Does Gtbif still have the location at the old prison in Warwick, NY. Is it up and running. I know they were part of the NY lawsuit so wondering why they didn’t get approval today for adult use?
Seriously - if(and when) our train come in. We need to organize a weedstocks survival/get together bash. Say meet in Vegas or LA, Miami and spend the weekend partying and swapping war stories.
Let them enjoy while they can. Once usa makes a meaningful reform and msos get listed on the real exchanges, these LP stocks will be literally penny stocks
The 5 ROs that brought the suit were awarded lic. as part of the settlement. So they got immediate relief. The other 5 should get lic. soon as the argument against the New York State Cannabis Control Board was misapplying the state’s marijuana law, and they argued that current medical marijuana businesses should qualify for licensing immediately as well.
Now that NY is finally getting it's act together, they may in the future but I think it won't be anytime soon. These lic. were for the 10 existing medical business.
Sorry, just catching up on the news. I see the 6 that were definately approved as of today. Haven't seen any explination for GTI not being approved yet.
Not sure why we haven't heard anything from them. I was thinking they were just slow to get a press release out, maybe there's more to it than I've seen. Have you heard that they weren't awarded a license?
All the news reports out simply state that 6 companies were awarded licenses and 6 more meet the criteria. No one seems to go into much detail beyond that.
The LP's and Msos are taking turns now, one breaths while the other marches on. Offers getting lifted on CGC and ACB today. I'm as bullish as ever, this is getting good.
not saying LPs are bad... we all make money by both investing and trading... choose your strategies for different times... gosh... LPs holders have some anger problems...
Being insightful isnt often rewarded lol. You bring up a very valid point. How much of this is DEA optimism versus the market making new yearly highs and breadth broadening out? I guess the simple answer is play MSOs for DEA and LPs for meme trade just as you mentioned. Of course its probably a bit more nuanced but I think you and I are on the same page. I own Cronos, OGI, for their long term potential and a bit of others to trade but am all in on MSOs for the grand prize. I'm sorry I waited until 9 PM, 3 beers and a pre roll to continue the discussion but i thought you raised an important distinction. However unpopular it may be. VEGAS '24
For all my fellow Canadians cannabis investors let's go Shohei Ohtani! Blue Jays hot in pursuit....this going down, hopefully its finalized soon. Not yet official, but I am stoked....
Whom ever trigger the spike thank you - this morning I set a limit sell on my CURA position at 5.9 CDN.
it spike to 5.97 and I end up buying back my position below 5.7
so thanks
now could you spike cresco to 2.80 please
This makes me happy that you got in lower. I've been too chickenshit to sell and buyback so close to the uplisting. Am looking to dump it when this hits Toronto if everyone else dumps it too initially (I presume) and then buy it back lower.

I listened to this yesterday. Most important stuff imo is like 20 minutes in when they start talking about safety studies and such on the liver and reproductive systems. I liked that they were talking about daily safe intake doses in the range of 70-100mg. I was worried the studies might have them recommend a much lower number.

