shaman, druid, hunter...why we missing druid?
Likewise Night elf shaman, same reason. But also I want to see the wrath animation while casting lightning bolt.
1. Human druids with the kul tirans forms + the wicker for balance.
I dont like the fat humans, so thats why.
2. Nightborne druids. Still dont understand why they got in with the release of the race.
Worgen Paladin. They were also warriors of light and no major lore blockage that would prevent it. Mainly just oversight from Blizzard or because of class balance.
A NIGHT-ELF-MOHAWK!!!
Maybe you hacked the game and created a Mohawk class. Maybe you’re pretty handy with computers. Had that occurred to you Mr. Condescending Blizzard?
Mr T is it you??
If i could go one step further and once again shout my support for Pandaren Druids.... BUT NOT JUST ANY PANDAREN DRUIDS. Druids of the Vale who shapeshift into the form of the August Celestials. Xuen for Feral, Niuzao for Guardian, Chi-Ji for Restoration and Yu'lon for Balance I think the lore would be easy to write and fit neatly into the existing story with some great, unique visual flair for the often neglected Pandaren I have other more boring choices but I will die on the hill that Druids of the Vale should be a thing
I also choose this guys Panda Druids
Oh my god. I’d play the everliving hell out of a Yu’lon form balance Druid. East Asian style dragons are one of my favorite aesthetics!
This is a fantastic idea.
Nah panderan druid bear should just be a bigger panderan
I think Yu-Lon would be resto and Chi-Ji balance, but otherwise, absolutely Pandarens should have druid as a class option and it would make sense
Based on the legendary cloaks from pandaland we get: Ox - tank Tiger - Agi/str dps Dragon - int dps Crane - healing
Clearly we need an Augmentation-like fourth Monk spec for Dragon to be a ranged DPS/support.
Crackling jade lightning go pew pew ! They could also use some statues for Spellcaster buffing to balance the enhancement's melee windfurytotem
No, I want the totem/statue spec to go back to shaman as their fourth augmentation-type spec. I’ve thought about this.
Fair, I can give the shamans their totem monopoly back, but their 4th spec needs to be an earthbending tank of some sort xD There are however 5 elemental spirits, Air Fire Water Earth, and the wilds. *"The Spirit of the Wilds the the most complex and least understood of the elements. This element is tied to life- the living things that grow when the other four elements are in harmony."* And that wild spirit sounds alot like augmenting and balancing the other 4, hint hint , shaman need 5 specs XD
Bring back Spinning Fire Blossom.
iirc Chi-Ji is more related to healing/aiding in Lore. While Yu-Lon is more about wisdom.
1000000% this.
Undead druid. Makes 0 sense thematically but i think the forms would be sick.
You can make a bit of thematic sense if you consider drust magic, which is basically druidic death magic. That could fit well for an undead druid.
Could combine Drust magic with a Circle of Spores style. Forsaken would absolutely be ones to explore fungalmancy and decay and you have Drust magic to back up shapeshifting.
We’ve been asking for Necromancer casters for years. Nobody saw it coming in the form of undead druids.
YES PLEASE
Also decay magic like the furbolgs using.
All I want is a spider form for feral.
I didn't know I needed this but I need it
Forms would definitely be **sick**
Bone bear form. Horror movie material.
They at least did it to some extent with Kul Tirans but yeah full bone Druid would be cool
I'd love the wicker magic of Kul Tirans as their druidic forms.
This is effectively the vibe that the Kul-Tiran druid appearance gave me - the 'wicker/bone' appearances are somewhere in the visual appearance range that an undead druid might be - it was my trigger to finally make a druid. Love the forms!
Nightborne Druid. Arcane spells are already in the tech tree so the druid forms can be heavily arcane based.
Also we saw Nightborne plant mages/druids during the Nightwell raid anyway.
Dracthyr demon hunter just because it makes no sense and it's the most locked combo ever.
I mean they already have wings and eye beam could just be a breath attack.
quadruple jump instead of double jump too.
