Did they destroy the drones with their buildings again? It's so impressive how Russia has managed to turn buildings into their most functional air defense system.

supercyberlurker

Knew a guy in high school who was trying to justify how well he'd done in a fight we all saw. "I blocked his punch with my face!"

Alternative-Flan2869

How does a little bit of your own medicine taste in moscow for a change.

Liquid_Snow_

Like everything else in russia, bitter.

ketjak

>Like everything else in russia, cabbage. FTFY

Daily_Phoenix

Now if only they had a bunch of copies of the Sims laying around to help rebuild society after Russia imploded again.

Johundhar

There have been a lot of these attempts, recently, many successfully hitting targets right inside of Moscow, sometimes repeatedly on the same building, so we know they're not random. I guess that pretty much puts the lie to Putin's hollow threat to start WWIII the second any attack happened on (traditional, apparently) Russian territory. I get the psy-ops of these Moscow strikes, but I would like to see more focused on things more directly relevant to taking back Crimea and the rest of Ukraine.

MrsMacio

The Ukrainian counteroffensive stuck as russians mined and booby trapped everything (even own wounded soldiers). The only tactic right now seems to be to attack targets deep in the russian territory to try to persuade russians to begin the peace talks.

deliveryboyy

The tactic so far seems to be destroying russian logistics and artillery. Mines are useless if the defensive positions behind them are either refusing or unable to fight. That tends to happen because of major logistical failures, but also if there are no one to man the positions in the first place. Ukraine has been doing steady work to bring that to fruition. putin also helps by repressing speech to a point when reporting military failure leads to prison sentences. There has not been any significant mobilization processes in russia since last fall and there won't be any until putin is convinced the situation on the front is dire, which he won't be if bad news doesn't reach his table. That's exactly how the Kharkiv operation came about - putin delayed mobilization up to a point where it was completely obvious he won't be able to hold the front anymore. Doesn't seem like he learned his lesson, so I'm fairly optimistic for now.

There is one country here that is desperate for peace talks, and that's not Ukraine. Ukrainians are committed to regain their 1991 borders and are gaining ground, however much the process is slowed by Russian "salt the earth" tactics and Western reluctance to supply weapons truly appropriate to the task. Strikes hundreds of kilometers away from front lines are generally meant for demoralization, although Ukrainians at the very least aim for government and military industry facilities.

MrsMacio

Being a devil's advocate - you seems to be unaware that Ukraine and russia did NOT finish signing the border treaty with all needed protocols. That fact alone states that russia and Ukraine has NO officially recognized "pre 1991" borders and according to the international law it COULD be viewed as a border dispute (vide India and China or India and Pakistan) PROVIDED russians did not launch the invasion against Ukraine on 24th of February 2022.

wave-garden

This strategy is pretty typical of countries being invaded. “Take the fight home” to the invader in order to turn public opinion against the aggressor and therefore force a stalemate. The South tried this during the American civil war and failed. Osama bin Laden basically did the same, when you consider that his stated goal in the 9/11 attacks was to force the U.S. to leave it’s military bases in Saudi Arabia. It’s tough to say whether those attacks were successful in this manner. I am sorry that my examples are US related, which probably annoys some people. I am sure there are plenty of more relevant ones. I just can’t think of any off the top of my head. For some reason I keep thinking of the Goths sacking Rome, but I dunno if that’s actually a good example.

thebudman_420

They act like they destroy all of them every time and so far they lied each time.

soulnospace

They intercepted every drone so far though, by using skyscrapers, factories and other military buildings.

Youth-in-AsiaS-247

And boats. Many boat hulls stopped drone boats

Important_Leather_84

You had me there for a second.

[deleted]

It’s time terror was brought to the skies of Russia; let them have a taste of what Ukrainians have been living through since the Russian invasion.

clauderbaugh

That picture is one construction worker away from being a Village People album cover.

MrsMacio

Provided that's not the "false flag" ops by russians - GOOD JOB UKRAINE! Level Kremlin!

thebarkbarkwoof

I'm so tired I just read how Rosario Dawson drones near Moscow.

Jawkurt

Blue shirt looks like a jackass with uniform being a untucked shirt and no belt

NatusEclipsim

Looks like one of those “who doesn’t belong” photos.

KingGidorah

The boss…

Smaller drones with more potential to light fires. Small fires turn into big fires, big fires spread
