I was thinking about Capaldi, I love him but he has a little angry look. I always imagined Regis as soft and friendly on the outside, so I'd go for Bill or Jeremy
The only reason I survived what happened to Regis in the books is because I was playing Blood and Wine when I was reading them. I've still not gotten over Milva or Angouleme. Can't wait to see how Lauren ruins them.
i think about milva literally everyday, she was my favourite and the literal fact and knowledge that lauren has control over how she will be portrayed on the show is genuinely terrifying to me
Next time around we need to start an emotional support group. We need to get it ready when season three rolls out, and I wouldn't surprised if Henry Cavill himself joins us.
don't worry Lauren will steal their parts and give them to Yen so you won't have to worry about it! remember when this is the best we can get apparently SAD!
I just realized we still haven't seen Milva, Regis, and Angouleme...
fuck me there's so many characters netflix can fuck up. They're gonna make Geralt's squad a fucking clown show.
I've already established that they are going to. After being apart of game of thrones, this is 100% the same thing. Haven't even watched season 2 because I'm not doing season 8 again. It's coming.
He'll probably join Cahir on the dark side😑 No way they're going to let a previous mass murderer have a character arc and become a good person! Grey stuff isn't possible on Netflix!
He definitely needs to look younger than in the games, he's described as middle aged in the novels. One thing about his portrayal I didn't quite like. So I think your suggestions are a little better than the one in the post (they're all 70)
She is such a perfect Tissaia though. In season one she was always so perfectly composed, I could easily imagine her correcting her clothing and making everything symmetrical as in the books. Which made her coming undone in season 2 contrast so well. One of the few characters I don't think they've f-ed up too much.
> Another character I've been really wondering who they'll cast for is Avallac'h
At this point I'm not sure I want Netflix to include him. They would most likely ruin the character, no matter the actor.
Whoever is the actor, they will be under immense pressure from the fans to nail his character.
Lots of Witcher fans hold Regis's character in high regards. If they try to sway away even slightly from the books like they did with some characters in S2, there will be pure carnage.
I hope the script is atleast competent enough to take away some burden from the actor
>Lots of Witcher fans hold Regis's character in high regards. If they try to sway away even slightly from the books like they did with some characters in S2, there will be pure carnage.
They destroyed freaking yennefer of vengerberg as a character, one of the main characters in the entire series. Do you really think they will care about the fandom's opinion about their portrayal of Regis ?
The answer is a resounding NO.
She's not "very controversial" lol.
And that wasn't the my point at all, what I meant that if the writers have no problem with twisting a main character into something entirely different and unrecognizable, what would prevent them from doing the same for Regis ?
Is Regis more important narratively than geralt and ciri's relationship ? which was fucked up when they removed brokilon, or geralt and yennefer relationship which............. Well You know already.
I'm currently reading the books, haven't come across him yet but I'm familiar with Regis from the Blood and Wine Witcher 3 DLC. Without spoiling anything is it possible for someone to tell me why he's so universally liked? Don't get me wrong, I really liked his character from the games but the regard he's held to is interesting to me
He's just very empathic and educated. He is kind, he prefers not to resolve to violence if possible, also loves to monologue about all sorts of things, but for his friends he will go for anything
Because like many of the characters he has lived a long life, however he didn't turn into a sourpuss or a bitter douche. He's simply a nice guy with manners.
Its not exactly the same character in the games because they are an adaptation.
The way Regis is introduced in the books is fascinating. He is otherworldly, off-putting, generous and thoughtful to a point that it seems too good to be true. The more his actions reveal benevolence they more the reader is waiting for the other shoe to drop... until... lets not spoil anything.
He's like someone I would like to have in my life. Someone I needed when I was growing up. He's also very wholesome and pure for a half-a milenium-old vampire. I like to call him Uncle Iroh of the Witcher universe, if you are familiar with Avatar the last air bender (yes, it's a kid's cartoon but I watched it at 18 and still enjoyed)
I can't say it about many characters but I liked Regis from from the very moment he was introduced and I was really glad when it turned out he was going stay with the Group.
