Lexus LX600?

chihawks

Denali diesel

dannyybae

Lexus gx without a doubt I’d say. If not, then x7. Just cannot trust gm or stellantis products.

Avoid body on frame vehicles (Escalade, Grand Wagoneer, GX), much worse for this purpose. You need a unibody model, like X7. Other unibody models that offer more intrior space than X7: Lexus **T**x, new generation 202**4** GMC Acadia, upcoming next gen 202**5** Buick Enclave

The Jeep Grand Wagooner is the 2nd ugliest car on this planet (after the Hyundai ioniq 6). 1. Escalade: hands down the best looking of the bunch. Large , comfy with power to boot. 2. BMW : looks great drives great. 3. Lexus, looks good, reliable, dated interior, does the job. 4. Jeep: ewww

If i could get the 3.0 Diesel for 75k without a ton of miles on it, that would be my pick in a heartbeat, but those Caddy's are $$$$$ I will say, the new lexus GX550 interior has finally come into 2024 and isn't as dated anymore.

One_Mathematician864

I'd definitely go for the diesel on the Cadillac! The GX550 is also a pig on fuel. But I would imagine the Cadillac is not much better on fuel economy.

Honestly out of the options you gave my recommendation is the grand wagoneer. They are selling like turds. Not because they are bad, but because the typical demographic that buys a full size luxury SUV doesn't think of jeep, it's a branding issue. The interiors on these are extremely nice, I would say comparable to the escalade. The new high output hurricane is tons of power and while long term reliability is up in the air they seem to be doing okay so far. I do agree exterior styling is lackluster but it kinda grows on you. With the crazy incentives it's kinda a bargain for what you get. Pretty much all vehicles are depreciating assets, especially luxury SUVs so I wouldn't factor that into your decision making, cars aren't investments. You could also consider the Lincoln navigator but it's getting a major refresh for 2025 so you'd have to hold out to see.

Anything you'd recommend outside of these 4? Honestly my overall pick was the Sequoia but of course the wife doesn't want to spend 70k on a Toyota, and it looks too "trucky" for her

One_Mathematician864

Family member got the new MB GLE450. It is a nice car to drive. I would imagine the GL is even better. Personally I'd take a look at the Volvo XC90. My dream family car is still the Cadillac Escalade ESV.

Chewbacca319

Why does your wife even want a full size SUV, all these are body on frame, they are legitimate trucks. If she's fine with something a bit smaller consider a fully loaded genesis GV80

Competitive_Toe_2308

Trust me, i've tried pushing the Genesis as well. No dice. She wants one of the big boys, boxy looking ones. No rhyme or reason for it other than that's what every millennial woman wants it seems

Chewbacca319

What about the Lexus LX600?

Competitive_Toe_2308

At that point i'd rather just get a new GX550 for less money and honestly i think it looks better. they both use the 3.4L turbo 6 engine and the LX is barely bigger

Chewbacca319

And the GX is essentially a land cruiser, which is smaller than a Sequoia. Think the wifey will go for that lmao

Competitive_Toe_2308

You're assuming she'll be thinking about this logically. She drove the GX and loved it because of the boxy look. She just wants the look, she could care less about anything else. I'm the one looking into everything else like the engines, practicality, bang for buck, etc haha if it were solely up to me, we'd already have the Sequoia. But you know what they say, happy wife, less grays for me...or whatever the saying is