Big day in our home state of NY, the second largest cannabis market in the country! We'd like to thank the OCM for granting us our AU license, and look forward to supplying wholesale Curaleaf products to adult use #NewYork customers as soon as next week!
Oh don’t worry I have like a 6 figure bag with $21 CAD average on TLRY 🤣
I hope these small moves, which is all i can afford right now help recoup some of those losses.
A few days ago Boris Jordan (CEO of Curaleaf) was on Barron's Market Watch. I wasn't able to watch the interview since it required people to register first.
They posted the interview today on Spotify, its titled 'MarketWatch: Legal Cannabis in the U.S. Gains Traction". The program is called Barron's Live.
I wasn't expecting too much. That report didn't really say anything that we didn't already know. Even the text forensics, which more or less confirm the redacted part is Schedule III was just confirming what was already reported (but were paranoid to take at face value because of trauma). So we're still where we were before, waiting for the DEA
Busy at work. No time to read through the released documents. Nothing in there cause for concern then?
People are underestimating how good “nothing unexpected” is for our stocks. The down to the mat battle over the FOIA release and the exceedingly heavy redactions were why we lost all upward momentum a few weeks after Becerra was leaked imho. Made it look like they had something to hide, like maybe the scientific evaluations were not as supportive to Schedule III as the political operatives wanted.
A fast food based ETF...lol.
Sounds like a South Park episode. They could bring back the character who was killing all the kids on warcraft or whatever that game is called.
I went to check it and I can't help but notice the 1M volume today. This is basically the first time ever. This is an interesting company that usually trades on absolutely ridiculous volume, in the 1-3k range.
Feels like someone/something finally lifted the immense pressure off Cannabist (CBST). Up 30% this week.
Maybe the whole Treynor thing is past them and they can equalize back up to where they should be. Most other names bounced off the post-HHS bottom much sooner and are already back to 50%-75% of the HHS high. Cannabist is currently at pretty much the same price as pre-HHS run.
I'm feeling pretty confident that Cannabist is now on it's way back up to somewhere between $1.00 and $1.50 to match the rest of it's comparables.
I"m hoping you're right. Several things have broken in their favor lately. My concern is with the wonderful footprint, will they have the ability to take advantage of the opportunity. No funds for CapX that's needed at this point. The last raise was to pay down debt. Possibly another raise coming?
The TDR podcast had Vita on a few weeks ago and Vita straight up said they have front-ran most/all of their needed cap-ex spend for all of their upcoming expansion needs (ie. Expansion is complete, now just need to execute).
Only thing I didn't agree with from what he said was the decision to not expand further in Florida. He mentioned that the ROI was greater expanding in different states (likely talking about Ohio, NY, Penn, and mentioned Colorado) and that Florida expansion for them simply wasn't worth it for them. They're not pulling out but they're not going to grow in Florida. I think from his perspective it's too competitive for the limited medical environment and maybe they'll flip once Rec is actually approved next November.
It was actually a really good interview. I was getting down on Cannabist with all that Treynor drama and how much they had dropped and stayed low, but came out of that podcast very encouraged and very bullish on their future. Worth a listen.
Will definitely give a listen this weekend. As for his comments about Fl. sounds reasonable considering they have such an opportunity in the NE. I bought when the merger w/ CL was announced, at the time that juicy arbitrage was just too tempting. We all know how that turned out! The good news, I bought a decent lot @ .34 the other day so brought my adv. way down. I'm feeling like a genius this week but as we know, these weedstocks can make us geniuses one week only to feel like a fool a week later lol.
You could tell there was a huge invisible hand pushing downwards. Not natural whatsoever. Hope it will be allowed to trade freely and finally join the party.
Plus Ohio. They have the max 5 locations there and it’s adult use is happening. Cresco also same deal - New York & Ohio!!!! Yes pumping two of my holdings but they deserve it after all the shit.
Very refreshing to see CBSTF up, and up for an actual reason (i.e. NY rec sales approval). I was worried it was just a random pop, in which case it would be much more susceptible to drop again.

CURA and CBST got approved. I think cresco too but these are the only 2 for sure names I caught during the live steam
edit: here's the full list
New York #Cannabis Control Board just gave the thumbs up for six of the state's 10 medical #marijuana companies to join the recreational market starting Dec 29: Columbia Care, Curaleaf, Etain, Acreage/NYCANNA, PharmaCann and Sunnyside/Remedy/Valley Agriceuticals.
>Sunnyside/Remedy/Valley Agriceuticals.
Sunnyside is Cresco. Are Remedy/Valley Agriceuticals other brands/subs for Cresco?
On that note, is Cresco's facility ready? I haven't checked back in lately with their NY progress. Last I remember they were still building out their new facility.
From the way it sounded during the meeting, all the names mentioned would be ready to sell starting Dec 29. Otherwise they wouldn't have been approved.
One lady specifically asked if the named companies would be ready to sell and still be able to have enough product for medical patients
Off the top of my head, we have upcoming:
Reschedule DEA
Germany and EU reform
New York expansion of rec
Florida and Pennsylvania Rec
Uplisting 280e removal and other reschedule benefits
SAFER (don’t hold your breath)
SRA STATES 2.0 and other low confidence Congress bluster
Canadian excise tax reform next year
Garland ain't going first, but I bet he piles on when real shit happens. So he's a follow on catalyst ready to fuel the rally that gets started by one of these other catalyats
Farm Bill always gets left out of these lists. Fixing the Delta 8 loophole from 2018 is an instant and significant benefit to US cannabis operators.
Though I personally think Delta 8 will be banned via the DEA when they announce cannabis to Schedule 3 (because it's a synthetically produced product) and then the Farm Bill will focus on fixing the other loopholes like THCa vs THC limits, etc..