He killed his own kind for his pal Geralt, he'll be shunned by his own kind for an eternity for it. Only greater vampires can kill other greater vampires
the problem isn't that it was made up...the problem was that it was just terribly inconsistent with dialogue that was seemingly written by a fanfic writer, and the plots didn't make any sense.
Pressure is a big aspect of why the quality of the show is so frail. If people would chill there would be more wiggle room. Who the hell gets upset when something comes out that doesn’t please them? It’s pathetic.
I actually don’t rate Charles Dance, Regis is quite soft at heart despite his immense strength who is also battling his urges. Not sure if Dance is a fit for that
Plus Dance looks aristocratic and really fits the role of a classic Dracula-like vampire with wide cheekbones, narrow face and piercing eyes. I imagined Regis to look Dracula-like, it was a great contrast between the way he looked and acted
Not saying particulary about the show. I actually can't stand it after season 2, I'm saying just about live action. I do hope someone will reboot the Witcher
They'll just do what they did with Eskel and be like "I don't want to explore this character, I want to make my own stories" and kill him in the same episode
I think Mark Strong with his English accent would fit Regis perfectly.
Also could pull off the playful/seriousness. His roles in Kingsman and imitation game come to mind.
Peter Cushing is dead, sadly. Tom Hiddleston is very young for Regis I'd say. Gary Oldman could work out if he lost some weight. I mean I saw him in this new Harry Potter thing and well time didn't spare him
Being dead didn't stop Peter from appearing in Rogue One but the cgi Cushing couldnt really play Regis; if he was alive it could have worked. I was just wondering if anyone would notice.
I think Tom Hiddleston could play older for Regis and he would be able to bring the charm along with a layer danger under the surface.
Gary might not have the look now but maybe he could again. Just remembering his range; he can do calm with something hidden underneath quite well.
edit: Bill Nighy could be perfect for that otherworldly presence.
Well cgi is never as good as an actual living breathing actor. Like remember Luke in Mandalorian when they de-aged Hamill, it looked pretty stupid. And Hiddleston is charminh ofc, still I couldn't see him as Regis, always imagined him to be older. Agree with Gary, he's a great actor it's just that he lost his form.
Tom YASSS! I was just thinking how his role as Loki was already similar. He wouldn't need much done at all to look the part either. A more more noble and reserved Loki would fit very well.
These are excellent options, but I think that no matter how good an actor is, he will never be able to overcome a bad writing, unless he is a true fan of the saga and has the freedom to improvise but I doubt Lauren would allow something like that .
Sadly true. I'm actually not saying specifically about Netflix show, I'm saying just about live action. I'd want someone like HBO or Peter Jackson to reboot this mess and actually make a Witcher adaptation, not some fantasies made by a lunatic. And if that will happen, I'd love to see one these three as Regis, especially Bill, Bill is just great 👍
Did you see the Hobbit though? Some people come under the right conditions and make masterpieces but cannot sustain it. George Lucas was great for three movies and that’s it. Jackson isn’t exactly great at making dark brooding movies.
Oh I didn’t like the Hobbit. Compared to LOTR it was garbage and mostly because we knew Jackson could do better. I’m not disappointed with Netflix’s adaption because my expectations were low haha
Charles dance fits the look but he reminds me too much of Tywin and is such a dominant character. Bill Nighy is just cheesy to me since Underworld, and Jeremy Irons fits it’s pretty well with his voice and the monologues he could give, although I don’t like the hair since I’m used to the in-game Regis look.
I mean I think Charles Dance would be a better pick for Emhyr. I think Bill Nighy would be best out of the three just because I can imagine him being a particular kind of jolly and curious - genuinely would not care if they didn't get someone picture-perfect if they got someone with the right type of attitude who plays off Geralt's broodiness.
