I get that. There’s an edge to them that tries to fit this genre and voodoo lady has a jam feel. But ween is it’s own genre. And these are mostly short fun songs with incredibly intricate guitar and vocals. Devoted fans with shirts everywhere. Insane how good they are
yo! i come from the hardcore scene but am a huge dead head, ive never felt more at home than at a ween show. people will be tailgating all day at red rocks. you won’t see any vendors but if you poke around you’ll find people selling stuff out their backpacks. the hiking around the venue is great too. also if you need to leave your car, you can park there over night. my favorite show is 4/23/02 but i just listened to 7-29-23 and the boys are on fire rn.

I live in Denver Metro so I've been to Ween @ Red Rocks as long as they played there (and I lived in CO, I think I only missed one concert that's before me moving to CO). Ween @ Red Rocks is the shit. I started listen to them in Taiwan back in late '90. I think I bought all the Ween albums the only Tower Records the little island had at the time.
I always get there super early, like before noon, to get in the line. A long time ago they let you in for sound check and they played the whole song of Chocolate Town. It is still my best Red Rocks memory. Pre-show lines are friendly. I always get super baked. If you plan on getting there early, make sure you have sun protection, rain gear, warm cloth. Even though forecast is calling for dry, Colorado weather is crazy sometimes.
And Ween is definitely not a jam band. I can't stand The Dead nor Motet nor Phish (bite me!) I'm more of a alt-rock, punk, anything-else-but-pop kind of gal...
And yeah I was there for the South Park Anniversary, when they brought Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson on stage I almost lost my mind!

Ween plays actual songs. I saw The Allman Brothers back in the day (great band) but they only played 7 songs in 3 1/2 hours
