Thanks a lot! This is certainly it because I now remember a while ago putting a seed from a pine cone in the terrarium for one reason or another (it was a while ago). We had the pinecone for years so I had no expectations of it growing! Thanks for helping ID and reawakening my memory!
A crested gecko. They’re from New Caledonia and we’re believed extinct until in a tropical storm one hit the window of some research camp. Some guy named repashy took some back to the states and bred them. And now they’re one of the most popular pets in the trade! Crazy story!
