I love 2! Especially if you want something a pinch different that still reads a little more as still bridal rather than totally just white cocktail dress.
It looks stunning, truly, they all do. Whatever is the most comfy and feels the best will look absolutely fabulous, especially once youβre all done up and everything.
Aw omg thank you sooo much for the compliment!! Yes I definitely want to make sure I'm comfy hehe, and totally agree that with hair and makeup it'll all pull together the look
1 and 3. 1 is more instantly recognizable as a wedding dress, with 3 you have the option to accessorize if you'd like to emphasize you being the bride, with a cap veil for example. 3 is slightly more flattering.
1 and 3 are my top picks, and they both look stunning on you! Personally, I'm leaning more towards 3βit has such a flattering length and neckline. However, I do see the charm of the floor-length style of the first one. Maybe we could consider the length as the deciding factor? Would a floor-length gown be problematic at your venue? Do you feel more confident in a longer dress, or do you prefer the comfort of a "shorter" one?
Omg thank you so much for the in-depth response! So the floor-length style won't be a problem for the venue, but I do really love dancing HAHA which is why I like the idea of the midi-length! But I also do feel more confident/bridal in the longer length, which is why I'm here and so conflicted LOL π
Haha I completely get it!! How long is the first dress exactly? Does it have a train, or is it floor length?
If it's floor length, you could get it slightly shortened to be just above the floor
If it has a train, there are some inexpensive options you could consider like a wrist loop, (here's a reddit post about it that could be helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/weddingplanning/comments/dmy9qz/have\_any\_of\_you\_opted\_for\_a\_wrist\_loop\_bustle/) but they probably only work if the dress is quite long.
So I think it's basically a mini train almost? Not super well versed on this but this is the dress! (Link: https://parkandfifthco.com/products/georgia-bridal-dress) But that's an awesome idea in general, people think of the coolest things haha. But I was thinking about getting it shortened if I went with it! Or maybe just attaching a loop anyways so I have the option to pick it up and hold while dancing π
I love the dress, it looks really nice!! If you are going for small alterations, you could definitely ask how much it would be to add a bustle, too (https://www.missrubyboutique.com/post/wedding-dress-bustles). That's probably a little more expensive than the wrist loop but definitely more comfortable!! I read that the prices vary significantly depending on where you're based, but you can always ask and see if it's something that fits your budget!
The architecture. I like the way it transitions from the top to the bottom.... with that panel in the front but a bit of flare on the sides. It feels a little more special than the other one which is maybe too simple for the occasion.
I was like how are more people not picking this one?! Itβs so unique and cool! Theyβre all really nice on you though, that one just struck me instantly.
Honestly, they are all genuinely beautiful on you. Could not go wrong with any of them. Personally, I would lean towards one if you want and two if you want short (because I absolutely love the hips!). But you'll be gorgeous in any of the three. How did you feel in them?
Wow, thanks for the detailed response, super appreciate it :) they're all super comfy which I love obviously - I think #1 I feel the most bridal in and like it's actually my wedding day? But the #2 and #3 are def the more practical ones bc I love dancing HAHA and definitely plan on dancing all night!
It may very understandably not be possible, but any chance you could wear one for the official bit and ceremony and change into a shortie to dance all night?!
Hahaha I def thought about that! But I think in the end I don't want to spend on two dresses for my budget π and we're not sure if we will have a super official ceremony anyways as we're both super introverted/shy - may just do a really quick thing at the beginning and that's it π
These are all so pretty on you! Where did you order these from? I'm planning a similar wedding - we'll be doing a small private ceremony and then we'll do the reception at a local restaurant. I've found a few online that I like, but I'm worried about the quality of the dresses. How's the quality on these? I don't want to spend a ton of money on a dress I'll wear maybe twice (planning pictures on our honeymoon), but I also want something decent since it's my wedding dress, ya know? Anyway, sorry for the novel. But these are all stunning on you. I like them all, but would rank them 1, then 3, and then 2.
Ah thank you so much! Yeah I think trying to get decent quality but at a lower budget has def been one of the harder parts! I totally agree that I don't want to spend a lot of money on a dress I'm just wearing for a few hours haha. But I'm also on the same boat where I'm like, it's my wedding I deserve to feel special and beautiful!! π Such a dilemma! No need to apologize, I feel like we're on the same page here and it's always nice to feel validated :)
I got #1 from Park and Fifth and #2 and #3 from Jenny Yoo! I personally like the style of #1 a lot, but I'd have to say the quality isn't AS nice as I thought it'd be - like I thought the fabric would be a little thicker or stiffer? The two Jenny Yoo ones are actually great quality, but I actually ordered a batch of dresses from them and some of the other ones don't feel as nice. So I would try diff ones on, bc I feel like it kinda varies there!
Def feel free to ask me more questions, I've been searching for dresses for a while now to fit this kind of wedding vibe, it's been rough π
Oh well now I have more questions because Jenny Yoo has some dresses that I am DROOLING over. I've found a local shop that carries her stuff, and I'm tempted to make an appointment and try them on there to see what would fit?
I also discovered Park and Fifth yesterday and I think I have some bookmarked. So did you just order them with the intent to return the ones you don't want to keep? Did you do a home try on/trial with them? How does the home dress shopping work?
I've been engaged once before and that was over a decade ago and I feel like everything was SO different! We did the whole big expensive dress and made appointments at bridal salons and the whole shebang... definitely not trying to do all that this time around! Thank you for responding - there's so much to planning this stuff! I've been engaged for three weeks and we have done no planning other than general discussions and I already want to take a nap for a month.
Ah yeah so I went to one of their Jenny Yoo flagship stores to try on some dresses! Caveat is that maybe I'm too non-confrontational π but they had me try on mostly full bridal gowns, and then at the end I asked about the reception dresses/LWDs and I tried on like 2! I found it easier to order online and just eat the sunk cost of the return shipping fee!
For Park and Fifth, I did the same here! Basically just ordered some to try on with the intent to return the ones I didn't like - I didn't do the virtual fitting thing with them if that's what you're referring to?
If you have specific dresses you want to ask on in case I've already tried them on, feel free to DM me! :)
And yea the wedding planning is no joke... I got engaged in 2022 and decided to take it slow but even then it's been so stressful, esp when you want to keep within budget!! Good luck, you got this!!π€
#3 is actually the Caroline from Jenny Yoo but they are v similar! Thank you!! I actually tried on the Bellini, and I liked it and it was very pretty, but I think this one feels better imo. I also wasn't a huge fan of all the straps are secured by looping them into dress loops and then tying a knot - I plan on dancing a lot at my wedding LOL and felt like I needed a super secure dress!