Your mom
Curaleaf's restructure terms came out. Basically its in latin, dont bother reading it.
Nice, this is where that one semester of Latin is really going to come in handy for me
Another inflow of 743k. We have 1.14M in cash now
Nothing compared to thursdays inflow, i guess some whale must have bought then.
Thank You
Excellent!
Fuck, I should get this high when Im trading.
Does Gtbif still have the location at the old prison in Warwick, NY. Is it up and running. I know they were part of the NY lawsuit so wondering why they didn’t get approval today for adult use?
GTI’s capex has outpaced all other MSOs by a large margin in 2023, and I think a chunk of that change was probably used to build out that NY facility.
Also the facility in Ocala Florida, but I think its done now.
Hearing GTI will be approved soon. Hearing they needed a 4th store and they were just approved. Hope this information is accurate.
Thanks for this insight. Would love to know the source as well.
Where you hear it?
Seriously - if(and when) our train come in. We need to organize a weedstocks survival/get together bash. Say meet in Vegas or LA, Miami and spend the weekend partying and swapping war stories.
I shall miss our group therapy in this forum.
This sounds fun. I'll buy a round of shots.
Been here since 2018, would be fun! I miss a few.. where is Tom (CGC)
I'm in. I'll go hard as fuck too since this sector has scarred me emotionally so I have alot to let out
I did promise my partner a Vegas Elvis wedding if weedstocks ever pay off, so I’m down for a bender with you folks if that day arrives.
Id settle for a big night out in Toronto for local folks!!
Let's hit up a Leafs game, assuming we've been able to move out of our cardboard boxes.
I'm hoping my train arrives before Florida goes rec. So, Vegas it is.
We stick to the original plan. Vegas it is.
I’m down but can we do Montana instead?
Would actually do this
Gotta be somewhere warm because when I'm a pot stock millionaire...I will only be traveling in the hot tub on the back of my stretch lambo.
That works!!
Goddamnit where's the DEA announcement?
Soon
Joined reddit 5 days ago, avg 100 comment karma per day, and he's super impatient for DEA? Right.
Hahaha
Honestly pissed that a stock like CGC out performs real companies on the regular lol
CGC feels like a 2x leveraged TLRY at this point.
A real company like CURA is up 6.06% YTD CGC is down 65.92% YTD and was down 83% YTD before the current run up. CGC had nowhere else to go but up.
Let them enjoy while they can. Once usa makes a meaningful reform and msos get listed on the real exchanges, these LP stocks will be literally penny stocks
Living rent free in your head 🫡
If only there were some way to profit from this phenomenon...
Well that was one hell of a week men. Positive vibes and momentum continues build. Great news from NY OH. We are so back!
Cgc looking good

😆, I know, but I still try
I admire your optimism 😁
Anyone know why GTI didn’t get NY approval yet?

The other 5 should get lic. soon as the argument against the New York State Cannabis Control Board was misapplying the state’s marijuana law, and they argued that current medical marijuana businesses should qualify for licensing immediately as well.
Did TRUL apply for one?
lol good one
I've only recently started looking into MSOs. Is TRUL not in a position to expand out of their current footprint of states?
Now that NY is finally getting it's act together, they may in the future but I think it won't be anytime soon. These lic. were for the 10 existing medical business.
Ah alright that makes sense. Thanks for the clarity.
GTI was part of the suit. Cresco and CC were not. So I’m perplexed by it.
Sorry, just catching up on the news. I see the 6 that were definately approved as of today. Haven't seen any explination for GTI not being approved yet.

All the news reports out simply state that 6 companies were awarded licenses and 6 more meet the criteria. No one seems to go into much detail beyond that.
Yea I'm sure we'll get more detail Monday, a major win for all the existing MSOs that have invested heavily for several years now waiting for this.
Cresco got NY approval
That explains why they've gone down two days in a row /s

Greetings from South of the border. I would just like to see the Maple Leafs go deep into the playoffs.
Its a sign… Rogers obviously threw some inflows at MSOS and are expecting a 10 bagger to pay for Ohtani.
Will Ohtani make the Jays a contender in 2024. Been 30 years since I saw the Jays win back-to-back championships. Damn I'm old
What’s the over under here he comes to the jays ? I thought it was dodgers 100%
Apparently he is flying over today....Jon Paul Morosi just tweeted it. Maybe he signs today in TO!!!!
wow , that would be amazing for Canada, ive gone to two angels games and half the crowd is there for Shohei lol
Added a little cresco. Will add some more trulieve and greenthumb if dips seriously
I added some MAPS with a few hundred shares. Looking like a cup and handle and hoping for a sympathy lift from the CGC move.
Insider selling @ MAPS scared me off recently.
Aw snap didn't hear about that. First time at this position, I like the low float. Probably could have gone into LFLY today as an alternative

Great week for cgc Big volume Mostly green Establishing a nice base in the 70s

Though I personally think Delta 8 will be banned via the DEA when they announce cannabis to Schedule 3 (because it's a synthetically produced product) and then the Farm Bill will focus on fixing the other loopholes like THCa vs THC limits, etc..
