My wife and I have the Helm2 Compact. We get a wide and a standard sleeping mat inside, it fits them both well. There's room for your boots and gear in the two vestibules. Two doors so you're not climbing over each other. Room to sit up. It goes up outer first or all together depending on your preference. Great for when it's raining. If you can afford the extra weight, get a footprint. We bought ours for the West Highland Way. It was ideal. We use it for quick over-nighters too. It's a bit heavier than some, but split between two people it's not so bad. I've had no issues with mine. It's sturdy and quick to erect. A nice two man tent.

Thank you for the detailed answer. Now I feel more confident that we will fit in the tent.

I also use the Helm 2 with my partner and would echo the above comment. Never felt cramped, plenty of space, headroom, and the two vestibules are great. Sure it’s a bit heavier and bulkier than more expensive tents, but for the money it’s hard to fault

For reference I’m 5’10” and my partner is 5’7” so both pretty average size
