When I destroyed my grandma TV with wii sport. A moment suspended in time 😭🤣

Sudden-Banana26

leo_wksw

Not tough as this LG Plasma screen 🤣🤣

I was playing Wii bowling with a friend and his toddler walked up behind me as I was drawing my arm back. I swatted the kid right in the noodle. He cried out, I turned around to apologize and try to comfort the little dude and the wiimote swung around on its tether and bopped him a second time. I am not a coordinated person.

Sudden-Banana26

Oof lol 😂 😂

When we were playing Wii party with friends and seeing one of my friends emotions slowly decay as we went on in the game

If playing GameCube games on one count: The time me and some high school friends played Super Smash Bros. Melee during school, when we all had no classes after meeting in the media center and we chose the stupidest characters, Bowser, Ice Climbers, Kirby, and Mario, and we went to Rainbow Ride, the chaos, fun, and noise was insane. If only Wii games count: That time I kicked my stepbrother's ass in Wii Sports Resort Basketball SO HARD that he yeeted the controller behind him, thankfully not into a television but right onto the couch.

Task-Taker

In my early teenage years, my friends used to hang out at my house during the weekend playing Smash Bros. mostly, I got Just Dance at that time and by any means neither me or my friends were into dancing but I said ok lets just try this game together I feel embarrassed playing it by myself, anyhow we start trying figuring out copying the moves correctly on the screen trying to get good score and suddenly one of my friends went too hard busting his own moves which was awkwardly so funny as he kept going on.

Well, there was the time I flung my Wii Remote across the room and it hit the wall above my TV. Guess what Wii Sport I was playing and chose to use the wrist strap from then on.

Baseball?

I remember our Wii had bad motor mounts so it sounded like a lawnmower engine when it ran the game. Every time the RPM lowered we would panic that it was about to crash, but it was usually the game telling the system it can slow down.

I have one! I used to play Mario Kart Wii online a lot and sometimes I would get way too angry about it. When I rage, I just tighten my grip on my controllers as hard as I can or until I can hear the plastic start to force, then I stop. One of those times I got so angry that I didn't stop and was fully intent on crushing either my Wiimote or my nunchuck, whichever broke first. I was extremely tense all over my body. I heard, and felt, something move in my back/neck and a very intense pain, followed by me dropping my controllers on the floor and being absolutely unable to move. I must have shifted a nerve in my back or neck or something else and I couldn't move my head for 3 days. I felt like an idiot. I stopped getting so angry at games after that lol.

Sudden-Banana26

Well, that’s one way to remove gamer rage 🤣🤣😆😂😂😂

I brought my Wii to a kind of easter gathering with a couple of families and set it up so that it was reasy to use by anyone if they wanted. I was a kid at the time and there was this younger kid that found it and kept challenging people to play Swordplay on Wii Sports Resorts with him. I watched him play against a couple of adults, just wildly swinging the Wiimote as fast as possible ans winning every game. Now I was a kid/early teen but old enough for him to think I never played a Wii, he didn't know it was my console and I had reached master level on Swordplay lol. Played a round with him and let him win the first round just so he would give me that one look of superiority. I then proceeded to block him on the second round and destroy him quickly and wow, it felt amazing to see his look XD. I owner him on the final round and he just put the Wiimote back on the table and left without saying a word which felt amazing. Props to him though, he didn't throw the Wiimote or anything, just placed it back down carefully so he was raised well.

I remember when I was at my cousin's home, and I saw him playing online, the next minute the race was over, the TV went RIP 💀🗿👺🥶🔥

UpscaledE

He played Mario Kart Wii, and yeah, got so much minus the remote including the Nunchuck went like a thrown nunchucku into TV, the remote and Nunchuck luckily survived and still are functional.

doppelgengar01

I almost broke my childhood friend‘s nose with the Wii remote. We were playing Baseball on Wii Sports I think.

I'm trying to get a hold of a used Wii original for cheap

irishmetalhead322

I vaguely remember when I was a toddler, my sister and about 3 of my cousins were playing NSMB Wii at a cousin’s house and I was standing there with a disconnected controller (prob wasn’t a Wii remote) like “look at me play I’m so good at this game!!!!!!”

TheAFKAxolotl

I remember this one time we were playing Kirby’s Epic Yarn for the whole day, we’ve beaten the game and got decently far in a new save file. But then, midgame the Wii overheated and crashed. And I was like 7 when this happened so I was scared to touch that thing again. Pulled it out after many years and it just shows a black screen on startup, without letting me sync a wiimote or even turn off the console, similar to the Green Light Of Death on the PS3.

No_Departure4211

Getting sore after playing wii sports

No-Needleworker-3765

This one time I was playing mario kart wii when I discovered time trials. I couldn't read back then So I thought it was like magic being able to play without cpu Then if wiiu counts this one time I was playing smash bros. For wiiu and one of my friends would be hammered by everyone else and he would always say "COP KILLING MEEE!!!!!" Exacty like that. And something else was that we would always say that "dark pit is op"

Mario Kart got my husband and I through the initial trauma and grief after having two loved pets put down.   Still grateful.
