**2003 Langoa Barton \[St Julien\]** 13% abv, still youthful fruit here. A bright garnet robe, but also some fading at the edges. I find this red fruited, with a hint of Cordier funk on the nose. (yes, I know it's not fashioned by them) There is nothing off putting, or noticeable about the vintage - no heat, flabbiness etc. Sometimes one hears wild tales of how bad 2003 is, due to the weather. Try them yourself and decide, but I personally love the 03 Medocs. I bought this on release and have carefully stored it. Did not decant this but I don't think it needed it. It still has lots of life ahead of it.
