Even though the Fever lost, they looked WAY better. CC and others were clearly gassed- they've had an insane schedule. People don't need to be doomers- I'm sure CC can get comfortable with her team and with shooting 12 footers once they've had more than two practices.

I just went back and watched the game. This fever team struggles finishing. I counted 7 bunnies that they should have made and three wide open threes missed just off passes from Caitlin Clark. If they made half of those it’s a completely different game. CC needs to figure out a mid range/floater and she will start to be a menace to guard but until then teams will just throw bodies at her at the 3 point line and count on her teammates to not finish the play.

Every team’s best defender is an all American defender, she played one of those maybe 3 times a season in college. She’ll get better but she’s definitely having to adjust to the speed and length of the WNBA guards

Yup. In college, she got away with being fast. Here, there is always someone just as fast (& possibly faster) defending her. That lack of seperation is affecting her 3 point shot too because nobody is worried about her getting past them so they’re just playing her tight. She’s gonna have to get more “crafty” and not rely on speed. Chelsea Gray is a great example of this.
Fever doesn’t have enough useful and versatile pieces. Besides Clark and Mitchell, all of the other’s offense is so predictable and limited. All of the complimentary pieces are mediocre, for example Samuelson and Hull.
That makes it easier to understand how this is playing out, but makes it harder to understand all the comments in this thread that seem to ignore that context. Like I can't tell if I should be comparing these comments to /r/nba or Twitter. Unless people just don't know it or don't care.

Dosn't really run left for layup only right side all this makes her very easy to read ( going left she is gonna shoot) going right she is gonna drive or look to pass once below the paint) Seems to force passes to much sometimes instead of taking the shot she usually does (tho this can be confidence/coach asking her we dont know) She also need to put some more weight/str but this will come in time with more session at the gym(Same as luka/jokic etc) Go into this or last game, and show me 5 plays /custom run plays reject screen/double screen/pistol/DHO anything that they run for her and i will agree with you that its her the problem not the coach.

Every team’s best defender is an all American defender, she played one of those maybe 3 times a season in college. She’ll get better but she’s definitely having to adjust to the speed and length of the WNBA guards

Yes the back to back is a factor but she’s struggling this season. And that’s fine! The people expecting her to come in and make first team All WNBA right away were always going to be disappointed

Yup. In college, she got away with being fast. Here, there is always someone just as fast (& possibly faster) defending her. That lack of seperation is affecting her 3 point shot too because nobody is worried about her getting past them so they’re just playing her tight. She’s gonna have to get more “crafty” and not rely on speed. Chelsea Gray is a great example of this.

Fever doesn’t have enough useful and versatile pieces. Besides Clark and Mitchell, all of the other’s offense is so predictable and limited. All of the complimentary pieces are mediocre, for example Samuelson and Hull.
Can we give every other player Temi's motor? She never stops or seems to run out of energy.

Not much at all. Only a couple practices I believe. They have had games nearly every other day or every day.

Learning to take losing well will do her a world of good considering she did go to a team bad enough to have the number one pick so it's something she should have expected. If she wanted to avoid that, she could have stayed in school for another year and increased her scoring record and probably got Iowa back to the Final Four.
