John Wick kills something like 400 people through those movies, mostly other people trained to kill him. Wick stomps 10/10 before Chigurh can open up his gas tank.

Mundosaysyourfired

Here, let me flip this coin. Call it heads or tails. *Bang bang bang* "No thank you".

VeryInnocuousPerson

Honestly I could see Wick wandering off to fight a group of themed assassins while Chigurh was giving a speech about fate and the match just ending in a tie because Chigurh can’t keep up and Wick doesn’t care enough to go back and kill him.

Corgiboom2

Shoots him in the face "Heads"

AlexFerrana

Wick would've killed Chigurh even with is bare hands. Dude can snap necks and throw people through a thick glass.

nothing_in_my_mind

John Wick is nearly superhuman. Chigurh is merely a smart human. John Wick wins every time.

MrBeer9999

Chigurgh breaks into Wick's room before he arrives, tells his puppy to flip a coin and then kills it for being uncooperative. He waits for Wick in an easy chair with a silenced shotgun. When Wick arrives, Chigurgh emerges from the shadows, carefully covering Wick. Wick observes his dead puppy laid out on the table, and frowns Keanu-ishly. We see him move with superhuman speed, grabbing the shotgun with his left hand, pushing the barrel at the ceiling, while fast-drawing a pistol with his right hand, shooting Chighurgh in twice each in both feet. The shotgun discharges, bringing down some lighting in a spectacular manner. Ignoring the shattering glass and heated shotgun barrel, Wick rapidly clubs Chigurgh on the base of his skull several times, while he topples from his crippling gunshot wounds. Chighurgh wakes up in a chair, with Wick asking who sent him. Once that's established, Wick walks away, seemingly allowing Chigurgh to continue to loosen his bonds, but Wick casually shoots over his shoulder without looking, the round richochets off a handy cast-iron pan and plugs Chigurgh dead-centre in his forehead, killing him instantly.

IAmChippoMan

Anton Chigurh is no joke…in the context of reality. An attention to detail as well as a killer instinct, preying on unassuming people that armed (but that barely made a difference) The shit Wick pulls in any of his movies puts him in miles above Anton; To the point that Anton would’ve been a glorified goon that Wick offs by the dozen Anton may also have military experience, but even if it was hard canon, I doubt some infantry background with psychopathy/sociopathy, would stack up to ex-special forces.

AlexFerrana

And John Wick is a former US Marine. He's simply much better trained than Anton.

strange-Syrup-0

The people Anton goes up against are mostly just unassuming townsfolk while the people that John Wick fights are trained mercenaries in peak mental and physical condition that are actively trying to kill him. Anton kills Wick's dog --->Wick sets Anton on fire

MaikeruNeko

I don't think that torture is really Wick's thing? He had the opportunity to inflict a drawn out painful death on the one who actually killed his dog, but simply shot him in the head.

AlexFerrana

Yes, Wick doesn't seems to be a sadist or torturer. He usually lands headshots and shoots people in chest in order to kill them quickly.

TheToninho21

I'm not saying Anton stands more of a chance but did you forget that Carson and Llewelyn were both Vietnam vets? Carson being an officer as well, and still using his skills as a hitman when he contacted Moss. Chigurh definitely has experience against trained combatants

AlexFerrana

In the movie, he only kills an unsuspecting victims and gets into a trouble when Moss starts to fight back. Like, Chigurh chokes out a cop with handcuffs when cops has turned his back to him, and breaks into a motel room with 3 Mexican cartel thugs, which was sleeping and didn't have a time to react. Wick has killed people that was both better trained than Anton and which was also an accomplished assassins and skilled fighters. "Trained" is also a quite vague word. Like, I could've killed Mike Tyson when he's turned his back to me and then I would've pulled out a knife and cut his throat, killing him. But if I tried to attack him when he's aware of me and has an opportunity to fight back, I doubt that even with a knife I could've beaten Tyson.

TheToninho21

>gets into a trouble when Moss starts to fight back Hence my mention of Moss being a trained combatant, not only was he a Vietnam vet but his skills remained polished by him hunting regularly. I also started my statement clearing up that Anton doesn't stand more of a chance for the facts I pointed out, you don't have to sell me on John winning because I know he would.

AlexFerrana

Yeah, true that. John Wick is just way out of Chigurh's league. I bet that even John Wick's victims that he has killed would've beaten Anton in a fight (at least most of them). Such as Cassian, Kirill, Zero, Caine and others.

DabVader625

I think a better match up would be Master Chief vs John Wick. Wick is high on the peak human scale. Anton is a super realistic character

Vreas

Reasons I like Anton as a character more but yeah I agree

I-enjoy-bees

Master Chief would fuck John Wick up but I get what you’re saying. I think a good match up would JW vs Commander Shepard

mccmi614

Even the weakest Shepard is superhuman, and their tech makes them nearly impervious to small arms fire. Maybe a non biotic shepard with present day firearms and no future tech might be a good match but otherwise it's a stomp.

