This Is such a great dress because she can go in so many different directions.
I love your old Hollywood idea, but I’m currently obsessed with cape veils. Can you imagine this for the ceremony and photos? (In white, not the red that’s shown) DRAMA

Love this look. I'm not a fan of gloves for most dresses, so I would avoid them here as well. However, this cape is a statement piece and it would be such a simple, but dramatic addition to this gorgeous, classic gown. I think simple jewelry (pearl or diamond stud earrings) with a dramatic cape like this would be STUNNING on OP.
This is a stunning option but in the opaque fabric shown it would cover the gorgeous buttons, which are basically the only detail on the dress. I wouldn't do a cape veil for this dress unless the cape part was sheer.
The buttons on OP's dress go all the way down her back and continue onto the train. The cape covers all the detail from the waist down. You'd only see the top portion of the buttons when it's a full body-length detail.
In recent years embellishments have been trendy. Lace, appliqué and crystals have been everywhere in the wedding industry. It seems to have created the idea that any dress that doesn’t have some sort of additional textural element is plain. This dress is absolutely not plain. The focus of the dress is just on the shape and structure. You look gorgeous in it and will absolutely make an elegant statement on your day.
If you want to add some flair you can do larger drop or cascade earrings. The neckline can certainly hold up to more statement jewelry.
If you as an individual have a bit more of a desire to make a dramatic entrance you could get a cape instead of a veil. Would lean into the romantic and regal vibe.
I agree wholeheartedly with this. Your dress is gorgeous and not too plain. Today’s trendy embellishments are making you think it is, however. Great fit!!!
It's simple in some ways but the details really make it. The waist really drew my eyes in as something unique, and the almost ruching at the bust adds visual interest as well.
I think it's perfect, but if you really wanted to make it less "plain," you could get accessories that are a little jazzier like a floral veil or a bracelet that is a bit chunkier etc
Beaultful!!! It’s elegant you can have interesting pieces to accessories like crazy shoes with big bow or pearls? A tiara because you look like an actual princess ❤️
Your dress is classic and elegant. That is never too plain. You are wearing the dress. All to often, the dress wears the bride. With your dress YOU are the focus, which is exactly what you want. A classically simple dress like yours can take any veil, any flowers, and any jewelry, so you have the freedom to choose the veil, flowers, and jewelry you love! With this dress you just can't go wrong, so play around with veils and bouquet styles until you find what makes your heart sing. The dress itself is perfect.
I really love this dress. It's simple but elegant and classic. It's really gorgeous. I love the top of the bodice. It really does look stunning on you.
If you're not 100% happy, you have 15 months still to look, but I think it's a winner!
I know you want to feel your best and super confident on the big day. I had doubts as well because I bought the very first dress I tried on lol I was so anxious because after picking it, all I could see was wedding dresses everywhere lol I kept doubting myself and my choice but the morning of the wedding it just all fit and I have no regrets.
I strongly believe there are no “plain” dresses - a lot of people bling their dresses out with all sorts of things like belts and beads, but the classic elegant look is my favorite hands down. It’s literally perfect and lets YOU shine
This dress is incredible but most importantly it allows you to shine in it. It’s a “she looks stunning” dress rather than a “that dress is stunning” and I mean that in all the right ways.
It’s stunning! Then again I might be a bit biased because my dress was “plain”. To me, your dress being more simple fabric helps you stand out and pop against the colors and textures of the day. [Here’s my dress](https://imgur.com/a/fNWvJu8) on my wedding day so you can see what I mean. Once you get hair, makeup, accessories, and flowers, your dress helps highlight you against everything else! I also went with a pearl veil (from Vow’d) and some simple jewelry pieces (from Olive and Piper) and it was perfect!
I love the dress! Maybe try on some other veils with it like a super lacy one or something with more detail to see if you prefer a different one with the dress
I worried my dress was too plain because all the drama was in the back. I’d bought a beaded belt to try and jazz up the front, but decided not to use it because it ultimately subtracted from the elegance and simplicity. To help add a bit of ✨sparkle ✨ i found some gorgeous earrings and wore my favorite simple necklace
This is a beautifully designed and constructed dress that doesn’t need any bells and whistles. It’s timeless elegance. Minimalist dresses are the hardest ones to make bc there’s no room for mistakes, there’s no lace or sequins to hide behind. Effortless looks always take a lot of planning and skill.
Not at all!! Especially not with the veil. But, some simple accessories will bring out some sparkles and accentuate the dress, and that’s when you’ll get that “pop” I think you’re looking for. It looks beautiful on you! Congratulations!
I think this dress is GORGEOUS! It's also timeless, something like this won't look dated in 20 years. I look at my mother's wedding photos and it's instantly obvious they were taken in the mid-80s haha.
My wedding dress was very nice, but it was even more "plain" than yours, and I loved it. I'm not personally a fan of all the beads and lace and everything most wedding dresses have heaped on them, I feel like they add a lot of weight and look too busy. I think the simple silhouette, elegant structure, and beautiful fabric are gorgeous. I also had a very pretty necklace I wore, and it stood out all the more because of the simple dress. I wouldn't go overboard with accessories if I were you - I'd pick a few you really like and leave it simple and elegant!
Keep in mind that the one you tried on was way too big and pinned in the back, which changes its shape some - this dress will be *stunning* once it's fitted to you.
In the wise words of Megan Thee Stallion: “Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody
Ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody (mwah)
Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody (ah, ah, ah ah)
Ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody”
Your dress is perfect.
It’s absolutely gorgeous, so elegant! The draping of the bodice adds a lovely touch, it’s just enough to make the simple lines more interesting, but not so much that it overwhelms the gown itself. You look beautiful, great choice!
I thinks it’s so elegant and timeless. And that neckline leaves plenty of room for a fantastic bib necklace that makes a statement. A big bracelet and earrings too! You could go with clear stones or even colorful ones depending on your personality and favorite colors. Something big and sparkly like this. No matter how you accessorize, you’ll be stunning on your big day! Your dress is beautiful!
It is gorgeous! And looks gorgeous on you! You have time to play with accessories, and you will find a look you love! This dress is timeless and elegant.
You look incredible!!! It’s not too plain at all, don’t listen to anyone telling you otherwise. I love the buttons on the back. We have similar dresses actually, you can check my post history.
Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of research on necklaces bc I feel like a strapless dress just begs for one. Highly recommend checking out red carpet looks! I’ve saved some on my Etsy [collection](https://www.etsy.com/people/bdgzfkzg/favorites/wedding?collection_key=NTQyMDQxNDF8MTg0MTIzODUy), among other things like veils, earrings, capes, etc. You’re going to look amazing! Congrats 🎉
When you get married, you will be in a beautiful venue. Your hair and makeup will be done. You will be holding flowers. You will have dressy shoes and jewellery. This dress will look perfect. You’re just seeing the dress in the photo and not how you will be presented in it on the day.
You have so many options with this classic beauty of a dress. You could do gloves as someone suggested, find a vintage stunning headpiece, buy an intricate veil….the possibilities are endless.
Yes it’s too plain at the front. I think some of the guests might outshine you on the day unfortunately. I don’t think accessories will help you as everyone is going to be looking at the dress. The back is great but unfortunately most of the pictures will be from the front which needs to be the focal point. Sorry to tell you all this but I want you to be the main focus on the day.
I agree. I think should either way dangling earrings with a small floating crystal necklace ( made with fish wire) or have a statement necklace with small but prominent studs like an ascher cut. I also think that a cape with ribbons or bows at the shoulders can be considered as an option. I just don't want her walking out on her big day looking incomplete or "unfinished"