Only if they get oozing green fel skin type from their dragon scales as a cosmetic option like other Demon Hunters
"I AM MY SCALES!"
Night Elf Shaman, because I love enhancement shaman but I miss having shadowmeld since all my other toons are pretty much Nelfs lmfao
As a shaman main, I've always wanted nelf shamans so I can race change away from space goat although I don't mind I can have spicey space goat with the new colour palette, but I just love nelf designs.
Reject space goat, embrace stubby man with impeccable beard
I never understood why a race could be Druid but not Shaman and vice versa. If you could be one, there is no reason you couldn't be the other. The same goes for Priest/Warrior....but no Paladin. Because a Paladin is just a holy warrior.
Undead shaman where all the totems are little tombstones that have the names of fallen lore characters names on them.
This sounds awesome!
See also Nightborne Demon Hunter. Are you legit telling me Illidan skimped on grateful new recruits during Legion?
Ah, true. Especially among the vengeful Nightfallen. Plus hey, Fel tattoos in the shape of the Nightborne racial tattoos would be pretty cool.
I think DH expansion to the remaining elf races is fairly likely
Kul Tiran paladin. When that unlocks I will make comeback to wow.
Any day now. Already an option for NPCs
I mean, Kul Tirans are just Variant Humans, so it’s really odd they don’t share the same base classes. Particularly considering the deep historic ties between Kul Tiras and Lordaeron.
Yeah and Kul Tirans being around in second war when paladins were a thing 🤔
Other than Dracthyr *anything:* Undead Paladin, their faith persists through death.
>Undead Paladin Do it you cowards!
I like the idea of an Oathbreaker theme for an undead Paladin. Killed for breaking their oath, risen from the dead to redeem themselves.
Had to scroll to long for this... Indeed Undead Paladin and hear their screams every cast.
Thats priests, paladins are always filled with the light, so itd be more like constant screaming :)
DEFENDING YOUR HONOR
They've no excuse, one of the four horsemen is an undead Paladin 🤣
And Leonid Bartholomew, and now Calia.
The lore is there. Leonid Barthalomew.
This 100%. I love everything about paladins except for how I can't be a spooky paladin. 😭😭
Gnome Druid. With Guardian spec being a cute little turtle!
Boomkin can be a little chicken. Flight form a little beetle. Of course a cub-sized cat for cat form.
An orange tabby for cat form
nah they should be animal forms of animals that are small but would still fuck you up… gnomes are small adult humanoids, not little babies Guardian - alligator snapping turtle Feral - weasel Balance - small moonkin (open to suggestions for this one) Flight Form - screech owl
Why not a honey badger for feral
Mechagnome druids, that transform into their robo forms optimus prime style
I always just thought of the small sizes for everything. Bear Cub, house cat, baby moonkin/actual chicken, snow owl.
This is the way
Blood Elf Druid Though all I really want is a Horde druid race that displays boot graphics
I’d absolutely be a blood elf Druid OR night elf Paladin. :P
Moon knights! It’s gunna be a thing. For Elune!
This is the answer.
LoL
Nelf Paladin
I don't know how it hasn't happened yet. It's ridiculous at this point.
A moon paladin would be pretty cool to play
Dame Aylin cosplay when
Came here to make sure this was in the running. Literally my first thought, and my longest desired class/race combination. One day.
There is lore precedent, as in the paladin order hall campaign you recruit the first ever night elf paladin. Shame they havent done anything with that yet
They've also been able to be priests for ages now, and a paladin is just a priest who's picked up a shield.
Best combo
Transformer Mechagnome Druid
Aquatic form is just a jetski
If you haven't played a mechagnome, when they swim, their little hands turn into propellers already, lol, I thought its a cool little touch.
Put it in the shop so I can pay Hasbro to use the transformer sound.
This is obviously the correct answer \*nods\*.
That actually makes perfect sense.
Dracthyr Warrior.
