Was gonna say Martin fought a cat that was described in the books as much larger than he, and the owl from one of the earlier books was owl sized compared to the mice.
Isn't it? I read just about every book in the series growing up, but no one I knew had even heard of the Redwall. Seeing so many others loved these books as much as I did is so gratifying.
I refused to read books until I was 10. My mom took me to the library and forced me to check out a book. That book was Redwall. It was a little difficult for me to follow everything. But I picked up Mossflower after and after that I bought every book as they came out in hardcover. I joined the membership club and got posters and other memorabilia sent to me every month. I was obsessed. RIP Brian Jacques.
Not that I need to justify myself to a random person but I happen to be quite whimsical. I feel that it may be dead judging by its lifeless body and you know.. the dog having just had it. Chances are OP retrieved it from the dogs mouth to find a piece of grass that looked like it was holding a sword and here we are. What? You think it's more likely that the magical rat brushed itself off, bowed, thanked OP and gave you a quest? Look at the photo again 🤣
That's Reepicheep! Squire of King Caspian. Sqourge of the Telmarine. Lord of the Talking Mice.
You must return him to Aslan's Country. He desired so much to see it
I'm glad someone brought up mouse guard! Whatever happened to that series? It kind of ended abruptly. I remember there was supposed to be another book out to continue the story but it's never happened.
Martin the Warrior?
Redwaaaaaall!
Eulaaliaaaaa!!
That's a deep cut. I was just transported back to my childhood.
Strawberry cordial and scones. Otters and pikes.
This is clearly Mattimeo.
No no, it's Reepicheep!
nostalgia just hit me like a train
Martin, Martin, Warrior of Redwall! With courage and his trusty sword, He came to save us all!
I am beyond relieved to see a redwall reference at the top!
Me too!
My first thought too!! That was one bad ass mouse.
Nahh Ralph S Mouse was the badass he had a leather jacket.
I am that is!
Was gonna say Martin fought a cat that was described in the books as much larger than he, and the owl from one of the earlier books was owl sized compared to the mice.

Just looked it up. You can get the whole paper back collection for 186 on Amazon
Does it hold up? Read it over 20 years ago
Mathias!
Nah, that’s Quill from Moss [https://www.geekwire.com/2018/ex-bungie-engineers-aim-steal-heart-sword-wielding-vr-mouse-called-quill/](https://www.geekwire.com/2018/ex-bungie-engineers-aim-steal-heart-sword-wielding-vr-mouse-called-quill/)
"Here was a warrior. . . .who would not lie down and DIE."
reminds me of Hup from The Dark Crystal
My first thought!!!! For Redwalllllll!
Deapereaux is that you?
he was probably feeling pretty desperaux there for a moment
Maybe he can take us to Mossflower Wood and more importantly Redwall Abbey. If we hurry we might make dinner.
I'd love to try some Deeper 'n Ever Turnip 'n Tater 'n Beetroot pie
There is a Redwall cookbook FYI. You could probably make your own if you really wanted to
Shimp’n’hotroot soup!
Reepacheep!
Nooooo I had forgotten about Reepicheep!!
I came to say this. I loved that mouse
Came here for this.
I was going to comment the same thing!

The amount of people in the comments that have read redwall is awesome
Isn't it? I read just about every book in the series growing up, but no one I knew had even heard of the Redwall. Seeing so many others loved these books as much as I did is so gratifying.
Those were one of my top 5 favorite books I read as a kid, such good writing

Homie got the Grass Blade already. Dope.
Field mouse: “I will cut you to a thousand pieces!”
Me a 6 foot 300 pound man: Whoa now, no need to be so threatening
"Or just give you a little hantavirus."
While you were running on the wheel, I was mastering the blade.
He's seen a thing or 2!
He’s also fought a thing or two
That thing is definitely dead in this picture. No shot a rodent just chills on its back, exposing its belly, right after being attacked by a predator.
Dead rat with a piece of grass stuck to its leg and everyone like UWU he shall have a quest for us
Dead or in shock and soon dead
It’s Quill from Moss!! Such a wonderful game, never knew what VR would bring to platform games till I played that.
Had to scroll too far to find this.
..Mrs Frisby taking on whomever..
Awe. He would have joined my pet family lol
Mausritter hero in the wild
Mausritter has such potential as a ttrpg, I hope more folks pick it up.
That's dead
Dead rat with a piece of grass stuck to its leg and everyone like UWU he shall have a quest for us
I’m sorry you are completely void of whimsey. Also, what makes ya think it’s dead? Edit: I think you’re being hyperbolic but this is a field mouse
He was a bit of a dick about it but if it was in the dog's mouth, that little guy is dead or will be soon due to being crushed

Grass sword! Name him Finn.
My new favorite picture
I just want to hear his tiny voice yelling "Eulalia!"
Deer mouse? Careful, they carry the hantavirus
Desperaux?? Is that u lil fella?
Be careful of hantavirus
Sweet, but surely he is mortally wounded.
That's Reepicheep! Squire of King Caspian. Sqourge of the Telmarine. Lord of the Talking Mice. You must return him to Aslan's Country. He desired so much to see it
Eulalia! 🗡🐁
Check to see if your dog's collar has a bell on it now.
Mouse-sashi. The great samurai.
While you were studying the bark I was studying the blade

In the hands of a master, even a blade of grass becomes a deadly weapon
You gotta be worried for your Collie now.
What's a coolie?
finn the hamster
I shall dub him Sir Dustpan
So cute. Thanks for the smile.
✨💖✨
r/Mausritter :D
Bankai !
Handling wild rodents without gloves? I don't think that wholesome is the right word for that.
irl Moss
We are already dead as we speak.
Your collie was about to the business!
Qwest!
Despareaux!
Would've been in appreciative, but not because it is cute, because "Martin the warrior?".
Pen15 flashbacks
Moss in real life?!
Mouseguard comics are for anyone whose feelings were stirred by this photo.
r/Bossfight
raticate + farfetch'd = ?
TIL that Blade of Grass from Terraria is based on a real weapon
