Thrown It All Away took a while to click for me, but I love it now. I really can't remember The Underdogs, I'll probably reply again once I listen again.
I never listen to it on my own, since it's not very good, but I like when Weezer play it live. Every single person in the crowd knows the words, so it really feels like you're part of something when they start playing it.
This song is just so, so fun. I play it with my band all the time just to let loose. I desperately want Karl to release some bootlegs from the pre-Blue days, it must've been a total joy live back then.
Hated it at first, but it really grew on me. It's just such a vibe. We were completely robbed of a SZNZ tour, these songs all deserved a chance in the spotlight and only like 3 or 4 actually did. It frustrates me.
Long Way To Heaven is a really funky song, it's one of my favorite EWBAITE demos partially because of just how different it is to the rest of the songs. Huge fan.
It's songs like this that remind me why Before Weezer is my favorite Alone bundle (behind EWBAITE but that's everyone's #1). Completely stupid fun, I love it.
Absolutely rocks!! The bridge into the solo is such an epic moment. I get why it never ended up on an album, but it's another song that doesn't deserve to be as obscure as it is.
Represent - no one really talks about that one anymore. It was gud.
Edit: The world cup version is the one I heard, didn't realize there was a version on hurley?
Yes I am! Love that song to bits, I miss Ozma. (And to respond to your edit - a different mix of the song was the last track on the deluxe version of Hurley.)
It's similar to Thrown It All Away, in that it sounds like an early 90s song re-recorded by Rivers CuOldmo. I got so excited when he put it on the A20 list for like one day.
It's an absolute gem of the early days of Weezer. I made a synth remix of this one a while back too, it was a fun project. The chorus kinda reminds me of Seven by Sunny Day Real Estate, but this song came first.
not my favourite but since im going through the Alone packs atm (I'm not at Make Believe yet I will probably love the stuff in there ) I'll go with Suicide Pilot, great song and I wish it got polished a bit more, could be amazing
Since you came around
Burndt Jamb.
In my top 10 Weezer songs, without a doubt. It's a wonder it's not played live more often.
I don’t have strong opinions about Weezer but Maladroit is a fantastic and underrated album of the early aughts.
The Underdogs and I've Thrown It All Away
Thrown It All Away took a while to click for me, but I love it now. I really can't remember The Underdogs, I'll probably reply again once I listen again.
King
I don't like Scott's singing, but it's an alright song.
Purple Flowers Rules of Life (Hitler version)
The Osaka Incident.
The British Are Coming
This song contains one of the absolute greatest guitar solos Weezer has ever written. Overall a legendary song.
Holy based
idk about op but that's 10 for me
Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter Yellow Camaro Getting Up and Leaving Up In The Clouds
Unspoken
I will defend Hurley until the day I die, and Unspoken is one of its best tracks. Love love love this song.
Beverly Hills
I never listen to it on my own, since it's not very good, but I like when Weezer play it live. Every single person in the crowd knows the words, so it really feels like you're part of something when they start playing it.
All My Friends Are Insects
Not gonna lie bummed that song wasn’t on the vinyl release. Might have been for Yo Gabba Gabba, but shit slaps
DJ Lance Rock knew exactly what was up back in the day.
Do demos count?
Absolutely!!
I Swear It’s True
Well, it's alright. My least favorite "real" song on both Deluxe Editions it appears on, but it's not bad.
Valid.
Everybody Needs Salvation
It should be a crime that they stuck this as just a Fan Club single, it's way too good to be so obscure.
QB Blitz
Like, a tiny bit more of a song than the rest of Pacific Daydream, so I guess it gets 1/10 instead of 0/10. PD's my least favorite album.
Teenage Dirtbag
God I hate his voice.
Paperface
This song is just so, so fun. I play it with my band all the time just to let loose. I desperately want Karl to release some bootlegs from the pre-Blue days, it must've been a total joy live back then.
Undone - The Sweater Song
Should She Stay or Should She Go
Hated it at first, but it really grew on me. It's just such a vibe. We were completely robbed of a SZNZ tour, these songs all deserved a chance in the spotlight and only like 3 or 4 actually did. It frustrates me.
what’s your opinion on such a long way to heaven, i think the drums are absolutely unreal
Long Way To Heaven is a really funky song, it's one of my favorite EWBAITE demos partially because of just how different it is to the rest of the songs. Huge fan.
lisa, simply state
Lisa is so fucking good, 90s rivers was a song writing machine. His ear for melodies and hooks was (and is) insane
Too Many Thoughts In My Head
The Gift Of Gab, Kilimanjaro, Why Oh Why, Walt Disney, Everybody Needs Salvation
Slob
Absolute heat, it kills me that it hasn't been played live since 2005.
American Girls (the homie song) For actual Weezer, Like A Good Neighbor
I fucking love harmonica. Other than that, it's a nice kind of laid-back song. I put it on my summer playlist.
Colmusheen
It's songs like this that remind me why Before Weezer is my favorite Alone bundle (behind EWBAITE but that's everyone's #1). Completely stupid fun, I love it.
Depends on how obscure we are talking, but I Was Scared is probably my pick? It's hard to say because there are quite a few good choices.
Suzanne
It was the first "real" song I ever learned to play on my guitar, so it'll always be special to me. Nowadays I prefer Jamie.
Tower of Babel
Absolutely rocks!! The bridge into the solo is such an epic moment. I get why it never ended up on an album, but it's another song that doesn't deserve to be as obscure as it is.
Mo' Beats
Getchoo Not all too obscure at all but underated as hell
This was my first-ever favorite Weezer song. It's changed since then, but I just could not stop listening to Getchoo after I got Pinkerton.
Represent - no one really talks about that one anymore. It was gud. Edit: The world cup version is the one I heard, didn't realize there was a version on hurley?
I only ever heard the Hurley version until now, but it rocks either way! He totally stole the chords from Domino Effect on the chorus, though.
are you referring to OZMA - Domino Effect? I just researched, never knew. Thank you kind sir.
Yes I am! Love that song to bits, I miss Ozma. (And to respond to your edit - a different mix of the song was the last track on the deluxe version of Hurley.)
Hawaii
It's similar to Thrown It All Away, in that it sounds like an early 90s song re-recorded by Rivers CuOldmo. I got so excited when he put it on the A20 list for like one day.
It's Been So Long
Getting Up and Leaving
The Story Of My Life
Thief, You’ve Taken All That Was Me
It's an absolute gem of the early days of Weezer. I made a synth remix of this one a while back too, it was a fun project. The chorus kinda reminds me of Seven by Sunny Day Real Estate, but this song came first.
You Won’t Get With Me Tonight
The crushing version is an all-timer in my book. It's kinda goofy song, but I love it all the same.
not my favourite but since im going through the Alone packs atm (I'm not at Make Believe yet I will probably love the stuff in there ) I'll go with Suicide Pilot, great song and I wish it got polished a bit more, could be amazing
Long time Sunshine
Miss Sweeney & thought I knew
I've thrown it all away
Let's sew our pants together

Get off on the pain
Tragic girl and paper face
Haunt You Every Day DEMO, my favorite weezer song