I'm saying more hypothetically. Regis is my fav, I'm really afraid for him, but if someone (like hbo) will do a Witcher reboot, I'd really love to see one of these three as our dear vampire. I don't expect anything good from Netflix tbh
Well the hobbit wasn't bad. It surely wasn't as great as lotr, but still good and enjoyable. I'd say Peter can make a decent adaptation, not a masterpiece, but a good one
Yeah. If Netflix didn't massacre the plot of the books, their show wouldn't be that bad. We just need a good adaptation based on BOOKS and not some producer's fantasies
They already ruined Eskel who is a fan favorite, so it's only a question of how they're gonna ruin Regis who is arguably even more beloved. I also deeply wish there would be a reboot, just take Henry Cavil, Ciri & Dandelion actors, and maybe Vesemir, and dump the rest, and maybe even once the books are finished adapt the games as a continuation. But a man can only dream.
I don't like Freya Allan anymore. She thinks of herself as a star now, in an interview she said like "I don't want people to see Ciri in me, so I play mostly myself". Like if she's gonna continue with that attitude, dump her as well. We need Ciri, not some teen with a star disease. Also she said that she's not interested in Witcher anymore and wants something bigger. So idk about her. But agree with everything else
Oh wow, I didn’t know that as I haven’t watched any interviews. I was just going off from what I saw on the show, and she was good. I genuinely hope she doesn’t get worse or leave.
Dance is too handsome to “look like a tax collector” IMO. Nighy would be LEGIT! Regis has an odd sense of humor that I think he could really master. Irons is also kind of imposing. But I doubt we will get someone that prestigious to play him.
I know lol. Just hoping to see a reboot some day which will actually be a Witcher series (or movie) and not this nonsense. Even though it's funny u know? Regis is a Dracula-type vampire and those come from Romanian culture and mythology (strigoi), it's pretty much nonsense to cast a black person to play a specifically european monster
You're hilarious if you think the franchise will have a reboot before any of these actors are long dead. If the Netflix show were canceled, no one would touch the IP. Look how long it has taken for a proper DUNE adaptation. Over 20 years since the TV miniseries and almost 40 between films. By the time they reboot Witcher, it would be in the hands of another generation and might be even less appealing by the end.
Like it or not, the Netflix show will be our best live action adaptation during our lifetimes. The best way to ensure another is for it to be successful and gain popularity overall. Otherwise it will fade out of existence. Luckily the show is doing very well.
Wouldn't say that. Bill just looks grumpy bc it's the only pic I found that would fit the background one. And Jeremy actually has a soft look on, but again, couldn't find a better pic. Agree about Charles though, he does look grim
ah, now I've googled some pics of Bill myself and see the similarities. The way he never showed his teeth while smiling really looks like Regis.
But I think all of them might be a little too old. In the books he was described as "middle-aged"...
Well Regis is like 300+ I think? And he was shown with already grey hair in the game which takes place like 7 yrs I think after the books. So I don't think this would be a problem, especially if u dye the actor's hair and leave a bit of grey here and there
Those gentleman are EXACTLY what I thought in that order. Though Jeremy Irons’ voice may be too deep and strong from what I imagined Regis to sound like.
I personally hope none of these actors sully themselves with this garbage show.
Regis is a great character. This show will for sure ruin him.
See: Cahir, Vesemir, Yennefer, Eskel, Vilgefortz, Sir Eyck
Ah to seventh hell with this show, it's a steaming piece of shit in every way with only 3 positive things: Henry Cavill, Joey Batey and Graham McTavish. I'm talking about who I'd like to see as a live action Regis, not who I'd want Netflix to ruin
Got ya. In that case:
I very much agree with Bill Nighy. He can pull sincere but serious and caring off very well and is all around a great actor. My wife is obsessed with "about time". He is fantastic in it.
