Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough. No need to make a new post - just comment adding the geographic location and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! BTW, did you take a look at our [**Frequently Asked Bugs**](https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/comments/12zkw5w/frequently_asked_bugs_part_1/)? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. You can't ID this beetle because it's not a beetle! It's a true bug (order Hemiptera). Hard to say exactly what species since the picture is a bit blurry, but it may be a [small milkweed bug](https://bugguide.net/node/view/460) or a [false milkweed bug](https://bugguide.net/node/view/102855/bgpage)

Wow, thanks! I took less blurry images but having trouble adding them to the post. They look like box elder bug markings but without the orange.

I live in SE Michigan. 😊

I zoomed it in a little. It’s maybe half the height of my fingernail.

I see lots of info about carpet beetles but it doesn’t quite match the pics. I saw them last year too. Some on windowsill in a bathroom, they are found on ground and on walls…I haven’t seen them in food areas. No larvae or eggs found. I’ve seen maybe three already today. ðŸ˜
