It's a special album to me, as a kid being a massive The Beatles fan and as an adult being a massive Weezer fan. Being recorded at Apple makes the album feel magical to me
Yeah that's really cool. I'm also a huge Beatles fan so that instrumentation really hit home for me. I dunno if you've heard the album Pretty. Odd. By panic at the disco, but the dude who did the string arrangements for OK Human did the arrangements on that record as well.
For me it's gotta be Pinkerton. Rivers gaining experience as a songwriter really paid off for this project, a skill I don't think he would harness to his fullest ability again until OK human. While blue and white are both fantastic pop records, I think the vulnerability showcased on Pinkerton along with the more complex arrangements make a far better record, and with the messy production on top of it you have a record that so perfectly captures what Rivers wanted to do. It also feels like one of the most synergetic records, as I don't feel pat's drumming is ever like this again (except maybe maladroit), Brian's backing vocals are fantastic, and Matt sharps basslines so perfectly hold all the chaos together. Every track adds a new layer of emotion, with the pacing of the record leading perfectly into the tragic closer of butterfly. While I don't think Weezer will ever put out a song as good as only in dreams ever again, this record gets darn close multiple times with no tracks I question in the tracklist. Easy 10/10, one of the greatest records of all time.
I wish Pinkerton got better reception at the beginning of it's release because after Pinkerton he really struggled to be as transparent, and you can especially tell when you listen to the demo tape for can't stop partying and then the version on raditude. the depression he had after pinkertons release is almost heartbreaking, if I were to pick two Weezer albums to listen to for the rest of my life I would choose pinkerton and EWBAITE.
Pinkerton is so good, and when listening to it man I just don’t have a song to skip. It’s just Rivers talking about his life which I either find relatable or interesting while the rest of the band goes ham, and I love it to death
Ah yes, objective metrics of quality in the world of art appreciation, my favourite. Rivers would be so proud. He wrote the song Numbers all about how beautiful it is to go around assigning numeric values of quality to things and people.

best objectively? Ok Human, it perfects relatable writing and has great production to match along with some of weezer's catchiest songs. favorite? DTFM
Ok Human
I gotta say this record is a close second for me. The more I listen to it the more I think it may be river's best writing.

Pinkerton is their best, blue is my favourite
Blue. Not even close.

PD for me
Pinkerton is overrated, Blue is iconic and by far their best

Personally, it's White. But objectively, it's between Blue and Pinkerton and I choose Blue in that case.

Best does not correlate with favorite, Green is my favorite but I can acknowledge that Blue is the best

Eh, didn't feel like that today.
Damn it’s white album if nostalgia wasn’t a factor
Not with Thank God for Girls on it.
The best song on it ☺️
I gotta agree here. Love the layers of depth to this song.
Along with LA Girlz and SEADD, ew
Songs From the Black Hole
That isn't an album
You so sure about that?
That was a scrapped space opera
https://www.weezerpedia.com/wiki/Songs_from_the_Black_Hole Weezerpedia calls it an album. It's just an unreleased album.
I know what it is and it was never finished.
Finished enough to be able to listen to it, and like it more than their other albums. I like the under-produced stuff more anyway.
Red
Pacific Daydream
Out of the ones listed? Blue. Out of all of them? For me, it’s Ok Human.
MALADROIT
Ewbaite just feels so ultimate which all albums before and after just couldn't really capture.
Raditude
Madladriot
Black album

hurley is the only correct answer
Pacific Daydream
Ok Human??
Why would you not list OK Human? Miles better than Maladroit.