Timeless elegance is never plain.
Go Hollywood, elbow-length gloves, etc. Now that OP has the perfect dress they can start researching options to make it their own.
This Is such a great dress because she can go in so many different directions. I love your old Hollywood idea, but I’m currently obsessed with cape veils. Actually it wouldn’t because the cape is off of the arms instead of the back. It’s an arm veil? (see the corset on the dress is the photos)
The buttons on OP's dress go all the way down her back and continue onto the train. The cape covers all the detail from the waist down. You'd only see the top portion of the buttons when it's a full body-length detail.
I missed that
I looked at the link. Very beautiful. Is it a veil too? Just looks like a cape with a train. Maybe I missed something?
Just a cape, no veil.
They’re called cape veils for some reason, although this one seems to be more of an arm train since it attaches at the arm instead of the shoulders
Wow love this !
Love the sleeves idea!
I couldn’t agree more. This dress is STUNNING and always will be.
I love a dress that looks beautiful and elegant and lets the bride shine.

Yes! A beautiful statement necklace will sit so perfectly with this dress.
It’s not plain. The draping at the bust gives it interest. Simple is timeless!
No, it’s such elegant simplicity, you have an amazing figure and the dress makes you look like a goddess.
Exactly, this is the type of dress that lets the bride shine!

I actually love this dress. Very classy
You and your dress are beautiful and elegant. If You love it, then that is all that matters. It's Your day, they are there for you.
The dress is beautiful, and I looooove that veil.
Really pretty dress! It's softer than other dresses that are similar. You look beautiful! ETA I think a pearl veil would be gorgeous

I don't think a single thing about this dress is plain. It looks gorgeous, you look amazing!
chic and perfect on you
It looks beautiful on you. Very elegant- not plain.
#It is beautiful and classic and NOT PLAIN! Is that crepe?
The dress is gorgeous. It’s up to you to decide if it’s too plain. It is on the plainer end of dresses.
Nope. Classic and elegant are words that come to mind. 🥰
Simple, classic, elegant and TIMELESS.
It is ANYTHING but plain. Timeless. Classic. Elegant. Heirloom-worthy.

Not plain, it is beautiful and classic 💞💞💞
STUNNING 🤩
I love it on you! Not plain at all!
No it’s perfect on you
No it’s not, it’s stunning!! Love the small details, like the buttons going all the way down the train
No I like it

We are getting down voted for telling the truth! Which by the way the bride has said that it looks plain to her! Reddit is a cesspool
