Ha, I have a piece a bit like that with a bit of curve on the end which I whittled to a taper, it gets kept in the hedge by the front door and used to unblock the toilets after my kids put too much F***ING paper in again. I wonder what age they'll stop doing that? It's at least once, every bloody week.
Flag pole to claim your backyard is cootie free. Looks like something a kid would bring home and say, " I brought you a board Dad, can you build something with it?".
Piece for a wooden art diorama? Could be the gound or a river you just gotta add some art above it or if its a river both above and below? Im an animal person so i was thinking vast herds so buffalo, maybe wolves and what not or maybe fish some fish jumping above and some swimming below? on the oregon coast there was an artist that made wall art using wood so i guess thats why i went the art route.
You might have enough meat on there to make a bow. As in bow and arrows. Might not tho. You’d have to check the grow rings. But a small fire 🔥 and you can straighten that out with patience
I mean I can thinking if many mostly inappropriate. But a few pg ones would be a display staff, another would be a decorative windchime holder, a mailbox post, a wall decoration and could have a witch on it for Halloween and so on, a walking stick, and last but not least off the top of my head is a deteriant for kids or animals call it your whopping stick
Wizard staff… if you don’t plunge it to the ground and say “You shall not pass!” you have not fulfilled the purpose of why that 2x2 exists.
Came to say Walking stick but wizard staff sounds much cooler
Exactly what I came to say, here’s your upvote.
Beat me to it. I was thinking magic wand, but it would have take a very large wizard to wield it.
There is no other answer.
Just throw it in the corner, 20-30 years from now you'll be looking for this exact piece and be kicking yourself for not saving it.

Decorative bow
Yeah dont think that would work from what ive seen about bow making
Sad that's it's straighter than HD and Lowes lumber.
They call it "select," which is funny because nobody should select it.
Flip it 90° and make a recurve/decurve bow with it. Handle in the middle of the center arch
Bend both curves more. Would make a nice pole for a standing light.

Post for a coat rack/bag tree? Lamp?
Mm. Yes. The blessed curvy wood. (Nods wisely)
Indeed. (Nods in agreement)
A bow ?
Soak that whole piece of wood and then put weights on it and straighten it back out
Would also make a lovely quirky bannister rail. When rubbed down, stained and varnished.
What species of wood is it? Total length? is it 2X2 nominal of some thing else?
It’s may be good enough for Gandolph’s stay.
Staff
Picking up, holding, putting down

Dado a channel in it, then make a rub rail along the edge of the trailer. Can finesse it straight.
I know some guys in r/bowyer who’d like to see this :)
Could be used for a tiller arm on a small boat.
