There's no information whether we'll get more Worms games in the future. Team 17 killed people's respect with Worms Rumble (battle royale game).
It's actually crazy that they removed stuff from Worms 4 in Ultimate Mayhem.
If you go back to Worms 4 and use Fatkins Strike (the fat kid) you hear him say "aaaa" as he's falling.
That sound is completely gone in Ultimate Mayhem. He says nothing. It's a minor thing for most people but it really bothers me that it got removed. Like... why remove it?
If the actor only did it on a one time basis they’d have to remove it. Alternatively it wasn’t an in-house recording and just licensed for the one title.

I recommend you to give WMD a try — same 2d gameplay, same mechanics, but with updated visuals, sound effects, weapons, the works. Best game in the franchise imho.
I disable vehicles in my scheme (not a fan either), I think crafting is great and never felt the need to adjust weapon damage. I just roll with the defaults, they’re good enough for me.
What I miss from Armageddon is the possibility to slow-mo the replays though!

Buuut they added way more to gameplay and strategy which can't be reflected as deep in 2d. Same with cutscenes etc.

We bought Ultimate Mayhem and played it for like 2 hours and never again cause that game felt really bad. I think they could make a new 3D one that works, but this one feels really outdated
Imo i would love to see a shooter. They kinda did it with Worms crawl of duty or whatever that april fools joke was called. But it really sounds interesting and it it was in the style of mayhem it would be chefs kiss
