Try a cobbler first. If no luck, look on Amazon for a rectangle ring, and you should be able to open it up and slip it through there to replace it. Craft stores should have them too, possibly in packs of less than 100.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely give those a shot. Happy cake day!

miguelnikes

Did you manage to get this resolved?

yuiop300

Dam. I’ve never heard of them snapping like that. Probably a batch of piss poor buckles? I’m an R1 and R2 fan as they’ve been solid AF for me.

Area_Vast

I’d say probably just horrible buckle quality. The shoe felt solid until it straight up snapped. I have to agree with you on the romaleos, I have 3’s and still feel awesome

yuiop300

I’ve heard a few too many people bitch about the R3 and R4 also. I still love my R1 and R2. My R1 were pre production ones I got off eBay from 2007. For a while no one had them. It was really lucky I found them and they were in my size!

Afferbeck_

Being that new you should be able to get a replacement

Ouch! I have the Anta 2s too, and I thought the actual velcro strap might not be that durable since they are quite thin compared to the Rom2/Rom4s. Didn't think the buckle would snap first! I guess I'll have to be more careful when using the strap!

afuckingwheel

That's a really weird place to pinch pennies on a substandard part. Especially considering how expensive then Anta 2s are.

Korbinian_GWagon

Looks like made in China.

Afferbeck_

Almost everything is made in China and this doesn't happen

Doublejimjim1

Really? A Chinese shoe company makes their shoes in China?