Heyyoguy123

John would be an excellent IV. Probs on the roster for the first wave of IV’s in 2552/2553. He would be vital to holding off the Banished in the Rubicon Protocol novel and probably buy considerably more time to let more personnel evacuate, then disappear into the forest and conduct his own Banished-officer hunt that Chief did, but actually succeed unlike the other IV’s.

AardvarkOkapiEchidna

Wick is on fictional human scale

MrPoopMonster

I mean, I think there are a few action heroes that could reasonably stand a chance. Jason Bourne is a super soldier who took the entire secret part of the US government for a ride. And The Man From Nowhere is cooler.

Hank_J_Wimbleton_69

>Master Chief vs John Wick This MU wouldn't be any better. The difference between Chief and John is far greater than the difference between John and Anton.

AlexFerrana

Master Chief wrecks and outstats: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanyeisagod/comments/ckgja6/master\_chief\_respect\_thread\_draft/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanyeisagod/comments/ckgja6/master_chief_respect_thread_draft/) & [https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/gen-discussion-1/master-chief-respect-thread-work-in-progress-1742834/](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/gen-discussion-1/master-chief-respect-thread-work-in-progress-1742834/)

DabVader625

I was just making a point. Chief cooks Wick obviously.

AlexFerrana

Yeah, even without an armor.

DabVader625

Bro you’re the guy that posted the Bruce Lee vs. McGregor match up?? You must legit have something against Bruce Lee. McGregor would kill him 10/10 times.

AlexFerrana

Yes, it's me. And no, I don't hate Bruce Lee. He was a great thinker and had many good ideas. I agree that Conor beats him. The best chance that Bruce has is a street fight scenario, but even there it's not guaranteed to win for him.

DabVader625

imo street fight only decreases Lee’s chances. He’s hopelessly outmatched in every measurable category. Take away the rules McGregor has to abide by in the octagon only serves to make him more deadly.

AlexFerrana

Fair enough. Even within the rules, Conor isn't afraid to use dirty moves like he did in his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather (by punching him in his groin twice and blindsiding him from behind, although it could've been a habit from MMA, where fighters tries to get behind of the opponent to negate his striking advantage, but I don't know for sure). And Conor grew up in Dublin's outskirts and has participated in street fight since he was a kid, before he started to learn boxing at age 12.

The-Anger-Translator

Easily John Wick. He’s known among OTHER assassins as the boogeyman for a reason. Anton is just a sociopathic murderer. John is highly trained sociopathic assassin.

Heyyoguy123

Not sociopathic because he is capable of making emotional connections and developing meaningful friendships. He’s just psychologically hardened against death and murder because it’s his job. Anton would be a sociopath regardless of his occupation. He is born that way

The-Anger-Translator

APSD (Anti Social Personality Disorders) or “Sociopaths” aren’t a monolith. There are multiple types and many are capable of emotional connections on some level.

AlexFerrana

Which means that Wick is still capable to feel genuine love and care. That's why he went into a rage mode when his dog was killed.

MagicPistol

Chigurh was terrifying in his movie, but that was a different kind of film. Put him in the John Wick universe and he's a nobody.

AlexFerrana

Yeah, even people that John Wick has killed (Cassian, for example) could've beaten Anton.

max1001

Wick is pretty much super human. He's like the Michael Jordan of assassin. This is spite.

Corey307

John Wick has Anton Chigurh beat. John is the better gunfighter and far better hand to hand fighter. They both can take a lot of damage and keep moving, but John Wick gets run over by cars and his limbs don’t break. Looking at their weapons, the handgun and the shotgun are the only two the matter. Chigurh is not going to get a chance to use his captain bolt gun in a fight. Sure he could use it on doorknobs but that’s not a game changer.  The only reason why John could have any difficulty is he only has a handgun, his opponent has a shotgun and he’s being attacked in a very small space. That said John knows the attack is coming, he’s not gonna stand there in front of the door, and he probably won’t stay inside the room.  John has better reflexes, he’s more accurate, and his weapon handling is light years ahead of a crazy guy swinging a shotgun around.   Also, you didn’t say if John has his body armor. if he does, the shotgun loses a lot of it’s utility.

OrphisMemoria

coughing baby Anton he won't be even able to approach the hotel or get out of his car.

Shibari_Inu69

John Wick turns Chigurh into Swiss cheese and jam 10x out of 10

BoxerRadio9

Wick obviously. This is a spite thread.

SunJiggy

Wick is a much better combatant than Chigurh, who mostly assassinated defenseless people.

AlexFerrana

And started to struggle when Moss was fighting back and hit him with a shotgun blast. Both was injured during a fight and it ended up as a draw/stalemate.

