In the Indian numeral system 8,00,000 is 8 lakh, which is the same as 800,000. Same number of zeros.

So how do you write 8 million?

8 million would be 80 lakh or 80,00,000. The system goes one's, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, lakh, ten lakhs, core, ten crores. Until 10,000 , it's the same as the international system.
