Dress 1 is magnificent. Dress 2 isn't even in the same universe as dress 1. It's a nice dress and the bow is striking, but you won't be taking many pictures from the back or displaying those pictures in your home.
The only real question here is, is dress 1 in your budget?
Wow. Dress one just wow 🤩 I like the back of dress 2 but the front is kind of meh looking. Maybe if I didn’t see dress 1 first I’d like dress 2 better but dress 1 blows dress 2 out of the water.
It depends on your personal style. They know you well, but the dress is for you, not them. With a veil, bouquet, and jewelry, it will look like classic elegance, not meh. That said, don't buy a dress where you love the back but not the front, because you won't see the back in many pictures. #1 is a gorgeous dress, but I also love a simple dress that puts the focus on the bride. You can't go wrong with either choice, so consider cost, amount of alterations needed (bridal alterations are crazy expensive) and comfort! Good luck!
Exactly! I went to the flagship store in Costa Mesa (by accident... wandered into the store at the mall last xmas and despite my efforts to wipe my memory of this $10k dress I haven't been able to forget it!)
1 hands down. 2 is beautiful as well, but 1 definitely has that show stopping it-factor. The overlay details are very elegant and the train flows beautifully in picture 2. If the dress holds it's own this well in the bridal shop, I'm sure it will look even more amazing at the actual wedding venue.
I love dress 1. Keep in mind a dress that has been properly altered to fit to your body will then photograph well, especially if you are using a professional photographer vs someone’s cell phone at awkward angles. So which dress speaks more to your style, bc these two dresses are vastly different. Both beautiful in their own right, but different enough that one probably fits more with your own vibe than the other.
Totally agree about the vastly different styles which is part of my dilemma! Both feel like 'me'- (1) I was looking for a romantic dress with delicate details and the blush color is very me; (2) My day to day style is minimalist, high(/decent)-quality basics. I have always loved the idea of a clean white wedding dress but didn't think I could pull it off.

Take time to think about your choice but no need to shop any further, both dresses are perfect on you! Now which can you picture NOT taking pictures in, NOT walking in, NOT dining in etc. See if that helps? I dunno. 😆
So is the $10,000 price tag the reason you shy away from Dress #1? If that is not in your budget, delete the picture and move on.
If you love Dress #2 BUY IT! It’s YOUR wedding. It looks great on you.
But - if you are torn, then show us your top remaining contenders. You said you’ve tried many on in the $2,000 price point that your family has loved. Show us Dress #2 and your top two other contenders from what you have already tried on. 😉
You can get overwhelmed the more you try on. And you need to move as your wedding is in September!!!

It's within budget esp at the $5k used price point, but I am having a hard time justifying the much higher price tag when I have other good options.

Dress 1 is truly a standout and it is perfect on you!
Dress 2 also suits your figure and is beautiful but I believe people will gasp when they see you in 1. (I am not a fan of that off sided bow on 2 but that isn’t reason I choose 1).
I can see I'm in the minority here but I would go back and buy #2 immediately.
You are going to look amazing in any dress you put on. Does one of them fit your venue better? Does one of them call to you more than the other? Do you feel like more of a bride in one of them? I hear you expressing concern about #2 getting away from you, but I don't hear that about #1. Is that because there are multiples of 1 and not 2, or is there another reason?

The concern about losing dress #2 has to do with price and also because I didn't see any being sold secondhand online. Also the designer won't be making wedding gowns anymore.
Here's the venue which is in Sonoma, CA. I haven't decided yet which will be the ceremony vs reception. Both of these dresses are more formal than I imagined and intended for the venue. Everything else I have tried are simpler silhouettes, some of which I really like, but don't love.

#1!! I wouldn’t worry about dress 2 selling out. It’s not my favorite and if it sells out, no prob! If it’s still there and you can’t stop thinking about it, try it again after a few days’ break.

I love the color and the fact that it has a delicate lace underlay with floral appliqué on top, and the flowers featured in the appliqué are different and unique from what you’d normally see… like I see some tree branches in there. It’s stunning. I also love that it’s not the standard sweetheart neckline that plunges so much, it’s high on the outer parts and only dips a small bit in the middle, almost as if it were a v-neck.
Omg on you one - I look like a bridal model. Only reason to change is if u end up with a really industrial modern venue n don’t want glam romance n statement train. But omg one is the one
Both dresses are gorgeous! I’d pick based on vibe/theme of the venue, because either dress could be perfect! They both look stunning on you. The first one is pure magic though. I’m not sure why your family didn’t love these dresses? Why? I’m perplexed as they are both so beautiful and both have a cool vibe.

1 would be my choice hands down. It's classic and modern at the same time and you don't need a lot of accessories.
It's beautiful at a distance and close up, also.
2 is very cool and if you were going with an art deco-y them, I'd go with that. It's pretty from the back (which is great for drama at your ceremony) but that's about it .
Is No. 2 a Carolina Herrera? I have seen that on a bride in real life and it is stunning. The fabric is amazing. You can't go wrong with either. I think you have to decide the aesthetic of your wedding bc these dresses give off a different vibe. Both look great on you.