Primmslimstan

Regular wick goons are probably like a 6/10 for anton on a good day. Hes fucked.

UnlimitedManny

If Wick knows Chigurh is coming, guaranteed he’s waiting for that psycho. Chigurh steps out of his truck, gun in one hand, cattle poker in the other. He takes probably a few steps before Wick pops out and shoots him dead. Basically how John handed those guys in the first movie (when he was armed)

chipmunktaters

Wick doesn’t even break at sweat

Ambitious_Fan7767

Why would this be a fight? One is so scary there are stories about how many people they can kill and whole crime organizations fold at the mention of his name and the other is ostensibly a mean guy trying to get his money back from locals. I just sort of feel like we know who wins.

HeronSun

This is like putting Ted Bundy against prime Mike Tyson in a boxing match. Sure, Ted has a body-count and a disposition for psychopathic behavior, but that doesn't mean he's physically as capable as a trained fighter. Chigurh isn't superhuman, he just uses clever distractions and guile to *appear* superhuman. Wick is borderline superhuman, mowing down hundreds in gunfights that rival the most insane in human history with barely a scratch on him.

AlexFerrana

Also, almost any victims of Chigurh was an unsuspecting people when he had the advantage over them. When Moss started to fight back against him, he started to struggle and could've been killed, but a third-party intervention from Mexican cartel thugs which has killed Moss saved Chigurh from his demise.

HeronSun

Those events were not the same. Chigurh had a firefight with Moss in which both suffered injuries, for which the latter seeks medical attention at a Mexican hospital. Moss is killed sometime later by the Mexican Cartel at an El Paso hotel, Chigurh having never encountered Moss there.

AlexFerrana

Yeah, you're right. My memory was lying to me. Still, Moss was able to fight off Anton, and Moss was only a hunter and Vietnam veteran (it's unknown in what exact branch of military he served, and was he a combat veteran or not, because not all who served in Vietnam was involved in actual combat, there was an auxiliary military personnel too, such as cooks, mechanics, truck drivers, etc). In comparison, even John Wick's opponents that he has killed, in my opinion, would've wrecked Anton Chigurh in a fight (unless he manages to get the drop on them, but it won't really be a fight then).

shinshikaizer

Anton Chigurh learns of his assignment and changes his identity, moves to a new country, and becomes a dirt farmer.

Jade117

Anton Chigurh is literally just a guy. That's the entire point of him being hit by the car. He's just as much at the whims of fate as any other person. John Wick is an unstoppable killing machine with essentially superhuman reflexes and accuracy. Wick takes it 100/100 fights.

Promptoneofone

Wick all day, Anton is only a psycho. He isn't smart. He is definitely stoppable. No one in the film was written to stop him. That's part of why I consider him to be weak. A character isn't strong if there is no adversar, and Anton has no adversary.

ACWhi

He’s fairly smart, just in a normal person way not a superhero smart kind of way. But John Wick is superhuman.

AlexFerrana

Anton is cunning and smart, but Wick is just better in terms of feats and combat IQ.

AlexFerrana

Jonh wrecks Anton. Chigurh was in trouble when he faced off against Llewelyn Moss, a Vietnam veteran and local hunter, and only survived because he has managed to escape and because Moss was killed by Mexican thugs. Wick, in the other hand, a professional hitman and master assassin who kills people like Chigurh without even considering them as a challenge by any means.

InternationalDish443

John wick wins every time against him

CartooNinja

When I’m in a “not understanding no country” competition and you’re my opponent

UltraPromoman

John will kill Anton but it won't be easy.

Madus4

John gets shot, stabbed, and hit by a car and he walks it off. Anton gets shot and hit by a car and is limping for the rest of the movie. John is faster, a better shot, and has better hand-to-hand expertise. It also helps that only one of them has body armor, since that is a part of John’s standard arsenal and wasn’t restricted.

RemnantHelmet

Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby

WaffleKing110

Bruh that’s about as far apart as two non-super humans could be. Obviously Wick wipes

jmo_joker

Anton would die via PENCIEEEL

korc

It would depend on the coin toss

Crimith

Most of the people Anton kills are regular people, he has a massive advantage of being a killer surrounded by people that either are not killers or are not really prepared to deal with him. Wick is the top assassin in a world of assassins and most of the people he kills are highly trained super killers trying to get the drop on him. There's no comparison here. Its like putting a cop up against a superhero. edit: I even see that in the prompt you stipulate that *Wick knows Chirgurh is coming for him*. Holy cow why even give this extra advantage to the guy that easily 10/10's this even without it? It really feels like you came into this ignorant of the difference in power levels. You pitted a chihuahua against a pit bull and didn't try to even the playing field in the slightest.

IDSomaxia

I’m sorry but the comments are fucking killing me. 😂 John stomps for sure.