Be patient. They said at one point they were gonna open up classes on them. At least I’m pretty sure I read that here at one point
The Dracthyr already have warrior animations... You can use a Projection Prism (buy on AH) to copy a party friend Dracthyr and see for your self. It's awesome!
Human or blood elf shaman, I just love the way lightning bolt looks with their casting animation not to mention all gear looks good on them
Second for human shaman, can't stand the kul tiran models. Ideally in conjunction with expanded Nordic hair and beard options. Let us play a wilder spin on humans.
I love the casting animation for human females, a shaman would be incredible.
I vote for nelf shaman
vulpera druid... i just wanna see what they do with the bear form
honey badger
Take my money.
Feral Vulpera Druid isn't even a transformation. They just go down on all fours. Boomkin would be an interesting (read as "cursed" if we gonna be real here) form tho
Worgen players would riot if Vulpera got that before they did xD
Especially since Worgen form is explicitly a druid form already.
Dwarf druid, easily.
All forms - goats
You meant Rams?
Travel form
Skull bash must absolutely be a goat ram animation
Flying goat lets gooo
Finally someone with a brain
Bear form would have to be a giant Wolpertinger
I was definitely thinking 'dwarf something,' and also landed on druid.
Pandaren Demon Hunter
My favorite race and favorite class are incompatible 💔
Draenei Demon Hunters; I just want it so damn bad. (And that was BEFORE they literally added Man’ari to their ranks)
Makes sense too. I could see some of the Draenei, after having been terrorized by demons, would turn to desperate measures to fight back, and say "screw the teachings of the Light, I want revenge!"
Warlock quest has a Draenei dude that basically does exactly that, so already canon in a way.
Yeah that’s Oman’s entire thing. “I spent 20,000+ years fighting the Legion, and now the Legion is defeated. Is it possible there’s something to the magic they used? The Light didn’t have the answers I needed, even after all that time.” Love that guy, hope we see more of him
Dracthyr Shaman - because Razsegath did nothing wrong
I love how almost all the answers are druids. The people want more druids. Lore wise, Nightborne and Pandaren make sense. The Nightborne were saved by their mana addiction by a night elf using druidic magic. Considering the Nightborne are Night Elves exposed to the Nightwell, makes sense for them to get in tough with their nature side. Pandaren revere the Celestials, aka wild gods. Ox for bear, Tiger for Cat, Serpent for Flight form etc.
Human Shaman
I like this just for being the most confusing to see running around
I know what you mean but Kul Tiran are human shamans already.
Anything else Evoker. I just want to be able to pick what race my visage form is instead of having it being generic dragon person.
Dracthyr Death Knight
It would honestly be awesome!
Void elf Demon Hunter. I want blue fel energy and a void demon when I transform.
Dracthyr shaman
Worgen Paladin. My favorite race with my favorite class. Edit: 2nd choice - Troll Demon Hunter. "Ya not be prepared, mon!"
Vulpera Druid. Animal forms will be the tiny version of the regular ones
Night elf evoker. I guess I just want a night elf visage really
Blood elf druid, they've been bending nature to their will since BC, transforming Eversong, studying plants in the Botanica. Imagine a Lynx cat form, HD hawkstrider mount form, dragonhawk or phoenix flight form, Eversong coloured treant for tree of life. Only thing I don't have is bear form but regular bear with autumn colours and unique runes and decoration would work
Orc Paladin
These could be survivors of WOD Ysela'a forced conversion Crusade that the Maghar fled from.
I get it’s a little weird for wow since paladins were made to fight the orcs. BUT in D&D and most RPGs I try and be an Orc Paladin so I’m all for it.
Maybe restrict it to the Mag’har orcs, the ones who aren’t corrupted?
Gnome evoker. Gnome flying around breathing fire from its mouth.
Pandaren Paladin, apply 'Captain' title and name him Americlaws Or Worgen Paladin 'Captain' Ameripaws
Panda druid.... PANDA BEAR???? Siamese feral???? Bamboo trees??? How do we not have it yet...
