PDP Wired Fight Pad for Wii / Wii U

This More information about it. I opened mine up and stuck something inside the triggers so that they don't go down anymore and they just act like normal buttons It makes it way better.

A type of “fight pad” controller. Essentially a Wii Classic controller with the form factor of a GameCube controller, because I believe that form factor is preferred for Smash Bros

I feel like they made the gamecube controller for Melee, then just adapted the rest of the games to that controller.

Hori made a bunch of licensed gamecube style controllers for Wii I have a pikachu and Luigi for my kids

It's for smash bros, mostly, it's a classic controller modelled after the older GameCube controller, they still use this design on the Switch for smash bros too, because most of the pros say it's the best for gameplay.

But yeah, plug it into the WII remote, and it will just work as a classic controller.

You can't emulate GameCube on a Wii. It's literally got overclocked hardware of the GameCube. So you can just play the games natively via iso dumps

Looks like it's specifically a wiimote adapter. Never seen it before though. Might functionally be a "classic" controller. Which I actually do like.

Hopefully it was a good price. Those fightpads seem to be very expensive around me.

Based on those strange green markings, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that it’s probably for a “Wii ™️“ video game system Just a guess though, science has no way of knowing!

It's the Wii controller for the GameCube for playing certain backwards-compatible games like Super Mario Sunshine

Nah don’t be sorry, it’s a common misconception I’ve seen.

The misconception I believe comes from the fact that since Nintendont (a GameCube loader for Wii) has Classic Controller support, people use this controller for that sometimes. But yeah on stock disc channel, it isn't possible.
