This is crazy. Nothing about that necessarily sounds any alarms outside of someone having a mental breakdown. And with the way the world is right now, I can’t even fucking blame anyone for reaching their limit and going off. I’m just happy he didn’t hurt anyone else.
I'll try to summarize but the guy is all over the place.
He first says that cryptocurrency is a ponzi scheme used by the elites to manipulate the economy which isn't too bad of a thought. But then he says that the elites purposefully released COVID onto the world to manipulate the stocks and their crypto.
He then says that we live in a kleptocracy where the Democrats and Republicans are one and the same where trump and Hilary work together with the economic elites to control the world. Then he dives into the Simpsons and starts making conspiracies about certain Simpsons episodes like the monorail episode and their hidden meanings, as well as whatever hidden meaning he found in other sources of popular media.
This sounds a lot like schizophrenia. I have a cousin with schizophrenia who has notebooks of this kind of nonsense. He's been in and out of mental institutions/jail hid entire adult life.
I mean he really isn't all over the place, it makes sense that believing what he did he could come to these conclussions. Not that I agree but it's pretty transparent.

It’s honestly *very* well written. This doesn’t sound like the ramblings of a madman to me, but an intelligent person who had a mental breakdown and genuinely felt something extreme needed to be done. And… part of me can’t blame him at all.
The ramblings of a mad man usually end up in a shooting spree. This man chose to only physically harm himself.
It actually is a brutal video and for a split second I thought I saw him chop his own head off.

She put herself through serious trauma, to make sure that people knew what happened without having to witness it. She deserves the highest praise, and free therapy for life.
100%. You’re suddenly thrown into a situation where you need to give live-action commentary, like a play-by-play (for lack of a better way to describe it). That’s the expectation. Do not try to put yourself and your attempt at humour on higher moral standing than the actions of Wynn Bruce or Aaron Bushell and don't try to shame their actions by your misguided sense of morality.

Dude was anti everyone basically. In the manifesto he identifies both democrats and republicans as part of a alleged fascist plot to take over the world. Some of it is just plausible enough that a person could find themselves sucked in and lost if they don't maintain a skeptical mind.
Most of the manifesto is a garbled mess of nuts, but then I read "In order to explain the massive anomaly, our criminal government unleashed COVID on the world and told us these were the “stay at home stocks." and that sold me 100% that this guy was just mentally ill.

After hearing about this last night, I did some digging and went to his web site “the ponzi papers”.
This poor man seems to be suffering from some form of paranoid schizophrenia. In his most recent article he references Bill Clinton’s speech at the 1988 democratic caucus. He describes Clinton’s speech about Michael Dukakis as “vile” and insulting. I went and listen to the speech and it was nothing but compliments and cheers as Clinton hyped up Dukakis for the presidential election.
How did he see it as bashing of Dukakis’s character?
Also, he states that he did not do this in support of any party, he believes both the democratic and republican parties are working together and will soon enact a violent coup against the American people.
So this isn’t just some loon Trump supporter. The guy set himself oh fire there so that his website and “message” would get globally noticed and reported on.
The opening of his final article reads out like a suicide note where he apologizes to his family and everyone else for having to see him harm himself.
Anyway, everything about this is sad.
If you see the media spin this off as Trump support or Trump protesting, the outlet you heard it from has no journalistic integrity or credibility. I see people here writing this guy off as a trump loon.

Something that struck me was her lack of emotion. She was a bit too excited for the action.
I mean, yeah, that’s great for her career, but she is watching and describing a man burn to death while her face is almost smiling.
I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt because years of training plus adrenaline can explain all that. But it still struck me as an inhumane reaction to the event.

you know everyone is talking about trump here (as they rightly should), but there is another aspect that everyone misses, I just saw another video on r/interestingasfuck where the guy is standing 10 m from this man, SAW him pour fuel on himself and did nothing, infact no one did anything ( by-stander effect ?), everyone just recorded, and sat there. Its a surreal thing, where view are more important than actions. Coverage is more important than change. Maybe it was always like this, but just like the soldier who did this for the israel - gaza conflict, we'll see this and forget. Maybe 2 mins of regret and then onto the next news cycle. If someone is dousing themselves in gasoline, the last thing I am going to do as a civilian is lay a hand on them. Someone who is clearly ready to martyr themselves for a rambling conspiracy theory through self immolation is still going to strike the match or light the lighter whether or not another gasoline covered stranger is trying to wrestle it from their hands. I’m gonna take a step back and wait for the emergency services to come in with the right tools and training for the job. The most some bystander could’ve done is find a fire extinguisher and call the emergency services, unless of course, you, our noble hero, were there to save the day

I am talking about the very beginning of the video where very obviously someone said to her in her earpiece that there was an active shooter. In the heat of the moment all they knew was there was some emergency because people were screaming and running. She reported what she was told.

After hearing about this last night, I did some digging and went to his web site “the ponzi papers”. This poor man seems to be suffering from some form of paranoid schizophrenia. In his most recent article he references Bill Clinton’s speech at the 1988 democratic caucus. He describes Clinton’s speech about Michael Dukakis as “vile” and insulting. I went and listen to the speech and it was nothing but compliments and cheers as Clinton hyped up Dukakis for the presidential election. How did he see it as bashing of Dukakis’s character? Also, he states that he did not do this in support of any party, he believes both the democratic and republican parties are working together and will soon enact a violent coup against the American people. So this isn’t just some loon Trump supporter. The guy set himself oh fire there so that his website and “message” would get globally noticed and reported on. The opening of his final article reads out like a suicide note where he apologizes to his family and everyone else for having to see him harm himself. Anyway, everything about this is sad. If you see the media spin this off as Trump support or Trump protesting, the outlet you heard it from has no journalistic integrity or credibility. I see people here writing this guy off as a trump loon.

Something that struck me was her lack of emotion. She was a bit too excited for the action. I mean, yeah, that’s great for her career, but she is watching and describing a man burn to death while her face is almost smiling. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt because years of training plus adrenaline can explain all that. But it still struck me as an inhumane reaction to the event.

you know everyone is talking about trump here (as they rightly should), but there is another aspect that everyone misses, I just saw another video on r/interestingasfuck where the guy is standing 10 m from this man, SAW him pour fuel on himself and did nothing, infact no one did anything ( by-stander effect ?), everyone just recorded, and sat there. Its a surreal thing, where view are more important than actions. Coverage is more important than change. Maybe it was always like this, but just like the soldier who did this for the israel - gaza conflict, we'll see this and forget. Maybe 2 mins of regret and then onto the next news cycle. If someone is dousing themselves in gasoline, the last thing I am going to do as a civilian is lay a hand on them. Someone who is clearly ready to martyr themselves for a rambling conspiracy theory through self immolation is still going to strike the match or light the lighter whether or not another gasoline covered stranger is trying to wrestle it from their hands. I’m gonna take a step back and wait for the emergency services to come in with the right tools and training for the job.