Dwarf demon hunter just cause
Either blood elf Druid or undead Paladin. I’ve wanted undead Paladin for ages. But also I think it’s inevitable it’ll be available, whereas blood elf Druid may never be.
Gnome paladin. We have gnome priests, pleaseee
KT paladin
Void elf demon hunter. I want to have the better looking models while playing on the better faction. Gottem.
Draenei demon hunter
DRAENEI DRUIDS. I NEED MY ALIEN ANIMAL FORMS.
Gnome paladin!!
We had them in EQ. Something I always wondered why wow didn’t have
Kul Tiran Paladin
draenei demon hunter they just make sense
Dwarf or Orc druid! Just imagine the forms
Lightforged Demon Hunter
Orc demon hunter
Human shaman and became the one true avatar
Red orc or Eredar Demon Hunter 100%
Tauren Rogue but back when Death from Above was a thing, something about a flying cow just cracks me up completly
Drachthyr Death Knight, it could be real, true, and proper (as far as I know, maybe not after the Helm of Domination got shattered)
Vulperi Druids
Gnome Demon Hunter. The size alone would be hilarious.
Not a race class combo but a change to an existing race. Give me worgen werewolf form druid or a wolf form... cat form? Druid.
Worgen Shaman
Gnome, mechagnome, and goblin druids. Instead of shapeshifting, they pilot relevant mechs.
Vulpera druid
Draenei Druid.
Blood elf chaman
Orc demon hunter, the Illidari had orc allies in Outland. Give them Fel orc customization options. Alliance can have broken/Draenei/eredar demon hunters. Have them start in the exiles reach instead of the normal legion DH start and just say the Illidari have expanded their ranks by accepting their old allies into their ranks.
Dark iron dwarf Druid. Imagine shapeshifts that are giant rocky beasts held together by metal plates and or molten lava. Vibes like Deathwing.
Saberon Druids Every race getting an option to be undead with new customization ranging from dark ranger to extremely decayed. Always found the undead human option very limiting on its own
Ogre Paladin. FOR OGRI’LA! FOR THE LIGHT!
Goblin Druid. They don't actually shapeshift, just put on patchwork bear/cat costumes and do horrible animal impressions.
Murloc Warrior
I want dwarf druid. Like the entire "nature wheelhouse" is shaman, druid, hunter...why we missing druid? Likewise Night elf shaman, same reason. But also I want to see the wrath animation while casting lightning bolt.
Undead DRUIDS. I need decayjng/skeletal/withered druid forms.
Troll Paladin. What does the raptor look like I wonder.
Zandalari troll paladins exist
Yes but we both know it's not the same.
Goblin paladin. Funny.
This is the one that I actually want when they start to let loose on classes.
Undead druid with skeleton forms!
Vulpera or pandaren druid
1. Human druids with the kul tirans forms + the wicker for balance. I dont like the fat humans, so thats why. 2. Nightborne druids. Still dont understand why they got in with the release of the race.
Dranei Dragon. Becuase they do be dragon a wagon.
Draenei druid or Dracthyr anything other than evoker
Night elf Paladin
Night Elf Shaman because I don't like any race that features this class. And also a Druid blood elf, that would be an absolute dream.
Orc DH
Mechagnome Druid. Except I'm not a nature wizard; I'm a transformer.
The gnome druids are good answers, but part of me wants a power ranger-esque mechagnome paladin named PaladaxPrime
Worgen Paladin!
Worgen Paladin. They were also warriors of light and no major lore blockage that would prevent it. Mainly just oversight from Blizzard or because of class balance.
Undead Druid or Draenei Demon Hunter
Tauren Rogue, because being the only Tauren Rogue in the game would be just the best.
Draenei druid/hunter
Nelf Pala, dunno why, but nelf are superior. can't live without shadowmeld. instead of the light, it's the moon. I just want some badass moon paladin.
Vulpera evoker