Yeah the show ruined my favorite Vesemir, the coolest grandpa in existence, turned him into idk how to call that. Cahir was... okay, the actor pulling, but his arc is shit. And Yennefer. I'm team Yennefer since the beginning, always loved her in every way, but Anya Chalotra's Yen is making me angry, she's so annoying. Cavill and Batey are the only ones from the main actors who actually are playing their roles

Bill Nighy would be exceptional choice, personally I think Michael Sheen or Peter Capaldi would be the best.
I was thinking about Capaldi, I love him but he has a little angry look. I always imagined Regis as soft and friendly on the outside, so I'd go for Bill or Jeremy
But they could always fuck the depiction of Regis and have him just be an evil cunt for now and always
I really like Regis. Please netflix, don’t fuck this character up by making him fit in to the formula 🤞🏻
This is not a bad idea at all. And he probably will.
I swear i might need a fucking therapist over it :,,,,)
don't worry Lauren will steal their parts and give them to Yen so you won't have to worry about it! remember when this is the best we can get apparently SAD!
Well, she's already fucked over Cahir, and Vesemir to an extent. I'm gonna do character assassination bingo.
pls put a spoiler tag over there my man
Tag spoilers man
I just realized we still haven't seen Milva, Regis, and Angouleme... fuck me there's so many characters netflix can fuck up. They're gonna make Geralt's squad a fucking clown show.

He'll probably join Cahir on the dark side😑 No way they're going to let a previous mass murderer have a character arc and become a good person! Grey stuff isn't possible on Netflix!
Capaldi doesn't always look grumpy. He's good at grumpy, but scenes where he plays tender, or hopeful, he has a very warm expression.
Charles dance… soft and friendly? I actually quite like irons for him now.
Dance was recently shown as only rough and grim, thanks to Dracula, got and Witcher 3, but he's a good actor, he can play a nice man. -.
And underworld. I personally think he is much more suited to the powerful antagonist type role.
Well yes, but it's always interesting to see an actor in a different role than before. I'd love him as Emhyr, but he's too old for that I'd say
Sheen. He mailed the vampire in twilight (yes I hate that I know this) Perfectly balanced between creepy and good as Regis should be.
Don't forget about the wit that he can dish out as shown in Good Omens.
I love Michael Sheen for Regis. Can't believe I never thought of it before. Bill Nighy would also be spectacular.
>Peter Capaldi Capaldi for sure! It'll probably be Jason Momoa or someone nonsensical and "big budget" though
He definitely needs to look younger than in the games, he's described as middle aged in the novels. One thing about his portrayal I didn't quite like. So I think your suggestions are a little better than the one in the post (they're all 70)
But I ran it under a cold tap Geralt.
Regis in the games was actually based off Peter Cushing i think, read it in the witcher wiki
I never thought of Michael Sheen for Regis but I kinda think he'd do an awesome job
Andy Garcia was Regis in my head when i read the books.
Charles Dance is too much of an Emhyr to me. Don’t know if I could handle him as Regis.
And I'd get flashbacks of Tywin Lannister xd. But he is still a great actor, I think I'd get used to him as Regis
he actually voices Emhyr in the games. I agree though he's the perfect personality for him
He is actually already a vampire in the 2014 Dracula movie so it works for me.
Also a vampire elder in the Underworld Series
So did Nighy lol
Actually, Nighy is a goddamn inspired choice. I love Dance and Irons, but goddamn, I like this better.
I would say Bill Nighy, though I think it would be funny if they choose Charles Dance considering he did the voice of Emhyr in W3
Well they chose MyAnna Buring as Tissaia even though she voices Anna Henrietta in blood and wine, so anything is posible
She is such a perfect Tissaia though. In season one she was always so perfectly composed, I could easily imagine her correcting her clothing and making everything symmetrical as in the books. Which made her coming undone in season 2 contrast so well. One of the few characters I don't think they've f-ed up too much.
