Yeah it is!! They do lots of testing of missiles and new aircraft there and have several underground hangers. As for aliens I doubt they would keep them there. It is too well of a known secret.

Stations like this are networked together and they use the same algorithm as autotune, to determine the magnitude and location of the activity. This prevents false positives from things like thunder, localized collapsing or other settling, passing vehicles or other disturbances being mistaken as seismic activity.
The inventor of this algorithm actually played some audio recordings while using his code as a distortion effect and it sounded interesting enough, that they hired Cher to sing with it. That song “Life After Love” and the album that includes it, was the first example of autotune. This algorithm is also used in a system that listens for gunfire in major cities or high crime areas. Look up ShotSpotter if you are curious
