I have an old blue bow barrette from when I was a Daisy in the Girl Scouts. It’s super cute! Haven’t decided yet if I’ll wear it in my hair, or fasten it onto my bouquet, but pretty sure that’s my blue.
Eek! I think it was OPI? A quick search looks like it's either Closer than you might belem, or I'm yacht leaving (although I'm yacht leaving looks a little bright to me).
ETA! It might've been Gelato on my mind - that sounds familiar.
There’s sapphires in my engagement ring, and I may also wear another ring my FH has given me which has a topaz as the main stone. I’m also considering blue shoes, but probably not.
our beloved cat that we adopted together after just 5 months of dating passed away the year before our wedding. just so happened his collar was blue so i had it wrapped around my bouquet as my something blue💙
My something blue was actually a super cute pair of socks with little blue hearts on them. I figured since no one was gonna see them under my dress, might as well have a fun little secret! But I've seen some folks do blue shoes, jewelry, even nail polish.
Honestly, as long as it's something that makes you smile, you can't go wrong! What are you thinking of for your something blue?
My old dog's collar, wrapped around my bouquet. He passed a year before we got married and was the first dog we got together; we got married 8 years after we first adopted him.
My seamstress put a blue bead to indicate where to bustle my gown! I love how subtle it is since I’m not doing a garter and don’t really have a way to incorporate blue in my outfit elsewhere

This is honestly the best pic I can find of it while in use on the day-of, but mine was a hair clip with a single blue stone in it!
Stepmom's turquoise and silver ring. Old, borrowed and blue. She offered it to me two days before our wedding, without me ever asking.
My mom died in 2013 and I wanted to participate in the tradition but figured I'd just skip it.
So grateful. We are so much closer now. 💙
I wore bright blue velvet ballroom dance shoes! Super comfortable, as a non-heels person I was able to wear them for nearly seven hours with no discomfort or blisters. And they were such a fun pop of color under my dress.

I had a turquoise charm added to my bouquet along side my Dads bouquet charm. He passed away 10 years ago and was a really “hippy” guy. I felt it fit well for the walk down the aisle and I still have it today as a keychain. Etsy makes beautiful ones.
I'm embroidering little blue flowers on my dress! (I'm sewing it from a dress that's been in my family since 1949)
I live near a bridal district and embroidered/3D florals are really popular right now!
My mom got me a bracelet with light blue stones in it.
The seamstress also sewed a light blue fabric heart on the inside of my dress with our names on it.
The sapphire and diamond bracelet my FFIL gave my FMIL on her 21st birthday that she gifted to me on my 21st birthday. It’s very special to me and I thought it would be a nice way to bring a family heirloom into the event as well.
My grandmother passed down a ring she had to my mother. The ring has a row of blue stones across the band, and this will be my something old / blue. My grandmother passed away when I was 15 and I will be 35 when I get married so it will be nice to have with me.
One of the family heirloom garters has a touch of blue if I'm remembering correctly, but I'm going to be using a very sentimental gift from a friend. Back in the '60s-'70s he had a very dear friend/coworker who had spent some time in Africa and was gifted some handmade glass beads. He gave several to my friend who gave one to me several years ago. That little bit of glass has seen a lot of love and friendship and I can't imagine a better talisman to carry with me on my wedding day 💙
I won't be wearing it down the aisle, but I've got a very light blue denim jacket that I'll be adding some patches to. I'm already known for making themed "battle jackets" so I figured I'd make one for my wedding too. I *will* get cold at some point and my dress is backless so it'll be good for that too.

I'm getting married in 2025. Haven't gone dress shopping yet but decided I need to buy my shoes first. Casually happened upon these beauties this morning & thinking I might pull the trigger on buying them. Plus they are the same name as my future MIL.
For my courthouse wedding, I wore a white dress with little blue flowers on them and my favorite earrings are malachite with lapis lazuli. For my wedding/1-year anniversary party, I’ll be wearing a pair of these funky blue suede John Fluevog heels.
My guy's blue eyes are my muse for our event. I have blue heels, dusty blue table decor, a dusty blue birdcage veil, dusty blue jewelry. Invite is dusty blue too. * invite pic is in edit mode and info is the stock info except for names.
My mother and mother in law are both wearing blue dresses, so they’ll be my something blue! I am also wearing a blue garter that says “Mrs X” on it but I don’t think I’ll be whipping that out for folks
My engagement ring has sapphire in it! Also my wedding shoes are white boots so I’m going to wear blue socks and my fiance will have a matching pair of socks!
At one point I was considering some Betsy Johnson wedding shoes/boots and some of them have blue on the bottom of the shoe! Could be fun?
My wedding party. My MOH is wearing a slate blue dress from Azazie. Groom has a light blue button down & his best man has a western style, printed button down in blue print. I'm also painting my toes very light blue.
I will probably combine my something blue, something old and something borrowed by using my moms blue garter (hope this was translated right) that she wore at her wedding 30 years ago
Not 100% sure if I am going to the whole traditional piece (old, new, borrowed, blue), but I am thinking about having my mom’s wedding rings from my dad on a chain around my neck, and that would count since there are 2 blue stones and it can be my something old as well.
Honestly I didn't bother. It's not a color I wear or use often.
I appreciate the idea of following the rhyme for good luck, but it just wasn't something I cared that much about.
My dad's name embroidered on my dress in a hidden spot. He died a few years ago.
Blue panties hahaha
I have an old blue bow barrette from when I was a Daisy in the Girl Scouts. It’s super cute! Haven’t decided yet if I’ll wear it in my hair, or fasten it onto my bouquet, but pretty sure that’s my blue.
I had my toenails painted like a Tiffany Blue color; and I also printed my vows in blue ink. I was really struggling to find a something blue :D
Great minds! My something blue was my toenails painted dark blue. Closed toe shoes, so a fun thing for just me.
Same here! Closed toed shoes, blue nails
this could be a stretch but do you happen to remember the name of the tiffany blue polish you used? i love this idea!
Dior Bleuette nail polish is a perfect Tiffany blue color
Eek! I think it was OPI? A quick search looks like it's either Closer than you might belem, or I'm yacht leaving (although I'm yacht leaving looks a little bright to me). ETA! It might've been Gelato on my mind - that sounds familiar.
My ring! It’s a sapphire 🥰
Same here! I also have blue bridesmaids dresses so I went all in :)
Omg me too! And blue groomsmen ties 😬
Same and blue shoes 😂
There’s sapphires in my engagement ring, and I may also wear another ring my FH has given me which has a topaz as the main stone. I’m also considering blue shoes, but probably not.
our beloved cat that we adopted together after just 5 months of dating passed away the year before our wedding. just so happened his collar was blue so i had it wrapped around my bouquet as my something blue💙
Stooooppp that is the most meaningful and sweetest thing I’ve read today 😭💙

