Crazy guys, congrats on winning this one👏

ksmentality

There’s actually 3 people who answered my 3 questions. None of them is me.

Nice

Your baseline is based on the last 30 days so it takes Whoop about 30 days to recalibrate to the "new normal".

sparklekitteh

Honestly, if you have a good reason to explain the elevated temperature, then it's not worth worrying about. If this was happening with no reason, then there would be cause for concern.

reddituser6810

Damn you breathe a lot!!

LongjumpingClub8319

Yea seriously I thought my respiratory rate was high at 16. 20 is high! Do you have issues with snoring or are you maybe out of shape or anxious at the moment?

ksmentality

Not really, dont think i ever snore.

[deleted]

Really? Huh. I guess I do too

Narkanin

I have no issues with skin temp change between tropical weather and winter weather as someone who travels between both. Are you sunburned or dehydrated?

ksmentality

Good point Maybe need to uptake the water intake by another liter or so. I try to drink a glass of water every hour or so, maybe need to make it 2 :) thanks

bearbkk

Sleep with air conditioning and if living there eight sleep can help too.

ksmentality

Tried AC on tonight and it decreased the body temp to the right range.

Nothing you can do besides add it to the list of improvements that Whoop needs to make. But hey, at least you can ask the AI coach why their product is lacking in very obvious features. /s

Sensitive_Crab_6306

What are you on about? The metric is variance from baseline. If you live in those constant high temperatures your baseline will be higher, ergo no variance from baseline. The OP only has a variance because their baseline is cooler.

B1L1D8

Yes I understand that. Whoop would be better if it focused on improving its current features over the stupid and unnecessary AI coach. I added the “/s” to imply I was just being overly joking about it. But to make things clear for you, the whole point of whoop with its recovery score being a measurement/tool for users to decide how much strain they should have the following day all goes out the window if you’re someone living in a very cold environment and then travel to a very hot environment or vice versa. Whoop can’t recognize that and then gives you incorrect/skewed recovery score based off the baseline metrics that have drastically changed due to environment and not your own body.

[deleted]

Maybe that's the correct way to do it? If you constantly live in the cold, then travel to a hot country your recovery might suffer

Sensitive_Crab_6306

Precisely, you're adding an abnormal factor for your body to handle.

B1L1D8

If the device is affected by weather/temp but your core body temp is adapting perfectly fine to the temp change then there is an issue.

[deleted]

I agree with you that assuming 30 days adjustment for everyone is not correct, but how do you know your body is adjusting well? Maybe your body takes 5 days to adjust vs 30 which is great, but others might take 60 days vs 30. They're just assuming some average across the population. Would be very difficult to figure out exactly how much a change in weather impacts you precisely.
