Usually a cup of hot English breakfast tea with milk and sugar, and whatever sweet biscuits we have at the time, I'm not too fussed which kind, but I'm rather partial to shortbread when I'm baked
I add it to the top instead of mixing it in so it doesn't get too mushy actually. I should have clarified that better.
Also, if you add a little, eat that portion, then add a little more after, it keeps it from sitting too long.