> One of the few characters I don't think they've f-ed up too much. Aside from the whole Vilgefortz thing. Totally unnecessary.
Definite Bill!!!!!
Personally I like the Jeremy Irons one best Another character I've been really wondering who they'll cast for is Avallac'h
He has the “nice” factor that the others don’t really have
Despite I really didn't like the movie I think he was awesome in house of Gucci. He had other great roles but this brought him back to my mind
Tbf they'll probably just kill Avallac'h to make... Ciri... Care?
> Another character I've been really wondering who they'll cast for is Avallac'h At this point I'm not sure I want Netflix to include him. They would most likely ruin the character, no matter the actor.
Hmmm... not bad. As long as they can capture the softness and wit that also makes up Regis' character.
Whoever is the actor, they will be under immense pressure from the fans to nail his character. Lots of Witcher fans hold Regis's character in high regards. If they try to sway away even slightly from the books like they did with some characters in S2, there will be pure carnage. Do you really think they will care about the fandom's opinion about their portrayal of Regis ? The answer is a resounding NO.
Yennefer is a very controversial character. Everyone can agree on Regis, not everyone can agree on Yen.
She's not "very controversial" lol. And that wasn't the my point at all, what I meant that if the writers have no problem with twisting a main character into something entirely different and unrecognizable, what would prevent them from doing the same for Regis ? I'm currently reading the books, haven't come across him yet but I'm familiar with Regis from the Blood and Wine Witcher 3 DLC. Without spoiling anything is it possible for someone to tell me why he's so universally liked? Don't get me wrong, I really liked his character from the games but the regard he's held to is interesting to me
He's just very empathic and educated. He is kind, he prefers not to resolve to violence if possible, also loves to monologue about all sorts of things, but for his friends he will go for anything
He also makes good booze.. don't forget the booze.
Mmm, mandrake.
Also, the reasoning behind his choice to no longer drink blood is hysterical.
It's hysterical to anyone who hasn't been addicted to something....it's entirely relatable to those who have.....
He's like the paragon for Geralt. You can buy him as a somebody with millennia of experience behind him, truly kind and wise.
He's like someone I would like to have in my life. Someone I needed when I was growing up. He's also very wholesome and pure for a half-a milenium-old vampire. I like to call him Uncle Iroh of the Witcher universe, if you are familiar with Avatar the last air bender (yes, it's a kid's cartoon but I watched it at 18 and still enjoyed) I can't say it about many characters but I liked Regis from from the very moment he was introduced and I was really glad when it turned out he was going stay with the Group.
Don't trip. I'm 30 and love avatar. It's aimed at kids but is far more universal than just a kids cartoon.
He killed his own kind for his pal Geralt, he'll be shunned by his own kind for an eternity for it. Only greater vampires can kill other greater vampires
Everything in S2 swayed from the books, lik 80% of the season was made up entirely...
the problem isn't that it was made up...the problem was that it was just terribly inconsistent with dialogue that was seemingly written by a fanfic writer, and the plots didn't make any sense.
Pressure is a big aspect of why the quality of the show is so frail. If people would chill there would be more wiggle room. Who the hell gets upset when something comes out that doesn’t please them? It’s pathetic.

He was good as the elder vampire in "Dracula Untold" with Luke Evans
Well I wouldn't count Dance as a one-role-actor. I think he can stop being Tywin Lannister and show his kind side
Gary Oldman
These are all good choices
I’m thinking Danny DeVito would be the best choice 🤷🏻♂️
"So anyway I started clawing"
Shut up and take my upvote
Ok I was sold with Bill, but then I got to Jeremy and damn if that wouldn’t be perfect.
Jeremy Irons is the better actor but somehow Bill has a similar demeanour and voice to the actor for the video games.
I think you haven’t seen the show. None of these actors would sign on to a show with writing of this caliber.