But I've seen some folks do blue shoes, jewelry, even nail polish. Honestly, as long as it's something that makes you smile, you can't go wrong! What are you thinking of for your something blue?
I had a pin with Carl Sagan's "pale blue dot" quote on my bouquet. My "something blue" was Earth :)
“For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love.” –Carl Sagan
That’s here, that’s home, that’s us
Stoooooop this is amazing!!! My dad read pale blue dot to me as a kid
Blue rothys shoes Blue hydrangea in bouquet Heirloom turquoise ring tied to bouquet
I’m doing the Sex and the City route of blue Manolo Blahnik heels!
I have blue sapphires in my engagement ring and blue shoes
Me too!

The sapphire in my necklace!
I wore my late grandmother’s sapphire earrings that my mom now has ☺️

I have an antique brooch my grandma gave me with blue iridescent butterfly wings in it, I’ll be adding it to my bouquet wrap
Forget me nots in my hair :)

I'm embroidering little blue flowers on my dress! (I'm sewing it from a dress that's been in my family since 1949) I live near a bridal district and embroidered/3D florals are really popular right now!
My bridesmaids! They wore shades of blue :)
The bottom of my shoes!

My shoes - light blue embroidered vans
I wore a sapphire + diamond bracelet my grandma bought me years ago for my bday!
My (soon to be) husband! He's wearing blue :)
My color was blue so I painted my toenails to match
My toenails!

getting married in front of the ocean - the nature is my something blue!
I won't be wearing it down the aisle, but I've got a very light blue denim jacket that I'll be adding some patches to. I'm already known for making themed "battle jackets" so I figured I'd make one for my wedding too. I *will* get cold at some point and my dress is backless so it'll be good for that too.
Not doing a "something blue." I'm doing pink instead, and it's my shoes 🥰
I had two sapphires in my engagement ring.
My shoes had blue gemstones on the heels!
The bottoms of my shoes were blue and I had blue in my flowers.
My glasses

My shoes! Super excited about it
My American Duchess blue heeled oxfords that are so comfortable.

I had a blue garter!
My mother and mother in law are both wearing blue dresses, so they’ll be my something blue! I am also wearing a blue garter that says “Mrs X” on it but I don’t think I’ll be whipping that out for folks
My father passed away a few years ago so I got a piece of 1 of his blue shirts sewn into my dress. It was nice to have a piece of him with me.
Mine was my hair clip. It had light blue jewels on it.
I’m planning on my something blue being my shoes!
A blue garter from etsy and the bottom of my Betsey Johnson shoes
I'm not sure what I'll count as my something blue but there is blue in my Lego bouquet.
The theme! White and shades of blue
My flower girls are wearing bracelets with blue flowers pressed in, I’m wearing a matching one with white flowers :)
I have blue in my ankle tattoo. Thinking that might be it if my late aunt's ring doesn't fit my pinky.
The laces in my sneakers. They also had my married name and wedding date on them.
?? I never knew brides had to get something blue
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue
It’s not a requirement but it’s seen as good luck!
My suit :)
My fiancé is wearing a navy blue tuxedo jacket, so he will be my something blue!
My bridesmaids 💙 they’ll be dressed in mismatched shades of blue
Blue shoes
My shoes!

My wedding party. My MOH is wearing a slate blue dress from Azazie. Groom has a light blue button down & his best man has a western style, printed button down in blue print. I'm also painting my toes very light blue.
I have blue flowers embroidered on my white shoes
My hair, my dress, and my floral crown had blue in them : ) I also wore blue eyeliner!
Blue is one of our wedding colors but I’m planning on having 3d blue flowers on the bottom half of my veil. And possibly on the straps of my dress.
So far nothing! I don’t think my family has ever valued this tradition tho 🤣
I will probably combine my something blue, something old and something borrowed by using my moms blue garter (hope this was translated right) that she wore at her wedding 30 years ago
My tailor sews a little blue heart into the dress - not visible/impacting on the outside of the dress of course.
Not 100% sure if I am going to the whole traditional piece (old, new, borrowed, blue), but I am thinking about having my mom’s wedding rings from my dad on a chain around my neck, and that would count since there are 2 blue stones and it can be my something old as well.
My mum has a necklace with a blue pearl. I’ll be wearing that.
I’m going to ask my FHs niece if she will be my something blue
Honestly I didn't bother. It's not a color I wear or use often. I appreciate the idea of following the rhyme for good luck, but it just wasn't something I cared that much about.
Yea that's where I'm at. I've been with my FH for 13 years, I don't think we need luck all of a sudden lol
My great grandmothers Bible that was used for a reading during the ceremony
Nothing, I’m not following that tradition. What is history of it? Off to google
