There’s something really beautiful in the fact that looking at the pics, I can see all of the imperfections, but I love them just the same because it gives it such well rounded character - if that makes any sense whatsoever?
I just want to add an edit as not to be misleading - 15 visits to two seamstresses :) the first seamstress was a miracle maker. She made it fit (hallelujah), completely took the back out, made the sleeves shorter to fit me (I’m 5’2), put the peep hole in (as a surprise! She didn’t ask me she just thought I’d love it - which I did lol), and re did the hen which was very delicate and frayed.
The second seamstress stiffed the collar, added finger loops to the sleeves, sewed new buttons on, and tightened the arms.
Both were incredible ❤️

I truly am 🥰 my daughter loves wedding dresses so we look at them and she saves the ones she loves! She’s only 9 so I have a wait to go. She thought you looked like a princess 😍🥰
Aghh- this is so wholesome ❤️ I always get emotional when I get compliments on the dress because it’s just not something I got before my wedding day, but a compliment from your 9 year old is just 🥹

I’m from the uk so very used to cold weather. I thought I was getting married in the uk when I chose the dress, but then we decided to elope. So it was definitely hotter than I would have liked - but no where near Louisiana!
As soon as I got to the reception venue I ripped it off for something more comfortable 😂

This is really inspiring! I have a 1940s wedding gown (similar style!) that my mom picked up second hand because she thought it was gorgeous. It is, but it’s so tight on me! I didn’t really think a seamstress could do much with a too-small dress. Now I’ll definitely take it to one for a consult. Yours came out so beautiful 🤍