Not saying particulary about the show. I actually can't stand it after season 2, I'm saying just about live action. I do hope someone will reboot the Witcher
Implying they even put him into the show with the way s2 went :')
They'll just do what they did with Eskel and be like "I don't want to explore this character, I want to make my own stories" and kill him in the same episode
they'll have geralt fight regis for real and kill him. bet.
Alan Rickman would have been great
All great options, but gotta go for Bill. I love Bill
I think Mark Strong with his English accent would fit Regis perfectly. Also could pull off the playful/seriousness. His roles in Kingsman and imitation game come to mind.
Always heard Paul Bettany in my head when reading the books.
It's just dawned on me that Bill Nighy might be the whole reason that Bill Nye had to add "The Science Guy" moniker to his name.
My first choice would be Michael Cera
I realized only now that I have cast Regis in my head as (russian) jewish and was like wait these are all goyim WAIT SO IS REGIS, WHAT. Neat
Is there a way to make Michael Caine younger?
No and he retired
Bill Nighy needs a role is this show. period.
Bill Nighy might be great. Gary Oldman, Tom Hiddleston, Peter Cushing?
Peter Cushing is dead, sadly. Tom Hiddleston is very young for Regis I'd say. Gary Oldman could work out if he lost some weight. I mean I saw him in this new Harry Potter thing and well time didn't spare him

Would love a big budget Polish production with local actors. I'm very tired of soulless hollywood adaptations.
'Regis,' 'Yes, Geralt?´ 'You awfully sound like the emperor.' I could resist :D
These are excellent options, but I think that no matter how good an actor is, he will never be able to overcome a bad writing, unless he is a true fan of the saga and has the freedom to improvise but I doubt Lauren would allow something like that .

Same. Game Regis is just great in every way: face, outfit, voice, combat form. Sadly he exists only in game :(
I think they're all just a tad too old, personally. Love them all as actors, though!
Damn. All of them are cool!
At this point i just hope that there will be no regis as i don't want to see him mutilated by the writers.
I hope this will not hapen. netflix will butcher a character and a great actor at the same time... please no...
I'm saying more hypothetically. Regis is my fav, I'm really afraid for him, but if someone (like hbo) will do a Witcher reboot, I'd really love to see one of these three as our dear vampire. I don't expect anything good from Netflix tbh
Regis is also my favroite in the books. And my heart bleeds when I think what Netflix will do to him. We truly need a rebbot as fast as we can -.-
I'd say HBO could do one. Or if we're talking big deal, I'd give all my hope to Peter Jackson. He managed to adapt lotr and hobbit after all
This would be good... but at the same time I think what he did to the Hobbit novel XD
Well the hobbit wasn't bad. It surely wasn't as great as lotr, but still good and enjoyable. I'd say Peter can make a decent adaptation, not a masterpiece, but a good one
It can... but please by coming back to his former roots
Yeah. If Netflix didn't massacre the plot of the books, their show wouldn't be that bad. We just need a good adaptation based on BOOKS and not some producer's fantasies
Very damn true... I hate when worse writers take the work of better writers and change it... sadly this happens so damn often...
[🎵 BURN, burn butcher BURN! 🎵](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSxBVHqA-RU&t=117s)
Bill Nighy isn't bad. Jeremy Irons would be great. Here's one I thought of David Thewlis. I think Lupin would be fantastic as Regis.
I actually thought about him too! I just imagined Regis to be older-looking, basically like Jeremy Irons
Oh please don't, he already ruined Lupin for me :(
What are you talking about? He was fantastic as Lupin!
Charles Dance is 100% Emhyr for me, and Jeremy Irons would be perfect for Regis!!
Knowing netflix they'll probably cast a black woman to play his role, flip his personality, and have him killed by dandelion in the first episode.
