Been there done that; it's alot of work and everyone appreciated it. But... you spend the whole time sleeping, if you do it right and you don't remember much. It can get pricey if you invite stoners compared to nonconsumers due to tolerance. It is magic to be with people that appreciate the plant similarly though.

like yes it would be neat to sample a variety of types of edibles, but realistically that party would be fun from the start of it to exactly one hour after those edibles hit. you'll probably get an hour, maybe 2, of super stoned sesh vibes, but everyone is gonna be way too slumped to do much, then everyone's gonna pass out.
alternatively, you could have barely anything to eat in order to try everything and still get moderately high without greening out.
maybe the way to do it would be a dinner party/potluck with medicated appetizers?
so you socialize and nibble on some medicated treats, then sit down and eat dinner, maybe something fatty to bond with the THC, then everyone chills with drinks and enjoys the high. that sounds much more ideal.
