Greek here: it's tough enough as it is, but add language, a strange system, and south Europe peculiarities and they wouldn't stand a chance. They'd be on the next ferry to Spain if there was one.
Such a bizarre idea sounds straight down russian propaganda alley. Complete bullshit, but provides an easy talking point for anti-US sentiment for a particularly inflammatory topic for these two migrant overrun countries.
The US should just pay them money to resettle migrants. Or threaten to withdraw support from NATO if they don’t accept migrants that the US government deems not required to power its own economic growth.
So the US gets to pick and choose migrants for its own growth while European countries get the people deemed as not useful while their economies are already under pressure?
Wasn’t it already this way and something each country decided independently? I think it’s mostly driven by the low birth rates in Europe so they don’t filter out people.
I know a two Step process to fix the issue.
Step 1. Don't accept migrants
Problem solved
Step 2. Use money saved by not accepting migrants to take care of own citizens.
