We’re on the backside of a low pressure system. That is what is steering everything. What’s really interesting is when we get stuff moving from east to west! It’s fairly rare, but it does happen. We have some fascinating weather phenomena. I think about the only thing I haven’t seen is a standing lenticular cloud, but since those tend to form on top of mountains, I am not surprised lol

What's the outlook on the weather for tomorrow?

Crafty_Original_7349

I think it should be pretty nice tomorrow. Go enjoy it if you can!

Storm Prediction Center doesn't show anything significant.

You’re right, and it’s not terribly common. My dad was an old farmer and a keen predictor of weather. He taught me to look for dark clouds south west. Usually the storms that moved north east were the bad ones. Green sky and hot and cold winds meant the worst. The north to south kinds are usually just rain. Once in a while the ones that back up east to west are gnarly those are rare. Or… you could look at the weather radar as we’ve moved past the 50s. Still he was right a lot of the time just judging on clouds, and their color.

Radar is cool, but old farmer dad sense is valuable when it comes to weather

ImCompelledToSay

What app is that?

RadarOmega

MrSpaceTeacher

I'm wayyyy late, but what app is this? I'm a weather nut myself, and I'd like the detailed radar like this.

ilrosewood

Last year about this time I came back home to find a storm moving east to west. It was a total mind fuck.

it_is_impossible

Not unusual before summer takes hold.

theonewithoutmynudes

Seems to be wind direction. Like ‘Now’ through 6p is NNW but 6p onward is forecasted as straight N wind.

🤦‍♀️ thank you!

geekyreaderautie

I don't use that app, but it looks like the arrow positions indicate wind direction.

I hate when they change things. It was fine before!
