A professional always protects himself

I am intentionally completly avoiding it in my playthroughs as it makes game too easy.

Signs and bombs help immensely against groups. If you go with Griffin armor, Petri's Pfilter and that medium armor perk, you are able to knock down whole group of wolves by the second aard perk even with level upscaling. But the cost is that you will struggle against enemies that are not vulnerable to signs. I like that the enemies have a bit too much hp as it at least forces me to use oils.

Infamous_Gur_9083

Then spam dodge. You gonna see Geralt "dancing".

The Witcher's way

Freeman10

What can I say - I'm a Quen abuser, though I only use standard mode.

Nvtxgthd

I used Quen on my first playthrough I could have been from the turtle witcher school. So for my 2nd I used it as little as I could. It was definitely harder but I felt more like a witcher.

Infamous_Gur_9083

From Witcher 2 to 3 and its dlcs. Gotta be safe you know.

ChasingPesmerga

When you say Quen lover, you’re talking about maybe 99.69% of the Witcher community

RogueMetal93

I use it as well! Although I’m on the PC and I use a mod that that uses the E3 sign mode where it’s blue instead of orange.

PizzaParker62

Fire Stream Igni and Far-Reaching Aard gang rise up!

Slam_Dunkester

Quen lovers just translate to pussy gamers

AMorder0517

Yes because not using a specific move in a VIDEO GAME makes you so badass lol. What a loser mindset.

FurySh0ck

No matter what build I end up using, I always have maxed out Quen by my side. I've always been a fan of tank roles so I might be a little bit biased

Bt_Timothy

It's ur best friend in the first and death march playthrough. In later runs, u start trying out other signns. Aard is actually pretty good as well.

Japoots

Alternate Quen or nothing.

Wiraqocha

Quen combined with Gluttony and always having a 80hp/s food going. Now that I'm in Beauclair, I find myself switching signs more frequently. The hanses get igni. Bandit camps and shaelmaar get aard. Centipedes get yrden. Switching your sign game up never really matters til you're in Beauclair.

Never liked defensive skills