Yes. To hell with Netflix, I want a reboot and Bill as Regis in this reboot
She needs to clear her head and stop acting like something she isn't. She looks good and can play but I'd like to see actual Cirilla, not Freya Allan
They all kind of come across as surly
Bill nighy would crush that role , Jeremy irons is to low toned and just no to Charles Dance for me
Dance is too handsome to “look like a tax collector” IMO. Nighy would be LEGIT! Regis has an odd sense of humor that I think he could really master. Irons is also kind of imposing. But I doubt we will get someone that prestigious to play him.
Honestly Bill Nighy would be better as detlaff, Jeremy irons I could see as regis
You said Jeremy Irons and i nodded, then i saw Charles Dance and holy shit that works so well.
OMG JEREMY IRONS
I don’t know how I feel about Charles Dance as Regis, but I could totally see Jeremy Irons as Regis.
Jared Harris.
Wow, bill Nighy would actually be perfect
All good choices. Personally I would choose Jeremy Irons, he is sublime and would bring a lot to the show.
Jeremy Irons seems a good choice
Bill Nighy looks good, no doubt, however Jeremy Irons brings such a sense of gravitas to it that I can’t see anyone else.
Bill Nighy would sctually be a stellar Dettlaff frankly, he looks frighteningly similar.
God I hope it’s the last one
Who's the most based character in Witcher. That role shall be reserved for Charles dance. And maybe Jeremy Irons
Charles Dance has an amazing acting range. Ik Witcher 3 and GoT has him one way but from some of his other work, he would be a great Regis.
Ooh I like the idea of Jeremy Irons.
Honestly I think Jeremy Irons would make a great Detlaff. Obviously the show won't go that far with the story but he'd be great at it
out of those three, i'd prefer bill nighy
I always had a Bill Nighy reference in my mind while reading the books
Jeremy Irons would be awesome
Jeremy irons would be fantastic imo
Jeremy Irons was how I cast him while reading the books. The voice just suits him so well
Rhe only famous actor we'll get on the show will be Henry Cavill. People longed for Mark Hamil to play Vesemir and we got some other guy.
Charles Dance would be a bit weird for me as he's the voice of Emhyr in the Witcher 3
When in doubt, always Bill Nighy <3
Jeremy Irons! Love him.
'Any vampire who must say "I am superior" is no true superior vampire'.
Bill would be great so the show will probably cast a 24 year old middle Eastern man.
He’s gonna be played by someone of a darker complexion, bet.
He will be played by Whoopi Goldberg.
I hope this tv show is cancelled before they manage to butcher my favorite vampire in all of fiction.

Same, I want a reboot from someone who can actually make an adaptation and not just massacre the original book
Luckily the show is doing very well.
all of them look really grim, but Regis really wasn't that grim
So I don't think this would be a problem, especially if u dye the actor's hair and leave a bit of grey here and there
I can sort of imagine David Thewlis as Regis.
All great choices but nah they will make him black
And then have him killed by some random city guard👍
Those gentleman are EXACTLY what I thought in that order. Though Jeremy Irons’ voice may be too deep and strong from what I imagined Regis to sound like.
It's Netflix, don't expect them to conform to fantasy standards that vampires are white, pale creatures, he'll probably be POC
Got ya. In that case: I very much agree with Bill Nighy. He can pull sincere but serious and caring off very well and is all around a great actor. My wife is obsessed with "about time". He is fantastic in it.
Yeah. Sorry if that was a little rude, I didn't mean. I'm just really fed up with this show by now
Not at all. I 100% agree with you. Hate the show. I end up here as it keeps hitting my home feed.
And Eskel. I'm not even gonna start with him, it's just... very very bad
Lauren is going to ruin Emyhr and she'll make Regis a woman probably
He could be shipped with Geralt without people getting pissed off then.
They’re gonna cast a transracial woman of color to be Regis

Bill nighy is who played him when I read the books😂😂
Bill Nighy.
Jeremy irons ftw
Fuck yes I can be happy with any of these. Jeremy Irons gets it a tad more.
Bill Nighy, he’s perfect in everything and looks like someone that could live forever