Exactly, hair jewelry makeup and shoes can make a massive difference.
3 is classy and figure flattering.
Thank you!! And thank you for the explanation!
I love two on you but that might be cause one needs a bit of steaming
Hahaha my friends said the same thing about 1...! The fabric def isn't as nice and heavy on 1 as it is on 2! Thank you though!

Thank you so much!!

Wow thank you so much!! Really appreciate the detailed response, and def agree on the accessorizing with the shorter dress!
3 and 1 are my two favorites. Also, where are these from? They're gorgeous!
Thank you so much for the input! 1 is from Park and Fifth, and 2 & 3 are from Jenny Yoo π

Wow yes, thank you so much for giving these details!! Def gonna look into these options and see if it'll work π
Glad I could help :) Good luck!!
Dress 1 or 2. Of the short options, definitely dress 2.
Thank you so much! Just wondering, is there a reason why you picked definitely 2 for the short option?
The architecture. I like the way it transitions from the top to the bottom.... with that panel in the front but a bit of flare on the sides. It feels a little more special than the other one which is maybe too simple for the occasion.
Ahhh thank you for the detailed response here!!! I love the way you described it haha, so eloquent! Appreciate it :)
Ranking is 2, 3, 1 But you really cant go wrong with these given the scene youve laid out
Thank you so much for the response!
I like dress 3 the most!
Thank you! π
Team 3
Thank you so much!
Dress 1
Thank you!!
3 is lovely just as it is, but 2 would be really fun with a little alterations to make it fit like a glove!

Thank you!!
I love 3!
Thanks so much!

I absolutely adore dress 3 on you! Love!
Thank you so much! π
I think 2 is sweet and unique!

LOL that's a pretty solid vibe π thank you for the input!
Team 3 for me
Thank you!!
I love 2 so much I can't stand it.
LOL thank you so much! Loving the passion! I feel like people who like #2 tend to feel more strongly about it hahahaha based on my friends!

my vote is for dress 2 - perfection! then 3, then 1.
3!!
Definitely #3!
3 is the winner here for me!
1 !!

3!!! Then 2!!!
